'No, no, Mulie, stop that!' Haruki yelled as he ducked. He grabbed his arms and held them. 'Listen to me. This is Seis. He's a friend - only a friend. He came with me to find you. Jeez, Mulie, do you know how much of a wreck I've been?' Haruki let Mulie go, and he turned to glare at him. 'I came to find you, didn't I?' Mulie nodded slowly. 'Why did you say you couldn't accept me?'

Seis stared at this exchange, standing a little further back. Looking at Haruki, anyone could see he loved Mulie, he thought.

"I don't care if you've been a wreck!' Mulie screamed. "I don't care if he's your boyfriend or not. The thing is we can't be together!" Mulie's eyes began to fill with tears, he wiped them away quickly before Haruki could comfort her. "And...and I have to kill you!"
Mulie turned into her bird form and took to the skies. She circled for a minute, observing Haruki's expression of disbelief and pounced downwards, sticking his claws out and aiming to rip every piece of flesh off of Haruki's bones.

Haruki ducked. 'Mulie, why?!' he screamed. 'Why do you have to kill me?'

Mulie didn't say anything, just dived, claws outstretched. Haruki held out his hand. A burst of water shot from his palm and knocked Mulie backwards. 'I don't see the point in this!'

Mulie dived again. Haruki wrapped bands of water around his wrists and pinned him to the ground. Haruki climbed on top of him, holding his wrists and leaving no exit for Mulie.

'Tell me why you have to do this. Tell me everything,' he said, and Mulie's eyes filled with tears.

'I...I...' Mulie stammered.

'Mulie, I love you,' Haruki said in a softer voice, but not letting his grip slacken. 'If you are going to kill me, then I should at least know why.' He leant down and brushed his lips lightly over Mulie's forehead.

"You idiot...you idiot bastard! You're a sea-child, I'm a sky-child. We can't be together! The sky and sea are never supposed to meet. If I loved you, I'd just be killing us both. They'd come after you and me...There's no other way. You already kissed me! I have to kill you if i want to be accepted into the clan again!"
Mulie broke from his grip, knocking Haruki back. She gave a stare towards Seis's directions. "And all witnesses must die!"

Haruki laughed. Mulie stared at him, and Seis thought he'd gone insane. He was going to die and he was laughing!

'Mulie, no one's ever seen the sea and sky touch,' he said, smiling. 'But when you look out to the horizon, sea and sky meet. You see? We can be the first.' He pulled Mulie into a gentle hug. Mulie struggled, but stopped and ended up sobbing into Haruki's shirt. 'Isn't there anything that will convince you?' Mulie sobbed harder.

'But... the clan... if I stay with you, I can't be taken back into the clan! I don't want that... I want to be in both places... I don't know!'

Just then two figures swooped down from the sky. One snatched Mulie from Haruki's arms and the other punched him out of the way.
"No! Not yet!" Mulie screamed as she was carried off into the mountains.
The other figure, now a tall & strong sky child, stood over Haruki and gave him this warning:
"Stay away Sea Child. Whether the Sun Meets the sky or not, you are not welcomed here. Come for him and you will be killed!"
And with that the child flew off, following his partner.

Haruki sank to the floor and put his head in his hands.

'Oh, not now... five more seconds would have been enough...' His voice was muffled. 'Right, I'm going up there. Coming?' He directed the last comment at Seis, who hesitated, but nodded fearfully.

'You sure you want to die for me?'

Seis gulped. 'Die?'

'You heard what they said. I'll be killed if I try. Of course, I'm still going. You aren't anything to do with the sea are you?' Seis shook his head. 'I think you'll be fine... I don't know. They are all really cryptic people. Right.' He stood up. 'Come on, then.'

They worked their way up the mountain, hesistating at the crossing into Sky's territory. Then Haruki stepped over the invisible line.

Immediately two Sky Children swooped down from the sky, shrieking. He ducked and batted them away, sprinting up the rest of the mountain.

'I'm not going without him, dammit! Not unless he tells me to go and means it!'

Mulie bundled up into a little ball in the corner behind the wooden bars that kept his location known and his actions under control. He was crying.
"That human has a fond interest in you, Skrar (Mulie's true name)." a deep and harsh voice spoke out.
From beyond the bars, from the shadows of the cave, walked out a huge Sky Child. His chest uncovered, showed his immense strength and finite scars. His wild hair drooped over his face, which was sharp and flat. His wings curled around him like a cape. He looked at Mulie with a look of disdain in his sharp yellow eyes.
"Don't call me that name!" Mulie cried out. "that's a boy's name."
"Yes it is, my son! Not only do you cavort around like some human, you disgrace your lineage and insultingly call yourself female! A chieftain does not deserve such a insolent child!"
In that moment, Mulie charged the bars in her bird form, her mouth full of sharp teeth, and her hands ready to rip. "What do you know! You don't know anything! Mom would've understand!"
"But mother isn't here child. And those beings you surround yourself with are the only ones to blame! They killed her Skrar, not I!"
Mulie backed off. She reverted back and fell to her thighs, still clinging to the bars and crying. Father lifted her chin through the bars.
'My child...please do not weep. You should be strong. I know you love that man, as I loved your human mother. But you must understand, it cannot be. You'd only be sentencing your own death and the death of the one you love. You'll still have the memory of him in your heart. But let me ask you, my son, is it truly worth it?"
Mulie smiled, wiping away her tears. "Yes."

(Responding to Kindre's post)
'If you don't favor the Elves, then why not leave?" Ravani spoke out from beyond the trio.
'What?!' Tarrog blurted. "Get out of here you lousy Elf!"
"I can't...this is my home, you are the trespassers. You leave."
"I'll have no Elf tell me to leave!"
Tarrog charged Ravani. She stood their motionless as the wild dwarf screamed and spat drool from his war cry. Ravani kicked her leg back, a wire was attached to and it pulled another on the ground straight. Tarrog tripped and fell with a loud thud, skidding to Ravani's feet, letting out a paindul moan.
"Please leave."

(Not sure how this happened...but lets go with this)

Leonora and crew stood facing the council of elves. They sat in a large half circular table facing the group.
"And why have you come, travellers?" One of the women asked, a ravishing ageless beauty.
"We wish to have our flag made by the elves." Leonora spoke.
"Are you aware that for all those that come to us, only few ever succeed in getting what they seek?" A man asked.
"Yes." Leonora said. "I know the tasks you set are not easy to accomplish."
The council looked at each other then nodded, "Look for the Stone of Kohinoor at the Mountains of the Sky children. If you bring back the stone to us, we will make you the flag." The man sitting in the middle of the table, said.
"Alright." Leonora said and bowed politely to the council, her crew following suit. They walked out of the large room and disappeared into the thick trees..

'Um... Leonora?' asked the twins together. 'If we go with you, then you won't get it. We work with the two - they never meet, and they'll just feel animosity towards you.'

'I'm betting they'll feel animosity anyway,' Ajnabi answered in her stead as he looked towards the mountains. 'They dont welcome trespassers.'

'Like most of this place,' Kehkashan muttered angrily.

'You may come with us, if you want,' Leonora said to the twins. 'Your coming won't affect our mission very much.'

'We'd better not. We'd like to join you again later, if that's ok, but we are weakening again. We need to get to the sea.'

Leonora nodded. 'I understand.'

Cara leaned forward and hugged the twins. 'Take care guys. I hope we meet again.'

The twins nodded, and set off back to the ocean.

"Chrip chirp chirp....." The eagle chattered happily, seeming to be telling Ethan some sort of story that noone could understand as they walked through the thick forest.
"Shut that thing up." Kehkashan grumbled.
"Im trying." Ethan muttered and stuck the eagle in his pocket for the umpteenth time but he hopped out again and nestled on Ethan's shoulder and continued on with his noisy tale.
Leonora stopped as they came to the edge of the mountains. "Okay, everyone, this is where this gets tough." She said and looked up, shielding her eyes from the sun, the tops of the peaks glistened with snow. "We'll be heading for the mines where the precious stones are mined."
The crew nodded and began preparing themselves to make the trip up the mountainside, "How fast can you run?" Cara asked as she bent down and tied the knives to her leg more securely.
"Fast." Ethan said.
"Good." Cara smiled.
"Lets go." Leonora said.
The crew jumped on the mountain and zipped up the mountain at blazing speeds, Ethan's eyes widened then he smiled and easily caught up with them, enjoying as the cold wind whipped his hair back as he zoomed up the mountain terrain.
The eagle was hanging on his shoulder tightly, screeching happily.

(response to Chris's post)
Tarrog started to laugh, the elf looked down at the dwarf face down in the dirt at her feet, thinking he had gone mad, Tarrog arm bolted up and caught Ravani's leg by surprise, and with little effort Tarrog pulled her leg out from under her sending her down to the dirt, Tarrog stood up, snapping the string around his leg that had tripped him
"I Am not leaving until I feel satisfied with this little adventure" Tarrog said still holding onto the elfs leg, with his free hand he put on his helmet "I don't think you would win in a brawl against me either elf" Tarrog said tightening his grip on her leg "And there isn't many other fighting styles you can use at this range"
Oliver and Carin sighed and looked at the elf, then at tarrog and then at each other
"So what do you wanna do?" Oliver asked Carin
"What do you mean? if you ask me the elf is a bit stuck up, let her get into a brawl with Tarrog" Crain said looking away
"Yea... cause that's fair, Dwarfs start to brawl when they can walk, getting into a brawling match with him and winning is almost impossible" Oliver said with a weak smile "Plus maybe the elf can help us out of this damned forest... without her we would probably wonder around in here forever"
"Fine..." Carin said as they both started to walk over to Tarrog and the elf, both at each others necks.

'No!' Haruki kicked at one of the Sky Children holding him. 'Let me go! I have to see him!'

'Let him go,' came a soft voice, and Haruki looked up to see Mulie standing in front of the three. Seis was just behind, also held by two Sky Children. 'Let them both go.'

'Mulie?' The people holding him dropped him, and he took a cautious step forwards. Mulie ran at him, hugging him hard. 'Are you really sure? Will you be accepted?' His hands automatically wrapped around Mulie's slender frame. 'If you don't want me here, I'll try and find a way to keep away. A way to live without you.' A hand rubbed comforting circles on Mulie's back. He dropped his voice so only Mulie could hear him. 'But I'd much rather not have to.'

Seis stared at them, at the obvious affection and love the two had together.

"That's nice..." Seis said, and Haruki and Mulie looked at him surprised.
"Oh, I mean..." He wavered "It must feel nice... Loving someone... I suppose that's how love is..." his tone of voice was bitter and a little sad. It expressed loneliness. The tension built up in the air and Haruki didn't know what to say to cheer him up.
"W-well. Don't worry too much about it. After all you're nice and cute (Mulie stared at Haruki with anger) so it shouldn't be much of a problem right? You'll eventually find a girl who likes you."
Seis chuckled.
"A girl huh? I wonder..." he didn't seem very convinced.
