Dia isn't her real name, as pokegirl21 said, it's just a nickname short for Diamond. In the english version of the manga she also is never referred to as Dia, but always called Diamond and in the free space where Peach Pit has Q and A they mentioned that Ran Miki and Su are names of members from an old pop idol japanese group called 'Candies'. Although there aren't any more members in the group it's most likely that Dia's real name has something to do with them (possibley something in a song, or a simelar group around that time maybe.) You could always google the group and check it out, see if anything links with Shining, Sparkles, Diamonds or anything else Dia related. Hope this helps ^-^
