People told me it was because of Ichigo's hair, but that just makes it a lame name. I understand other names like naruto beacause the main character is naruto but bleach really has nothing to do with Bleach. Any suggestions of why it's called Bleach?

Well it was an odd title when it first came out. I do think the cleasing of the world is true, but also recall bleach can also change a color, just like how this show changed the cast and evolved them.

The Ichigo hair thing is funny too since his hair was quite the sticking point early in the series.

early in the series they talk about how ichigo's hair got him into trouble because he bleached it, hense forth the evolution of the characters weren't there at the start of the series, so it has not importance upon the naming of the series. So since ichigo is always getting into trouble because of his bleach hair before the series started shown in flashbacks to his deliquient days so thats where the name came from in my opinion
