Popular anime you never saw

Fortunately i've managed to avoid most of the popular shonen series (Naruto, One Piece, Bleach). I've also unfortunately yet to see Trigun and Berserk which i've been told are exceptional series. Just haven't had the desire to look them up.

There's also Madoka which I do kind of want to see but I haven't been able to find a block of time that will enable me to watch the entire series within a two day span like I want to.
