I think you just hit the nail head on, seems the fans care more about the looks, than the music.

I don't hate Shindong (the 'fat one' of Super Junior), but I wouldn't say that he's the most talented of all of them - there are better singers, and better dancers in the group. I do agree that he does get an irrational amount of hate because he isn't attractive. & back on topic, yeah, most boybands are pretty faces, but I think another point that sells their music is the actual music. It's easy to listen to and very, very addictive pop - therefore sellable to a large range of people.

DBSK, for example, is incredibly talented. Some others have no talent, and the only reason they have their job is because they are good looking. Agreed, boy bands are entertainers and so are girl bands! Most of them (or all of them?) go through auditions and so they HAVE to prove talent such as singing, dancing, playing an instrument or lyric writing. No worries, talent is covered =D Except Fahrenheit, I hope they get better D=
