1) What skills do you possess that you believe would make you a good candidate for this position?

I believe when it comes to being a moderator you must not only be strict, but have a no nonsense attitude. A moderator's job is to enforce and obey the rules of the website, making sure that everyone is enjoying themselves, but also reminding them that there are something’s that shouldn’t be done and if broken will be dealt with. As an Administrative Clerk I know it is my responsibility to make sure everything is in proper order. I must set appointments, send out tickets, type important documents, and give people information on what they need to do (lot to do for a 16-year-old).

I am responsible, straightforward, assertive, and a good listener, and that if I become a Forum Moderator I will do whatever I can to show everyone here that I'm a dependable candidate.

2) What would your moderation style be like?

I'd be tolerant but strict, especially when it deals with topics that would cause offense such as racism or other unnecessary commentary. Things like that should not be looked over and would be deleted immediately. I would try to give out warnings and bring peace to a dispute, but if it continues than bans will be given depending on the violation. I would keep a vigilant eye on the forums, making sure threads are where they’re supposed to be and duplicates are locked. Topics that have no meaning, (such as spam games, rate me threads, etc.) will also be locked.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?

Oh I visit the forums daily, that's my favorite activity here on CR. I can usually be seen posting in the General or Extended Discussion. Sometimes I venture off into others like Forum Games, Anime, and Fanfiction, but not often. I love a good debate (or a silly conversation.) It’s fun to talk to people, even if it can sometimes get out of hand.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?

Mostly yes, especially if I know the topic is causing people to spam or has no meaning, but if it's already been informed to the moderators I’d suspect that they’ll eventually handle it and don’t bother.

5) How much time do you think you would be able to devote to moderating?


At least 4 to 6 hours at the most over the weekdays and about 8 during the weekends.

6) What other activities occupy your time?

Besides reading and enjoying my summer, nothing really.

- I'm a Responsible,organized person and active on CR i've been chosen as a mod in Shugo Chara library and its running smoothly.

2) What would your moderation style be like?


Forum moderation style:
1-I'd Ensure that the thread is in the right section.
2-check of the thread's availability and lock it if its a duplicate.
3-Delete or Edit Inappropriate posts.


Users who break the rules:
1-I'd give a warning before kicking or banning the user.
2-if his act continues I'll be sending a less friendly warning informing him about the rules and
the punishment he's facing.
3- on the third offense I'd ban the user for a week and explain the reasons for punishment.




3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?


- i check the forum whenever i'm on and post in the interesting threads i've noticed lots of duplicates that need to be locked immediately.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?

- yes i've reported some ,when i catch a sight of duplicate/inappropriate threads or the ones that need to be moved from the section.

5) How much time do you think you would be able to devote to moderating?

- i can be on everyday and spend mostly 8 hours .

- Surf on CR and moderating Shugo Chara - Earl and Fairy
- improve my guitar skills.
- watch anime/Dramas.

-I'm a CR supporter since June 2008 as a Star member and don't think of leaving the site, if i had been chosen as a forum moderator I'd ensure that all threads are in the correct Forum i would like to be off help and hope I'd be considered as a choice.

I'm good in English and I think is one of the skills you need for being a forum moderator as it will help in editing posts. I am also organize and responsible. I tend to be a perfectionist when some things happen.

2) What would your moderation style be like?

I would give the violators a second chances. If they will still go on continuing to violate the rules then I'll not hold back and go on to give them their desired punishments. I am also strict when it comes to rules.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?

I usually go to the forums when I'm online which happens like 2-4 hours everyday depending on the schedule. I usually post when I go to the forums whether it would be anime to general to extended discussions.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?

Actually, I haven't reported an inappropriate threads yet though when I found one, I would go PM the person that started it to stop putting unnecessary threads.

5) How much time do you think you would be able to devote to moderating?

Depends on the schedule but I am usually online everyday. It could be 2-4 hours or more when there's no classes.

a. The activities/projects that needs to be accomplished since I'm a graduating high school student.
b. reading books/manga
c. watching anime
d. listening to music

Patience and the will to do what has to be done.

2) What would your moderation style be like?
For forumers: Minimize the trolling and flaming of abusive users that only desire war and conflict among crunchy users. It seems to me that because of such people, new users are encouraged to leave this site even before they have explored and discovered what it has to offer and give them which is very sad. Also, give and pay attention to those users who need help.

To the threads: As I am a super lurker, I'd check every page of a certain thread so as to thoroughly be certain if it's appropriate or not. I love to search and hunt for duplicates too.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?
Each time I log in which is pretty much everyday. More than 3 hours a day I must say. Hmm. I used to, before. I stopped, though. I'm more of a lurker now. I do post, still. But if and only if I'm really sure that I can at least contribute something to the discussion and if I find the topic interesting to do so.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?

Yes, I have. Not very often, though. Just every once in a while especially when it isn't reported yet.

3 or more hours a day.

Good day!

~I am patient, hardworking, organized, dedicated and optimistic. I take every job seriously, be it paid or not, as long as it calls for duties and responsibilities. Aside from that, I'm not so hot headed. I do not act on impulse. I take my time in thinking things out but not to the point I use procrastination. I work effectively and efficiently.

2) What would your moderation style be like?
~I will make the effort to check out forums and read each post hasty and efficiently. I will also serve as a role model to everyone by following the rules. I practice what I preach. In addition to that, like what I've said before, I will not act on impulse.There will be degrees of the discipline implement, and it will vary depending on the gravity of the violation.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?
~Not so often. I do reply to topics whenever it catches my attention and if it make sense.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?
~No. Honestly, I'm not so sure if my reports will be noticed because I do know how crazy the forums are, and that I know there are lots of concerned crunchyrollers who do make the effort to report. I also believe that most of the reports will be the same and I am concerned as to how much burden it will give to the forum mods should the reports are duplicated.

5) How much time do you think you would be able to devote to moderating?
~About 2-3 hours a day. Should I be picked as a moderator, most of my online time will be devoted to modding.

6) What other activities occupy your time?
~I work as a nurse 8 hours a day, five times a week. After work, I do nothing and stay at home, do some chores, video games and crunchyrolling.

This is an addition to my answer in #2: After some time of thinking about this job I'm hoping to get, I stumbled upon a little idea on how to keep tracked of the crunchyrollers. In order for me to know how many times a person have committed an offense, I will list down names of those who have been noted to be an "offender". In addition to that, I will also list down how many offenses they have committed in order to implement the corrective measure appropriate to the severity of the offense.

My ability to listen to other people's opinions and my ability to speak honestly about people's problems as well. I have also been trained in peer mediation so I am also capable in handling aggressive arguments.

2) What would your moderation style be like?


My moderation is that I would check out the reported inappropriate threads first and judge whether it was a duplicate or offensive. Then I would move on to the less frequently visited threads because there are a duplicates among the less frequented. After that I would check out the most frequently visited threads and check out any problems.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?


I check the official forum categories every single day and I read everything that is going on at crunchyroll. I do post a lot in the forums but it varies day to day because it depends on how I am feeling that day. For example if someone died in your family, would you have the heart to post in the forums?

I have reported inappropriate threads before, I report them at least 5 times per week.

5) How much time do you think you would be able to devote to moderating?

I will be able to devote at least 6-10 hours or more depending on circumstances to moderating.

I do not have any other activities that occupy my time as of right now because of summer vacation. But when school starts I will have clubs and of course school but I will still have the same amount of time to devote to moderating.

I'm pretty smart, responsible, mature, old as the hills and twice as dusty, and I don't dither if something needs to be done. I do what is necessary without wasting words. I'm fairly level-headed and won't go all Mod-God on anyone.

2) What would your moderation style be like?
As fair as possible. I know there are some people who report threads left, right, and center, so I'll be sure to take that into consideration and not just lock everything that comes by. But I'll lock duplicates, spam threads, and troll threads in a heart beat. I like CR to be neat and tidy, so I'd probably edit headlines a lot. (Forum Mods can do that, right?)

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?
Every day (I wish I was kidding), and yes. Topics and replies.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?
Yes, all the time. People being idiots on the forum annoys me so much. It also really bothers me when people just sit around and poke fun at the person who started the thread. I mean, just report it and move on.

More than I probably should. I mean, I'm on the computer all the time, haha.

Work. But it's only a small job.

- i am not impulsive in making decisions, and i am considerate in any way i can but still i abide by the rules. however when i think that something is not following the set standards that should be followed then i will not hesitate to speak my mind and remind them of the terms that should be followed.

- basically, i am considerate, however with strict compliance of the set standards. and i would see to it that everything is clear to the party concern so as to avoid misunderstanding and misjudgment of the situation.

- usually i post whenever i go to CR, and if the topic interests me. i usually post at drama, polls, general, and music.

I would say that i got a decent grammar as I have always gotten great grades in my English classes. I feel that have a high sense of justice, and I feel that I am a very responsible person, so If I do work with something I do it thoroughly.

Well, i will not be a too harsh moderator, there should be a good reason for locking threads or banning forum dwellers.
I will be serious in my work and work thoroughly as a moderator. Moderation before lock, and warning before ban.

I visit crunchyroll every day and the forums almost every other day. I don't post too often though.

I'm good at organizing stuffs because I don't want things left messy and unattended. I know the rules, and I know a rule-breaker when I see one.

I will check every single forum section and undergo a thorough scan to find if there are rule-breakers lurking around.

Everyday, I'm online. Everyday, I post replies.

Yes, as long as I see one, it's as good as reported.

-I have a high-tolerance, and would take the time to see who said what and who did what.
-I strongly believe in common courtesy and nettiquette.
-I will respond promptly to prevent or at least stop situations from escalating where personal flaming, attacking and retaliating are taking place
-I will respond strongly to comments/forum posts where harassment, threats, swearing, discrimination occurs or racial slur is involved.

I'm real active, and have experience with modding groups. I'm a mod in almost all of the groups I'm in. I'm also a series moderator, which I mod for the series Bleach and One piece. I'm online most of the time. I have a sharp eye for when rules are broken and when threads need to be locked. I frequently report threads and know the forum rules inside out. I work pretty hard when given a job. I can handle any user, I'm patient, and a hard worker.

2) What would your moderation style be like?
A patient yet assertive mod. I would get the job done and make sure users are following the rules. I'd make sure everything is organized and help any user that needs help with the site. I'd lock duplicates, inappropriate threads, and move threads around if they're in the wrong section. I would also take time to delete spam and edit.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories and do you post often?
I'm always on the forums, either browsing, reading posts, reporting, or replying almost every day.

Yes I have, I've been reporting for almost 2 years now.

I'd devote everyday to moderating. I'm always here everyday, and through different times. I usually stay up late at night, so I'll be online until 4 am sometimes as well.

Just working out, and spending time with my friends.

i think that i would make a good candate for this, because i go online almost everyday, and plus i go to forums a lot, and i have read the rules and regulation about forums and what to post and spams, i also read every single one of the first post that is in a particular forum.

2) What would your moderation style be like?
my moderation style would be mostly like warning them once they break the rules more than 3 times, and after that will have punishments, like banned for a 3 day period out of the forums.

i post on them about once or twice weekly

i have reported imaapropriate threads to other mods, probably like 5 times a month

i think i could dedicate about 90% of the time i spend on CR on moderating

mostly its just crunchyroll, and then theres IMing and thats oretty much it

Ive been thinking of improving some of the forums, liek deleting old unused topics, and then clean up unused threads. The site will get really full eventually, and helping clean all those NEW threads that no-one posts on should be removed (if its already been 48 hours and no new posts come in, they should erase those threads) they just clutter up the site. We should also delete those double posts like "vs" posts, and those "clone posts" (thats how i call them) ex. "what do you think of soccer?" and "is soccer a good sport?". You can see that it is just the repeated topic in a different name, those things are NOT worth posting on , there should only be ONE official thread for any kind of topic(s).
