In the end (almost) every religion has one supreme being as "God", so essentially we may very well all be worshiping he same God.

Actually, there are many more polytheistic religions than monotheistic ones, but many of them are dead and only one of them is nearly as widespread as the big monotheistic religions.

Everyone is trying to please whatever higher power they feel exists, it doesn't matter what it is, Jesus, Allah, multiple Gods, karma etc. People figure out a higher power must exist and make up what it really is and then try to make it happy, so they're all the same in that sense.

Well even if you look at the polytheistic religions, lets take hinduism as an example. Sure there are many, many, MANY deities, but essentially they are all manifestations of the one brahman (im sry not sure wat they call it). even if you look at buddhism, or taoism the essential factor is that there is a great force out there, a single great force/entity (nirvana).

Even look at christianity, sure they have the father the son and the holy ghost, but if u think about it, wouldnt the father essentially be the one supreme being (the son cant be it, and the ghost i dont kno wat that is).

Also Zoroastrianism has the one great Ahura Mazda.

Im not sure which polytheistic religion you were talking about...but i think it was hinduism

Although i do agree with you, you have to be careful with the "make up" part. Theres loads of Scientific phenomenon describes in the Qur'an and in the Bible that are actually seen to be true, i dont know about the bible but to have these things in the Qur'an 1400 years ago is not something to be taken lightly.

Even if you can argue that the Qur'an might have changed, if u look at things discovered in the past 50 yrs, u can pick up a 50 yr old copy of the Qur'an and it will still have the same things (many things are also present in the Bible).
