Hmm. I've decided to bring up a little bit of my personal belief's and see how people react. So here I go...

Does it really matter if we worship Jesus? Allah? Buddha? Tao? Is it possible that were all worshiping the SAME BEING? Just naming it different? Why must people fight over something so trivial as a name. Blargh..I had a lot more to write but I think what I wanted to get down I wrote in the beginning...Eh...What are your guys views?

it does make a big difference when it comes to religion, but i did notice from my friend's Qu'ran that Christianity & Islam is similar in text & other things like monotheism. Buddhism & Tao, i'm not too sure since i know very little about it. people make this a big problem cause i guess, what they believe or was taught is right & another person who objects is wrong, but what the OP is talking about, i thought about the same question as well. i just don't have a thorough answer for it.

Yes, which religion you follow doesn't matter. All religions can be right. The most any God could expect is for us to be moral and well-behaved, anything else would be unfair.

because people don't fight about the names, they fight over the outline, the details, the essence. It's like calling all fruits for apples and then criticizing people for not liking the apple-apple when they like the plum-apple. I'm sorry but I don't think your argument makes any sense. I think I roughly understand your beliefsystem, and I'm not saying you're wrong, but you can't present an argument like that. Religions are largely different. If I'm a muslim I can't eat pig, I believe that there is heaven and hell (and limbo apparently). If I'm a hinduist however, I can't eat cow, I believe in reincarnation, karma and reaching dharma. The religions are so different, and when people have strong belief in them they feel deeply about what they would percieve as wrong-teaching. Wanting to make what you feel is the truth an universal truth is perfectly natural human behaviour.

No, obviously not. They contradict. Why would a God confuse people and lead them to the wrong path? There are different religions, but only one can be right. This means, if two religions are right, then they have the same origin. Meaning they are one and the same religion, going by different names, and the books have been altered by man.

There's at least 10-15 topics on the first page alone that don't have anything to do with gods or religion. And you could always create more, if you don't want to see the same discussions all the time then make new ones.

If they are all the same guy, then he's a pretty good troll. "I'll tell these guys one thing, and tell these guys another, and then they can fight each other to prove who's right when in reality they are all wrong. Then when I get bored in a few thousand years I'll just kill them and go play Halo or something."

I'm sorry, I guess I'm the only one that went through the Extended Discussion and counted how many threads there were that had something to do with religion and gods.

I don't get why people complain about seeing the same topics over and over but still hang around and never create anything different.

I think that comment was aimed towards me, and if it's not I apologize but, why do you care? I've created a few threads here, I just could never think of something interesting to bring up.

I think its time to get back on topic!!!

In the end (almost) every religion has one supreme being as "God", so essentially we may very well all be worshiping he same God.
