Family lays trail of urine to find lost dog
Posted 7/9/09 , edited 7/9/09
i laughed so hard when i got this story, but if it was your pet, would you do the same?

A family who tried to lure back a lost dog by leaving a trail of their urine on streets near their home have been criticised by the city council.

The Baltesz family, of Clifton, Bristol, lost their 10-year-old pet labrador Simon on the night of 4 July.

When Simon failed to return, the family chose their unorthodox method.

A Bristol City Council spokeswoman said: "We would not consider this to be a good idea from an environmental health point of view."

Louise Baltesz, 43, said the whole family had been "chipping in" to help lay down the scent trail.

She said she was aware of criticism aimed at the family, but they were willing to do anything to get Simon back.

Does that actually work?!
I'd do it if I ever had a dog whom I loved. Thanks for the tip, it might come in handy for the future.

I'd do it. And I don't even have a dog.

Just joshing... I actually do have a dog and I love him so much I'd do anything for him. If I had to sprinkle my pee on the street, so be it. I just wouldn't tell anyone... mwhaha. Hey, there's worst things to step on than pee.

Like mangopop said. I wouldn't tell anyone. What no one knows, won't get you into trouble. I'd piss in a cup and sprinkle it. If anyone asks.. "It's expired apple juice"
