my god people! you all complain about anime being all inappropriate blah blah blah! man you guys must love to waste time complaining about the danger of loli and pedo-bears ooh~ I'm so scared! geez just be glad that crunchyroll is trying their best to get anime LEGALLY instead of getting fansubbed anime. I just watch anime for the fun of it and I'm just expressing my opinion but you guys sure express your opinion as if you're making a debate over just one anime! sure it's slight yuri but it's still a nice anime to watch when you're bored.

Can't watch this, my anime membership just ended. What was the point of it? The ONLY thing I would watch that was membership only was Naruto, everything else was unavailable. Please before you put up anime add a requirement to the provider that all animemembers should be able to watch, without restrictions of countries.

Alot of people being overprotective :O

Here are my thoughts:

1. No censorship: Censorship ruins the original authors work by changing things. If they wanted their show to be targeted toward children, they would of made it that way. These authors have become successful for a reason, by editing their work you are simply saying you disagree with what they do.

Censorship will also lead people away from this site. While reading information about Charger Girl Ju-den Chan I found out it was censored. From the description I wasn't really interested in the show, but seeing it censored made the decision of watching the show no right away. Censorship will start leading people back to fansubs. Crunchyroll has done a good job since their introduction, I would hate to see them ruin their good work by introducing censorship.

2. Add ratings: This will satisfy the people who are underage or parents who want to make sure their kids don't watch inappropriate content. Anime isn't just for kids, so by adding ratings you can allow parents to choose what their kids watch.

3. Add a variety of content: All the recent simulcasts are right down my ally, but for others that might not be the case. Having more varity will help attract more people. Hopefully expanding the number of simulcasts would help further this.

About Kanamemo: The first episode was pretty funny and I'm glad Crunchyroll has introduced this simulcast.

This is my thought on these new summer anime line ups. I seen each new show I can so far and each seem to be geared a mature mind except shugo and few others. when I use the term mature mind i'm not talking about the mature ratings which I agree some may need such as the series Umineko no naku koro ni needs, but so far its a good anime.

with that being said kanamemo can reflect yuri, pedo, echii views its in a mature tone (censorship) on areas that may gone to far. a rating for this anime should be at least pg13 with parental guidance for suggestive themes. but in a way anime is aimed to be cartoons aimed more to the mature minds. for those in the united states you can't name many cartoons that aids pushing for people rights. in way's i see kanamemo pushing for gay rights, yet it has fun story line so far from what i seen. i don't have kids but in away i think anime's can be used to open minds of life styles. but in no way do I see this anime aimed to mature minds being 17+ to 18+.

but if you look at the new summer anime line up crunchy roll has almost all the new series so if you don't like what they have try creating your own, except complaining about animes that are not even in production

Err... If the new season anime line up consisted of just 7 new releases, then i would agree with you there.
But the list below are All summer (late June-July) 2009 releases... All in production... And all have at least aired 1 episode so far...

Kawa no Hikari- Air date 20th june
Umi Monogatari ~Anata ga Ite Kureta Koto~- Air date 25th June
Fight Ippatsu! Juuden-chan!!- Air date 25th June
Aoi Hana- Air date 2nd July
Umineko no Naku Koro ni- Air date 2nd July
Taishou Yakyuu Musume- Air date 3rd July
Bakemonogatari- Air date 3rd July
Needless- Air date 3rd July
CANAAN- Air date 4th July
Elementhunters- Air date 4th July
Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei- Air date 4th July
Kuruneko- Air date 5th July
Princess Lover- Air date 5th July
Kanamemo- Air date 5th July
GA Geijutsuka Art Design Class- Air date 6th July
Sora no Manimani- Air date 7th July
Spice and Wolf II- Air date 8th July
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0-Air date 9th July
Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahou-Air date 11th July

Total of 19 series, out of which only 4 have been picked up and aired by CR... almost all?! It's not even half.

Kigurumikku- Loli
Aoi hana- Yuri
Charger girl- Loli, Yuri, Fetish, lots of hentai undertones
Kanamemo- Loli, Yuri

I notice a pattern here...

And the lastest addition...
Yokuwakaru Gendai Mahou- Guess?

your right I seen all the series on different sights prior to this one and failed to separate them. but for legal subs this has more then most sites. the line up for the summer i also view the ones from spring still airing. as well some of the anime on the summer line up I may be wrong but are part of a group to stop fan subbing in which I over looked them in my calculation. I could do my research again, but legal issues change in which the companies may chose to be pro. even so as legal downloads this site has a diversity of anime that I regret is censored. As well its better to get what you can for a small fee or wait till its free. the site has changed since a year ago as well when the library was large, but to request licenses and permission takes time and for that understanding on my point of view for legal downloads to my knowledge is almost half, yet I may also be wrong, I glance at news and then forget about issues. in the end I also recognize that three companies hold licenses in which more could hold theme im unaware of, gonzo, CR, and Funimation. so out of the three I see CR having more diversity, but yet never been to the gonzo site, and I'm not a big fan of funimation so im biased against them. again in my point of view legally CR has almost a majority of the licenses for the summer, as well I may be wrong too from lack of legit research in which changes daily in business.

I really like it! It's cute and seems to have good characters. I also like the yuri couple. I think they are positively displayed in such a natural way. It's really good to see that. Sure the women who is more than bordering on pedo is kind of disconcerning, but I don't mind it much. It's done in a humorous and not overtly perverted way.
