Wanted: Forum Moderators

My little introduction
Hi~! I'm Amy. I'm 15 this year. I'm a non-perfect teenage girl.I am in school's math team and I get really good grades in english which should help if I'm correcting the forums. I really want to be a fourm moderator here at crunchyroll because I JUST LOVE CRUNCHYROLL. And I want to devote time into helping it. I like to check out the forums like the site news and I have asked a few questions before. I know that a little intoduction was not in the application but just so you guys can get to know me more. I may not know how to be a forum moderator yet or I may be too young but learning never ends.Please consider my application and thank you for your time.

1) What skills do you possess that you believe would make you a good candidate for this position?
Well, 1st of all I check these forums regularly and I'm always on crunchyroll. I usually moderate forums for my groups. I know how to break a fight since I have like 4 other siblings. I'm organize and strong in grammer and I like it when things are organize and not messy. I know the rules here at crunchyroll too so that would be a big help and I'm fair. This is also my 2nd account so I'm on crunchyroll for about 2 years so I pretty much know it around here.

2) What would your moderation style be like?
The most important things would be in bold or in a different color or text style. And if there is something inappropriate or duplicates or looks like they don't belong I would delete it. Any misspelled words I would change or any inappropriate I would delete that post or tell the person to post to not post it anymore and give them the link to the rules. And to keep the way the forums are. And if I go on vacation or is busy I'll pm one of the other moderators.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?
I check the site news all the time. I also have groups so I post in them all the time. If I see anything I like I would comment it. But for posting not that much only the things that catch my interest or things I need to commented on.


4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?
No, i have never reported any inappropriate threads. Because I usually PM the person who created the thread. I don't think I saw any inappropriate threads.

5) How much time do you think you would be able to devote to moderating?
I would most likely check them right after I answer all my notifications. And I'll mostly stop until I check about all the forums. And I go on crunchyroll alot so I lots of times.

6) What other activities occupy your time?
I'm currently on summer vacation until Sept. 10. Things I do is chat,read manga,watch anime,do graphics, moderate at groups and group forums,play piano and hang out with my friends. So just to say I also have tons of plans pile up my head but I'll make sometime for crunchyroll forum moderatings. I promise.

7) What timezone do you live in?

Well, I'm a perfectionist at least. I have previous experience about being a moderator, so that can't be bad. I dedicate myself to everything I do and don't quit half-way through. I also think it's an advantage living in Europe, since most of the people in crunchyroll seem to live in the US. Moderators could be on the lookout at all times.

2) What would your moderation style be like?
Personal? I'd be very strict with the rules and wouldn't favorite my friends. There's nothing better than a well-running forum! Of course I would also be relaxed and humorous, but still a professional. The atmosphere is important.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?
I do visit every category everyday, but I rarely post anything. I've only once made a topic here, so I mainly focus on responding.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?
Oh my, very often! It's my duty as a fellow crunchyroller.

5) How much time do you think you would be able to devote to moderating?
If I get chosen for the job, then my time is yours. I spend quite some time on my computer, so I would be quite an awesome mod. : D I've applied many times to be a moderator, but somehow I always run out of luck.

6) What other activities occupy your time?
Only school and working out. I can adjust my activities so they can fit with the job.

7) What timezone do you live in?

1) What skills do you possess that you believe would make you a good candidate for this position?
Mature and professional approach to being a mod. Sensible and reasonable moderation, not being too harsh but at the same time not being to lenient.

2) What would your moderation style be like?
Inappropriate posts will be deleted and a warning will be sent to the person responsible for posting as well as a reminder of the rules users are required to follow in the forums. A repeat of the offence and the person will receive a secondary warning letting them know that they will receive a temporary ban of 24hrs if they break the rules again. Failure to stick by the rules and post something inappropriate again will result in a week ban. If the user chooses to ignore the warning and post something inappropriate again they will receive a perma ban.

Unrelated posts that do belong to the section they are posted under will be moved to the appropriate forum, or if the post has no relation to anything in the page it will be deleted along with a message sent to the user who posted it notifying them of the deletion and why.

Inactive topics that have not had any posts for 1-2 months will be locked.

Arguments and disputes will be stopped. The users will be told to stop or take it in PMs, if they continue in the forum they will be temporarily banned.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?
I have only just started reading the official forums but have yet to post, I hope to do so soon.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?
I have to friends forum so they can have it sorted. Inapropriate material can ruin entire forums where people just want to enjoy themselves.

5) How much time do you think you would be able to devote to moderating?
about 10-25hrs a week.

6) What other activities occupy your time?
Gaming, CR alot, watching anime and generaly socialising.

7) What timezone do you live in?

I would love the opportunity to be a moderator and would not disappoint. (I have moderated other websites before). I will also be completely unbiased towards the users who break the rules, wether I know the person or not, they will get treated the same.

I'm active alot of the time, I'm online most alot of the time. I have a sharp eye for when rules are broken and know the forum rules inside out. I work pretty hard when given a job. I can handle any user, I'm patient, and a hard worker.

i would be one who befriends everyone but makes sure everyone is going by the rules

To tell the truth, I am not really any better than anyone else; therefore, I will not try to impress you with skills I don't have. I am decent at English, and I would say I have fairly good people skills. I try to keep most people happy. I try to be really friendly, and help people if I can. People seem to like me. I also have had quite a few moderator friends throughout the years, and I have seen and heard them talk about moderating.

2) What would your moderation style be like?

I am pretty easy going... I would try not to interfere too much unless something really serious is going on or the overall experience of the forum is being hurt. However, if something needs to be done, I am not hesitant in taking appropriate actions. Although, I am fairly lenient at least for a bit, but if they continue... I would take more serious actions rather quickly.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?

I take a visit to the forums as often as I can. Although, I am more of a reader than a poster now. I like to listen to what other people have to say. Unless what I am going to write is beneficial to the thread, I don't really feel it is necessary to make posts that just take up space. However, I love posting in the Forum Games section when I have the time.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?

I have reported inappropriate threads. Throughout the years, it has probably been quite a few.

5) How much time do you think you would be able to devote to moderating

Quite a lot actually. Probably a few hours a day, or more. (Unless I am really busy.)

6) What other activities occupy your time?

I volunteer in a hospital on Sundays for a few hours, and I am also a High School student.

7) What timezone do you live in?

Pacific. (I live in Los Angeles)

I'm good at organizing and communicating. I'm active mostly in the afternoon and night. I also like helping out my fellow buddies.

2) What would your moderation style be like?
I can delete or lock the forum posts that are reposts. I'll make sure everyone follows the forum rules and make sure that no one is using fowl language. I'll separate the polls from the forums. I'll make the important events in bold or red. The inappropriate forums will be locked and the creater will be notified through PM. If they don't know anything about the forum rules, i'll write a brief description, so they can understand. I also like making screenshots, so people can see the problem faster. I'm good with using BB Codes. I've been around CR for about 2 years, (I made my account in early 2007) and i pretty much know what's happening. I can also make sure that people aren't spamming for fun. I'll lock the forums that that haven't been active for more than 3 months. I'll definitely do my best to help out the CR community. I'll make sure that people aren't chatting in the forums. I'll send them a PM, telling them to go to the chat room. Also, people that post in the forums with anything unrelated will be marked as spam.

I usually comment the site news. I've made some forums and polls before in groups i made.

I've seen a lot of them before, but i only reported a few at the moment.

6-12 hours a day. Since i'm on summer vacation. I'll still have time when school starts again, in September.

I'm mostly at home, surfing the web. I can use my spare time to help with the forums.

It depends on what the problem is though.

I'm mostly in polls, general, and anime. I check here a lot for updates and such. I post sometimes. Depends on what it is.

I have once or twice.

I can do a lot more in the summer than in the fall. I am starting college and I go Mon, Wed, and Fri. Thats all that will take up my time. Unless I go on vacation which nothing is planned.

- I've been in the forums for a very long time, this would be my 4th application. , I guess that's a skill! But seriously, I've managed many forums, and I have good organizational expertise.

- Follow the rules! That's why they exist! You create second chances, not earn it from someone.

- I used to post a lot of forum topics before CR materialized into a whole new dimension that I actually started getting lost. Just kidding, but if I get the job, I will seriously devote my time in the forums.

- Yes. A lot.

- Time is trivial, time is abundant... I have time. A lot.

I'll give this a shot...

1) What skills do you possess that you believe would make you a good candidate for this position?

I am organized and my grammar is aright (: . I am precise when it comes to keeping things in check/organized. When I am committed to something I will do my absolute best in achieving the goal. I give 110% go everything i do when I set my mind to it.

2) What would your moderation style be like?

I would first warn them and explain what they did wrong if they ask. Then the second time would be a ban for 24 hrs-3 days depending on how severe the consequences are. 3rd time would be a ban 1 week or longer.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?

I read them often if thats what you mean..however i don't post unless i feel it contributes to the thread or if its a question i have.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?

I have done in the past. But that would be a few months ago. However now I just go for a good read and site information

5) How much time do you think you would be able to devote to moderating?

Most of my freetime is already dedicated to CR. at least 5+ hours. Unless it conflicts with already planned vacations, most of the time i will be on cr

Currently since its summer not many things. Volleyball and visiting are the main conflicts, but I am able to get onto the internet while I am visiting

I love being organized, im fair in many ways, im open minded and have a good eye for mistakes
2) What would your moderation style be like?
First checking recently new forum topics..Lock or move forum posts/topics that are not appropriate. If a user breaks one of the rules, give them a simple warning. Then check the older Forum topics.
3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?
I check the general forums often to get updates on whats happening, I post in them if I find it interesting.I like visiting the entertainment section. I dont go to the other catagories as often but I do go there when i have the time to.

looking at how much time im on CR, about a little over 11/2 hours everyday

I have great computer skills(game and simulation progamming major), organized, patient, and level-headed.

2) What would your moderation style be like?
I would constantly be checking my assigned forums and looking for errors and misuse. I would be answering any questions to the best of my knowledge.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often? Well I am new to CR but I am constantly online so I would be posting often on many subjects.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often? On other forums I have been apart of, I have reported inappropriate threads, as well as chat rooms.

It doesn't matter for me actually.

nice, resposibilties, respect, fairness, strong.

i would give wanrin to the member that breaks the rule the first time and they keep doin it then ill ban them, lock thread that are duplicate, and edit threads that dont make sense. clearly help ppl if they dont know or understand somethin.

very often but now not much. i pretty is around the anime section,
