1) What skills do you possess that you believe would make you a good candidate for this position?
I am very efficient and I can be well-organized. I hate when things are messed-up or cluttered. I usually clean up cluttered things as quickly as I spot it. I am very good at English and Grammar, which I believe is a very useful tool in cleaning up forums, rules and etc.

2) What would your moderation style be like?
I'd sweep the forums carefully for anything offensive and inappropriate. I'd also follow the rules carefully and when breaking up fights, I'd think that listening to both sides and finding the faults are the best way to do it. I'd also listen very carefully to the high moderators.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?
I post from time to time when I think the topic is something important everyone should know about. Such as updates on the site, new anime simulcasts, and contests.

No. I don't believe in doing it unless it is within my power.

Nothing, really. Since it is summer and school is going to be out for another month or two, I am free. I also don't have a position in Crunchyroll, either.

Questions:

1) What skills do you possess that you believe would make you a good candidate for this position?

I been around forums since I was 13 (now 19) meaning I have six years experience with all types of forums from being an Administrator, a Super Moderator, Regular Moderator, to a basic Member. I see myself to be a very neat and organized person who loves to fix things that are broken/messy. I'm not the best person with grammar but I feel my skills at the moment are plenty.

2) What would your moderation style be like?

One word: Fair. I would be fair to all users and all threads. I will immediately lock or delete any thread that either has been posted more than once or is inappropriate for the forums. I would also move any thread that is in the wrong category to the correct one. If a user happens to continuously create/post threads/messages that are inappropriate I will first message the user with a warning and take actions beyond that if needed.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?

I browse the forums at least once per day while I am not watching the anime here. Of course if I become a Forum Moderator I would devote more time on the forums. As for posting, not too much but not all good things come from a high post count. My style as a Moderator would not change with 1000 more posts I am always going to be fair and ready for anything.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?

I do sometimes if a user has gotten to the point where he/she is either harassing another user or posting curses just to look "cool." Not all the often I would say. Usually the posts I see are clean or have already been reported.

5) How much time do you think you would be able to devote to moderating?

As much as is needed. I have a job that works me 16~ hours a week which means the other 152 (minus sleep of course) is my free-time.

6) What other activities occupy your time?

Watching Anime, Playing MMORPGs, Browsing Forums of either World of Warcraft or here.

7) What timezone do you live in?

United States (Kentucky): Eastern Time Zone

1) What skills do you possess that you believe would make you a good candidate for this position?
I have had some experience before with moderating and even being a Captain in a guild, Sifting through threads and posts, finding and deleting posts, taking out threads, and sending warnings to people.
2) What would your moderation style be like?
I would probably try to get along with the people, but I don't care if they don't like me for locking out a thread or otherwise, It is only throw lines of data over the internet at me, Nothing can be taken too personally. I warn them that they don't want to get on my bad side with repeated offenses, I have had experience before with having to bring the ban hammer down on people that would not comply and completely ignore site rules and regulations.
3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?
I will get on here on and off, sift through the threads and forums for conversations I like and understand. I will post in a forum if I have something to say, but otherwise I do not do much, maybe one or two posts a week.
4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?
I have not reported inappropriate threats on Crunchy, but on a community website that I am a member of, Gaiaonline.com, I have reported multiple people for doing things that far surpassed breaking rules and regulations. I have no problems with reporting others, and I have no problems with others reporting me, All of us follow by the same rules, nobody is an exception.
5) How much time do you think you would be able to devote to moderating?
at least a few hours a day, at the very least I can moderate for an hour a day, during the night or when i get back from school.
6) What other activities occupy your time?
Besides watching anime, I read manga, Roleplay online, Currently am searching for a job, I am going to ITT Tech Institute for CNS Computer Networking Systems. The other part of my time is taken up by video gaming, Playing on my Xbox 360 with the Gamer tag of Samurai John5
7) What timezone do you live in?
I live in eastern timezone, united states. If you would like me to be more specific I can, but you will have to send me a message.

1) What skills do you possess that you believe would make you a good candidate for this position?

I possess many skills, a broad range of subtle strikes and can maneuver around the toughest forum.

2) What would your moderation style be like?

A style that should be reckoned with. It is mainly diverse. Anything you say I will imply to be of sexual content, and is said only because you have unhealthy ambitions to overthrow crunchyland and shinji (just to take him home and make him your OWN PERSONAL EPIC WEBMASTER)

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?

I use the mail service here quite often in NZ as it is relatively cheap however the air mail is soooo slow. Thats why if I want to send mail overseas I use crunchyroll. I visit crunchyroll often however I DO NOT POST as then I can be traced. When I visit a place I like to take only screen-shots and leave with cookies.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?

On crunchyroll have not seen any as the moderators have done a good job keeping the public blind from the truth *** read this now before it is removed you are all like hindu cows *** without a care in the world happy because you have a forum like this

5) How much time do you think you would be able to devote to moderating?

169 hours a week!
Realistically I would spend about 3 hours a night at least and a few hours during the day however tuesdays are out (isnt that today? what am i doing on this site) anyways tuesdays are out that the one day i put my foot down i make dinner and do the dishes everyother day for crunchyroll but not on tuesdays alright

6) What other activities occupy your time?

Uni
Go toilet 4-5 times a day
Lunch time
when i get bored i play with the light switches
dinner
my partner (only need to c her for a minuite or so, so dont reali need to include it do i?)

7) What timezone do you live in?

GSM+12 hours Auckland New Zealand timezone
weird we are a tiny island yet hav our very own time zone, its kinda anoying when there is a high tide and a full moon it takes only an hour to walk from one end to the other

8) If you have any other comments that you feel is necessary and wasn't covered in the other questions, you may write them here:

The areas i specialize in are:
- Deleting or Editing Inappropriate posts
- Lock and Moving forum topics
- Stoping arguments and bickering
- Keeping the peace
- Warning users for repeatedly breaking the rules
- Overseeing the Main Forum topics in general
- Warding off evil spirits

1) What skills do you possess that you believe would make you a good candidate for this position?
I'm fluent in English, It's my first language. I feel I have a strong grasp on proper grammar and spelling. I'm a NYS Emergency Medical Technician ( A step below Paramedic) Which really helps me in being more patient and understanding then most, while still maintaining a stern agenda which is required of me when I'm on the ambulance. I'm currently a moderator/co-owner of another site(PM me for the URL) I'm also internet and forum savvy. I'm very open-minded and level-headed. I tend to look at the other side of most debates/arguments when I'm trying to respond, Which I've found actually really helps you understand where people are coming from.

2) What would your moderation style be like?
I'd do my job and do it correctly. When I'm doing my moderation duties I'll remain fair, and do what needs to be done within the rules. Personal quarrels with me due to a moderation decision will be responded to via a PM with the reason why I did said action, nothing more nothing less. I'm a straight to the point kind of guy, I'll do what needs to be done as quickly and efficiently as possible while making sure not to make any mistakes. What I do and learn while I moderate will never be carried over into my normal posting, never will I attack or single out someone who I know to have had previous disruptive or rule breaking behavior. Everyone will be treated as equals, regardless of their past history.(Unless of course it's during moderation and they've been warned in the past for the same thing etc...)

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?
I visit the forum daily, while I only post in threads that interest me. So you could call me a devoted reader, and a laid back poster. I do enjoy reading all the threads regardless if I'm going to post in them or not, I really enjoy reading other peoples views on topics. The forum I frequent and post in the most is the "Extended" forum, where more mature and focused debates happen, although they have been known to go awry a few times.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?
I've never reported a whole thread before, but I have reported individual posts. If I can recall I've reported 2 or 3 posts, the reasons were all because of personal attacks or inappropriate/hateful language.

5) How much time do you think you would be able to devote to moderating?
Being currently unemployed really frees up a lot of my time. In addition to my regular visits to CR, If I am to be appointed a moderator I'll be sure to frequent the site and forums as much as possible, the more time I spend on the forum the cleaner and more well kept it will be and ultimately the better the forum will be as a whole.

6) What other activities occupy your time?
The only "Set" activity I have at the moment is my Tour of duty I have at the Volunteer Ambulance Corp I'm a member of. My tour is every Thursday from 6PM-11PM EST, Or if someone needs coverage I'll be there from 6PM to 7AM the next day. Other then that, the only other time consuming activities are hanging out with friends, and shopping when needed.

7) What timezone do you live in?
I currently reside in NY, So my timezone is -5 GMT, Or Eastern Standard Time(EST)

8) If you have any other comments that you feel is necessary and wasn't covered in the other questions, you may write them here:
The only comment I have is that I'd really like to contribute to the CR community in anyway I can, when I saw the opening for Moderators I thought it'd be a great opportunity for me to help the CR forums and site, and since I have so much free time to spare I thought why not spend it helping out a site and community I enjoy so much.

Thanks for taking a look at my application, best of luck with your Moderator search,

1) What skills do you possess that you believe would make you a good candidate for this position?

I possess some people skills. I love to take leadership roles when possible and that's why I'm applying. I feel comfortable with the decisions I make because I always try to be fair. I may be wrong occasionally, but I will quickly correct my mistakes. I know how forums work and their inner workings. I love programming and I believe that is a strong point among moderators is getting a good feel for what you are working with.

I believe I would make an excellent candidate to moderate because of strong will for good and Customer Service skills. I am certified in customer server and I will provide evidence upon request. I take moderation roles seriously and I don't over think situations.

2) What would your moderation style be like?

I would be conservative and serious. There is a fine line between appropriate material and inappropriate. I believe I can make good judgment for what material is not allowed. I typically browse the forums in the evening when I check for updates. I don't put too much thought into what I read and I'll get the occasional laugh. though some material I see wouldn't be fit for teenagers.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?

I rarely post outside of groups, I don't see a need to talk unless people ask for specific information or people are just chatting. I'll browse around, maybe not every conversation or subforum, but I tend to get around.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?

I rarely see inappropriate content to report, but I do report if it is not up to the code of conduct or my personal standards.

5) How much time do you think you would be able to devote to moderating?

I would devote around 3 hours a day to the forums. This would be plenty of time to check the forums and respond to everyone. I might even use the forums more since I'm in a moderator position because I would feel obligated to use my privileges to keep the community clean.

6) What other activities occupy your time?

I play World of Warcraft which consumes most of my free time. Aside from friends and family duties. I spend most of my time at home or working outdoors. I will be attending College later this fall, but that won't be too much of an impact on my schedlue since I've been building my free time around when I would have free time.

7) What timezone do you live in?

I live in GMT -5:00 Eastern Standard Timezone

8) If you have any other comments that you feel is necessary and wasn't covered in the other questions, you may write them here:

I feel that the way you posted made this position sound like a hobby more than a privilege. People should take the role of moderator seriously. Some of the posts I've read don't sound serious at all. If you want someone with devotion and dedication, I'm the right pick for the job.

1) I like to correct mistakes.
2) I would give 1 warning, then would be a short term ban, and then would be a long term ban.
3) I like to check out the forums when I find an interesting topic, and I post in them a lot. I have not been as frequent lately as I had been a long while back, but if given the responsibility of being forum mod, I would more frequently check out the forums.
4) I have, but only once or twice.
5) I have plenty of time on my hands, I could devote most of the night to Crunchyroll.
6) I go out with my friends a lot.
7) Central Standard Time (I live in Chicago, Illinois)
8) I would personally rather be a chat mod, but I would be glad to help out the well being of the website in any other way. ^_^

1) What skills do you possess that you believe would make you a good candidate for this position?

I believe I am the type of person who best fits a forum mod position because beyond the expected personal organization and command of the English language I feel I have the personality which fits said role. I do not hinder users from personal speech except when is needed, much the same as when needing to step in and with a subtle post stop an argument dead in it's tracks.

Post this I have a few years experiencing on an online RP board that held captive several published authors. This has helped carve my skills in the area of modding to a degree I feel can be applied here.

2) What would your moderation style be like?

My moderation style would be and is whatever style I feel fits the task at hand. Every person is different and reacts to situations differently. Typically I'm a very relaxed subtle forum mod, and although I am always polite I do sometimes have to take a firm stand point for those more stubborn users.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?

Much like I said on the Toradora application *Which I passed* I am not a person who feels a great need to post my opinions unless I feel strong about it. However, although I do not post on a regular basis I am still always reading, from the shadows one might say /wink

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?

I have never reported an inappropriate thread before because I have never seen one, I guess that means the current mods are doing there jobs well. I have reported individual users and dealt with them on the current Toradora forum I mod.

5) How much time do you think you would be able to devote to moderating?

Well it is summer vacation right now so a great deal of time, come Sept/Oct I would say 4-5 hours per day Mon-fri and more on weekends.

6) What other activities occupy your time?

Other than modding Toradora and trolling other forums I'm an active Anime watcher and a casual mmo player. Neither of which thanks to my duel monitor display would hinder me from the work at hand.

7) What timezone do you live in?

GMT - London

8) If you have any other comments that you feel is necessary and wasn't covered in the other questions, you may write them here:

I believe I sold myself well enough here, however If there is something you wish to clarify please feel free to pm me.
