Only Gundam SEED is the most hated while other RRA flame wars are either neglected or disappeared into the shadows. I don't know who drew the first blood but most SEED fans tends to insist that SEED is better than the rest of the Gundam Universe without weighing up the facts. As for the haters, I don't mind them on what they doing but they should tone down their SEED fan bashing. Too much is unhealthy for both sides.

Sunrise's president, Takayuki Yoshii, believes it was because Gundam SEED incorporated elements from popular live-action television dramas. Instead of focusing on the robot action, the show focused more on the characters thats why it was not well received by older fans

Doesn't it Happen to All series that are popular no matter, the increase of popularity for a series will have an increase of antis too.

There alot of bashers for SEED and Newer series because their always compared to the older gundam or original Only (like trying to find suits, armaments or different version of stuff, similarities with characters and stories) not as a real robot anime individually overall. I'm not saying it bad too to compare them to the older series but they only think most people try to pick out is the negative only.

Before i didn't think it was a really big deal until i got deeper into it, the bashing between Gundams have really gotten out of hand, it seems really childish.

Maybe they hated the Evangelion movie because of the unsatisfying ending. Tomino's Victory Gundam emphasized the reality of war were both sides suffer heavy casualties and reprisals are expected for every military actions.

The main point of real robots is realism and fans should understand this and should accept this without a question. The old mecha fans are able to understand this but I'm nor sure if most of the new generation fans understand this.

....................HOW THE FUCK COULD PEOPLE HATE THE EVANGELION MOVIE ENDING OVER THE SERIES ENDING?!?!?

Seriously, the movie ending was made originally because the series ending was total BULLSHIT!

Sure, the movie ending was sad and depressing, but not every story should end happily.

Anyway, there new movies will end differently so hopefully those haters will shut up.

That also depends on the individuals within new generation fans. Some tend to understand the realism within the older shows as well as the newer shows from different angles and are able to form their own opinions based on it. When you get down to it, it's about what they feel more comfortable watching.

I don't think any of the shows mentioned are universally hated.

* SEED and SEED Destiny characters are routinely voted highly in Japanese popularity polls. The shows were also popular enough to get a movie sequel..

* The Evangelion movie is normally highly reviewed.

* Rarely, if ever, do I see threads ripping on V Gundam.

I'm also a hater of Gundam Seed, I mean I don't like the series in general, but it does piss me off when CE scrubs don't know what they're talking about in Gundams. Hell in some forums they don't even know what's UC is. as for Gundam 00 I actually like it, it doesn't have all that girl - attracting-drama, interesting gundams with GN and all, Setsuna is like a descendant of Heero.
