"A high-school girl Junko Furuta was abducted by four teenaged hooligans while she was on her way to work. They took her to the house of a friend, held her in his bedroom, and for the next forty-five days enacted every imaginable form of abuse on her (and some you wouldn’t want to imagine). They gang-raped her—both with their own bodies and with an assortment of foreign objects—beat her, kicked her, doused her extremities with lighter fluid and set her on fire, and probably did many other things to her that went undocumented by either her tormentors or the police. They mocked her pain. They held her down and dropped barbells on her stomach. This last bit of torture was more than she could withstand, and after going into convulsions she apparently either strangled on her own vomit or simply died from her beatings. When the boys were questioned later about why they didn’t do anything during her seizure, they replied, “We assumed she was faking it.”
"She tried to escape, more than once. The first time, she was caught in the process of making a phone call. The second time, she ran into the parents of the boy who lived there; apparently they had known all along what was gong on. She begged them to help her, but they refused; his friend had criminal connections, and they didn’t want to get into trouble, too. After her death, they taped her arms and legs together, threw her into a 55-gallon drum, filled it with cement, and dumped it in an empty lot. The body wasn’t recovered until almost a year later. The ringleader of the whole incident served eight years in prison and is now a free man."

The horrifying things done to Junko Furuta had been collected through the Japanese court trial of the case, and blogs from 1989. They show the pain that Junko Furuta had to endure before she was finally dead. All this had happened to her while she was still alive. They are disturbing, but the truth.

When her mother heard the news and details of what had happened to her daughter, she fainted. She had to undergo a psychiatric outpatient treatment . Imagine her endless pain.

Her killers are now free men. Justice was never served, not even after 20 years.
They deserve a punishment much greater than they had put upon Furuta, for putting an innocent girl through the most unbearable suffering.

This story from 1989 is true.
Never let her story be forgotten.

Rest In Eternal Peace,
Junko Furuta

I can't believe the guy is a free man. It really scares me when these type of people are still roaming around in public. I also can't believe the guy's parents. They knew about it and wouldn't do anything? That is disgusting..

They should die, the world would be a better place without them.

He wasn't alone...his whole group of friends participated. I think death was her only solace in this case.

Appalling.. how can they live knowing what they've done?

~edited topic headline

The day-by-day explanations of what happened to her was far too detailed. Whilst I could have put them into spoilers, I felt they were unneccessary for the topic itself. If anyone wants to find out more about this then they can easily search for it on Google or Wiki.

On topic though - it makes me feel slightly sick reading that. I cannot believe that the guy was only given 8 years. It's quite a disgrace for Japan as well. I'm surprised they haven't had a re-investigation into the sentence.

This isn't the first time the japanese let someone go. Remember that guy who shot his girlfriend in the head? Then took all her body parts and slowly ate them day after day. Can't even remember if he served any jail time, he was let go once he arrived in Japan.

I know he wasn't alone. His parent's, his friends, and even the friends that didn't contribute but knew about it and saw it should all have gotten arrested. Honestly I feel kind of weird saying this, but thank god she finally died. Wish she would have died sooner, would have saved her from all that torture.

What the... Eight years?! For torturing a girl? I mean killing someone is one thing but torturing a girl for days is worse. That should be given life in prison. I hope those who knew the girl was being captive and didn't do anything live with the guilt.

Yup, all of them deserve full life sentence since they all were aware of the situation yet failed to do something against it which then puts them in the light of having tolerated it all. Doesn't really matter whether they participated or not. Obviously, Japan's judiciary system is a huge pile of sh*t otherwise those folks would be still prettily sitting behind bars where they, in fact, belong to.

This is only Japan.

We know there are many cases that haven't been revealed yet.
Our job is to prevent this to happening again with our own way.
