Remus is the largest city in the world.
It's nine rings (or districts) separate the many parks, schools, vendors, and other interesting sights. Each ring holds something new and different for the eye.
In the middle of the city is were the King rules and the affairs of the world are discussed within the Royal courthouse, and Magic users study at the Crystal University.
Remus is the bastion of Mytlon. Without Remus there is no Mytlon. So, the rigorously taught guards protect their city with their lives!
Outside of Mytlon exists a small port named Renold's Landing. No one rally goes there because ill-rumor has said pirates reside there. Even though it's right next to the huge city, the guards do not take notice of it. Who knows why. Rumor says it could be bribes, or just lazy watch.

Jordyn watched the kids playing in the park, silently wondering why she was here. Her awakening was tough and she wasn't too happy with it. The stars hadn't spoke to her for three nights, and Jordyn was growing with agitation.
A cool wind swept over her way, carrying a paculiar scent her way. She remained as she was as she searched her still sleeping mind the bearer of this scent. But before she could decipher it, a figure appeared beside her on the park bench.
"Jordyn," the voice said warmly. "I knew I sensed your awakening."
The kids in the park squealed excitedly and the sun above them was just setting, sending closing rays across the sky to touch the clouds with colors of pinks and purples. The treetops were golden.
Jordyn looked at the new presence with annoyance, "What do you want?"
"What I've always wanted, Jordyn, love," his velvety voice washed over her.
Jordyn stood defensively, "Yea? Well you can go to hell, cause you're not gonna get it!"
Jordyn then stalked off, annoyed. What was up with this vampire witch's persistence?

James made his way through the stone streets; knights watching him from every corner. Faceless and tall, the knights struck fear into any would-be assassins trying to harm the king.
James always felt nervous when he had to come this way. He knew the knights were watching him behind their steel visors, waiting for James to make one wrong move. Even a prime minister was treated with suspension amongst the ninth and final ring.

As James approached the castle, two knights crossed their spears and waited patiently."Name and purpose!" one knight yelled. "None may enter the kings castle without pure purpose!"
"I come with news for the king" James said. "Please, it's very important."
"What news?"
"No news a knight should know! Now let me in!" James yelled.

The Knights parted their spears, and the prime minister walked on.

"What!?" the king, Harold, yelled upon hearing the words of James Silton. "Are you sure? Are you positeviely sure?"
"Yes my lord. I fear that the news I give you is more than true. If we can't do something about it, Mytlon will cease to excist.

In recent years, Mytlons resources have been depleting rapidly. No one quite knew; the rich blamed it on the poor and the poor had blamed it on the rich. James, seeking to end the shortage, had proffesionals go from mine, to lumber camp, to fishing company to record the harvesting rate of each. Today he had receaved the results. And, they showed that Mytlon was running out of it's neccessities. A mathematician had predicted that Mytlon will run out of resources in 2 years...

"What shall we do my lord?" James asked.
The king sat on his throne with his hand rubbing his forhead. "I do not know..."
"What about the new world, my lord? Surely they can help us!"
"What!? And appear as a beggar!? I think not!"
"Be serious my lord! We must!"
The king sat there; contemplating the consequences of his next decision. Should he appear weak and go for help or should he maintain the strong image he worked so hard to create? Should he risk extinction or prepare for future termoils?"Very well..." The king grabbed a small partchment, scribbled on the lines, handed it to james."Here's the order James. Send Corvus and his fleet to the new world. If he's met with hostility, he has permission to attack.

He appeared purposefully in front of her, holding a red rose to his lips.
"How dare you," Jordyn growled.
He knew very well how much she hated roses ever sense she held the love her life as he was dying. He was deathly allergic to roses. How very unfortunate. And Alessandri, being the bitch she was, put rose petals in his soup. She'd mixed it in juuuust so, so that he wouldn't even notice. Jordyn had walked in the room, having already smelled the roses, to catch him eating the last mouthful of soup and claiming 'it was the best soup he'd ever had'.
"Well I seem to think roses are absolutely beautiful..." he said softly.
Jordyn's lip curled, "I would have killed your stupid sister if you had not stopped me!"
"And why did you pause? Was is it... about me that makes you so weak?" the vampire witch asked curiously.
"I don't know," Jordyn growled. "But stay away from me all the same."
Jordyn pushed passed him.
"It's been forty years, love!" he called after her. "A lot has changed sense then, you know."
Jordyn paused. She'd only been asleep for forty years? Why had she been awakened now? She was supposed to be at rest for at least a century or two.
"Have they spoke to you?" he asked, coming up behind her.
Jordyn started walking again, "That's none of your business."
"Something bad has happened then," he said seriously. "They've never been so quiet... Especially not to you."
Jordyn whirled around and with her nails, cut his cheek.
He laughed, backing off.
"I can cut lower if you like," Jordyn said dangerously.
"Ooh... Go on ahead, baby," he said. "I won't stop you."
Jordyn curled her lips back in disgust and used her power to knock him back off his feet.
"Okay now that you have me on my back!" he called after her as he landed hard on the concrete.
Jordyn strode up to him and blew fire at him, nearly singing his perfect jet black hair, "Fuck you, Alex."
"Anytime, babe," he said with a grin.
Jordyn brought her fist up to her mouth and then brought it back down. As she did so, Alex went straight through the concrete and twelve feet down below ground. Jordyn then swept her hand over the hole and it instantly covered, the concrete fixing perfectly back together.
Jordyn grinned at her work and walked away, knowing it would be a loooong time before he'd ever manage to dig himself out.

James, Corvus, Charles, and the king stood at the round table; a declaration of war layed out in front of them. They looked at one another, confirming their certainty.
The king dipped his quill into the royal ink and printed his signature on the paper, as did Corvus, Charles, and James.
Each man left in a hurry to prepare. Corvus would assemble the armadas, Charles would rally the troops, James would inform the masses, and the king would be left to lead his people.

(It's official now! The war has started! Let's get this show on the road!)

Haruki wandered into the bar with no intention of getting drunk. Ordering a glass of orange juice and tipping a small packet of salt into it, he sat on one of the bar stools and stared aimlessly. Around him, dancers ground almost shamelessly into each other. It was strange, but he'd give almost anything to be drunk enough to dance like that with a stranger. But he hated alcohol and, despite being so cursedly beautiful, he would never do it normally. Not unless he knew and liked the person he was dancing with.

And then the door opened. His eyes snapped towards the movement out of reflex.

A tiny woman had stormed into the bar, a mug in her hand already; maybe from a previous bar. The tenants wooed loudy, showing this particular woman was well known.
Haruki centered his attention back onto the counter and tried to cast his gaze away from the tiny woman. He sipped his orange juice quietly.

Mulie Reprova swayed left and right on her way to her table; the table she has always sat at. she slouched into the chair and immediately a large group of people surrounded her, bombarding her with random chatting. But, Mulie was far out of it; she stared aimlessly into the air without reacting to the going-ons around her.
Mulie woke up to discover herself drooling on the table; her head ached and she felt dizzy upon sitting up. She looked around to see that the place was bare--the bar dancers left, the tennants were probably sleeping, and the bartender was standing quietly by the counter--only a lone man sat at the counter, eying his orange juice. Orange Juice? Mulie thought, No one comes here to order orange juice!
With a sigh, Mulie rose and walked to the counter. With one of her dress straps loose, she sat down and looked at the stranger. "Howdy..."

'Hi,' said Haruki shortly. He looked her up and down and then said, 'are you sure you're a woman?' At her shocked look, he added, 'you can pass for one, but your body is too slender, too flat and... I'm not quite drunk enough to be convinced. Although, if you are, I realise I am being very insulting.' He sighed, and shook his head. 'I'm sorry, I'm out of it and depressed at the moment, I'll leave you to be annoyed at me. Goodnight.' Picking up his juice, he flipped a few coins at the bartender and moved lithely towards the door.

Mulie grabbed Haruki's hand as he motioned for the doors. "Hold on a minute, BUD!" she said. "You don't get away with saying things like that to a girl like me!"
Haruki eyed her nervously; he could see the fire growing in her eyes. "I apologized. I will do so again if you wish."
"Apologize are useless! You'll have to pay me back another way." Mulie slowly moved her hand down Haruki's face, down to his chest and looked at him dreary-eyed.

Haruki flew backwards, through the bar doors and into the canals outside. "And by that I mean your death!" Mulie yelled. "NO one can know my secret!" it appeared as a sharp pain flowed through Mulie as she cringed her stomach in pain. Haruki witnessed as he could she wings forming on her back, and her hair going pure silver; her nails became like claws and she let out a horrible scream!

Mulie dove into the air, hovered, and charged at Haruki!

When she got close, Haruki grabbed her arm. 'Idiot,' he hissed at her. 'Do you realise what you did?' Haruki let her go and dived under the water, grinning at Mulie as she hovered over the surface. You just put me in my element. He swam down to the bottom of the canal, smiling slightly as the dark of the water closed over him.

He burst out of the canal, surprising Mulie and she lept back. He landed on the bank, perfectly dry. 'WHY DO YOU NEED TO KILL ME?' he screamed at her. His temperatment seemed to have gone from depressed and mild to shatteringly angry. 'For the Gods' sake, so you're a boy and like dressing up? So what? I'm f***ing GAY!'

Crystal Scool of Elementary studies (This is before university)

“Detention!” The teacher screamed, her face red, eyes bulging and a vein popping in her temple. She looked slightly deranged.

“But-" Parker cried, trying to explain the situation but the teacher was having none of it, they were kicked out of her classroom and made their way towards the detention room in defeat.

“Thanks ALOT Howie.” Parker snapped furiously as they walked towards the detention room. “There goes my chance of becoming Class representative.”

“Was funny though.” Angie giggled. “That firecracker went off in her hair.” She made a whizzing sound and imitated the teacher running in circles and began snickering.

“I guess having half their hair burnt off would make anybody cranky.” Howie said seriously.

“How could you?” Parker screamed.

“I told you.” Howie said as he made a camera angle with his hands as they walked, their footsteps echoing in the empty corridors. “I was aiming for the window, she came in the front at the wrong time.”

“Lies!” Parker yelled, brandishing his fist. “You did it purposely AND she thought I was behind it.”

“That’s because you immediately started jumping up and down and screaming you didn’t do it.” Angie said, waving her hands over her heads in imitation of Parker.

“BECAUSE I didn't do it!!!” Parker said in a scandalised voice. “I wanted to prove my innocence before she jumped to conclusions. But obviously it doesn't make a difference what I say. Hanging with you two has given me a bad reputation.” He glared at them and stomped into the detention room.

Angie followed behind him, still snickering, while Howie, remorsely contemplating the loss of his best firecracker, slouched in the room.

The detention room was a large, grey, barren room except for dozens of chairs, tables and a heavy set teacher sitting in the front of the room behind a large desk. They went and collected pens and papers from him then he pointed to three widely separated chairs and the three friends settled down to do their punishment.

“Begin.” The teacher said and they bent over their papers and began writing, “I must never set a teacher’s hair on fire…” Over and over again for 10 000 times.

Deep in the center of Royal courthouse, the King sat listening to the reports. "The fleet will arrive in Jahan shortly." The messenger reported.
The King sighed. "To have made enemies with a force we could have befriended but we will not take lightly to humiliation."
"The president is the worse of them. " The Captain said. "He even promised dialogue then disappeared. And has no respect for the dead..."
"We will avenge your brother." The King said. "What about the pirates?"
"They are still in the meeting." The Prime minister said.
"Good. Knowing that lot they will take a long time to agree on anything. Let it begin then." The King said and sighed again. War wasn't a favorable option but sometimes it was the only option and this seemed to be one of those times.

Mulie stared at Haruki in shock. What had just happened? Haruki shook his head. 'I know you probably don't want people to know you're actually a boy - hell, you know what most think of gays and cross-dressers - but why do you need to kill me?!' Mulie stared at him. Haruki jerked forwards, grabbing Mulie's arms and hugging him fiercely.
'What the hell?' Mulie gasped. Haruki stepped back, stared at him and turned.
'I'm sorry... I'm sorry, I'll go. I won't tell anyone, I'll go.' He jumped, flipped and dived back into the canal, emerging on the other side and sprinting away.

The next day, Mulie woke up with a stiff hangover and the memory he was left with of Haruki the night before. He stared at the ceiling as he remembered the exact moment he was hugged without consent. As his clock rang, Mulie slowly got up to prepare for her job as a waitress at Ayatollah, a recently opened foreign restaurant. He carefully remembered to stuff his blouse and roll up his shirt, to ensure his best parts were used to the fullest and the customers at their happiest.
As he walked down the boulevard, he couldn't help but stare at the waterway along, thinking about the strange powers the stranger showed night before. Mulie was stupid enough to show him his most powerful form; it was obvious he was a Sky Child. Yet Mulie had no idea what kind of creature that stranger could have been; obviously something related to water.
As Mulie walked through the back door and hung her coat, she was shocked to see the stranger sitting at a table through the kitchen window.
