For me, the one who really had a terrible past is Rin Okumura from "Ao no Exorcist". I mean, who wants to be called by everybody as a "demon"? Because of all these insults, he got angry with everyone, causing himself to get into trouble. As he grew up, he found out that all the priests in the monastery that he's living in were hiding something from him - the truth of his childhood. he is the son of Satan, the leader of Gehenna. Because of this revelation, he got angry with his for-father, but then he realized that he loved him more than his real father. His for-father sacrificed his life in order to save Rin, and gave him the demon-slaying sword. Rin swore to him that he would defeat his real father, and grieve for his for-father's death.
I know that Rin's story sounds more like Naruto's. Initially being hated by everyone due to the demons inside them, and after a couple of years made a lot of friends due to their hardwork. But, I love the two Anime series, actually. So, I guess they both really had a terrible childhood. But, "Ao no Exorcist" is just too short with only 24 episodes, so maybe Naruto had a more terrible one. ![]() |

I would have to go with Yuri Nakamura from Angel Beats. She vowed to fight against God after her three younger siblings were murdered by burglars looking for valuables when she was alive and never forgave herself for failing to prevent their deaths. That there is sad, especially if you watch episode 2 and get to learn more about her past.

Nico Robin had a pretty shitty childhood. Her flashback is the only time I have ever cried watching anime.

i forgot the name of the anime but this guy was bully everyday, and before you say that not to bad. This was some hardcore bullying they wrapped him up in toilet paper in lit him on fire and beat him then threw him in a pool.(should have drown) Then he is half beaten by these girls at school. Then he goes to talk to the counslor and the teachers where in on it to and call the students in to beat him. He eventually leaves school. It was so sad.. His only friend is a stray puppy. He befriends the dog. Only a few weeks later they find where the puppy is and cut its head off right in front of him with a axe. He was in middle school. Then he goes on a vengeance spree with his ghost puppy, but he realizes what he is doing is wrong and forgives them

Rolo Lamperouge from Code Geass
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide -While it never really says how he got to the geass cult seeing as how the anime is I wouldn't be surprised if he got took off the street. -Most likely gets brainwashed afterwards -VV gives him a defective geass that makes the poor boy's heart stop everytime -The cult makes him kill people at a very young age -Never treated like a human, but as a tool instead |
Life is a bitch, so if its easy you're doing it wrong

I'll never watch that anime, thank you.....human beings are so stupid, always wanting to blame another, especially God, for their misfortunes. That fight will be a lost cause in the RL. For me, everyone from the anime: Rainbow: Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin had a really sad childhood but I will have to choose Joe's story because it made me cry like crazy! he goes to jail or "the disciplinary school" at his 16 years old for injuring (self protection) a man who tried to rape him. He lived in an orphanage with his little sister where he was abused and forced to have sex by the owner of the place... a fat old woman who later "sells" his little sister to a pedophile billionaire. He escapes from jail in order to save her but everything was in vain(and he's captured and beaten badly for escaping). That's sad, knowing that the only person you love in the world is suffering and getting abused while you can do nothing about it. The good thing about this anime is the bonds that are formed among the companions in jail, and how they try to overcome their obstacles and grow up in life regardless of their pasts....without blaming anyone or God for their misfortunes. |
