When Itachi and Naruto spoke Naruto talked about how he's been more of a brother to Sasuke then Itachi and such so I think it may be a Genjutsu where Itachi will talk to Sasuke and tell him not to blame Konoha and such try and keep Sasuke from destroying the village and such..... Maybe he thought that his auto attack that he gave Sasuke might fail and if it did then Madara might try and convince Sasuke that it was all Konoha and what not...

Maybe what itachi gave him was something to keep that from happening in the future. Itachi was one slick person, so it could be anything. maybe it might be something to shut down the sharingon or to make sasuke go blind. can't wait to find out tho.

Or some kind of spiritual weapon like the shield and sword he had!!! Itachi was the ultimate ninja he must of had an ultimate weapon!!or a power that will destroy the nine tails inside naruto making imposible for madara to compleate his plans!!!man i have tons of ideas, i just know they will como out with something awsome!!!!!!!!

Click to show or hide The ability to break Sasuke's genjutsu would be completely redundant since it shows that once a Jinchuuriki masters his tailed demon he can't fall under any genjutsu (as is shown in the fight with Sasuke and Killer Bee) and I'm sorry but the cloud thing is just stupid. As for my theory, I think Itachi unlocked the capability for the Rinnegan. After all Naruto and Pain are from the same clan and Madera says that he was the one who unlocked the Rinnegan in Pain , probably using the Sharingan.

This happened shortly before the battle between Sasuke and Itachi (If I remember correctly, Itachi revealed this to Naruto in Chapter 551 of the manga)
