- If an episode is available for download, usually a nominal fee is required, about $1.99.

Similar Forum Thread(s):
- For a comprehensive list of where to find certain anime series on legal websites, take a peak at the mania.com user, Chronoclast's forum post.

Articles on Anime and Licensing and Copyright:
- How Fansubs Steal from Studios, One Episode at a time by DomFortress
* "A spirited discussion on [the] crunchyroll forums, where user DomFortress explains how illegal fansubs [and distribution practices] hurt the [Anime] industry"

Closing Notes:
- I will not discuss (argue) about the legality of Fansubs, other "Anime" streaming site, and the like on this thread, as there has been more than a handful of them going around the Anime community and on this site especially. I listed these sites as legal because they more than comply with the copyright law practices in the U.S. and Japan.
- If you have any knowledge of any more sites like these, legal and such (one that has ties with the Anime companies), please share them.
- Suggestions, comments, corrections, random crap, anything else?

Again, thanks for looking, and I hope that this thread helped you.

Also many thanks to the user zendude for making this list possible.

Update 6/8/2010: ignore this post. i would delete it if i could (to lazy to get a mod). a year ago it was a reply to the user zendude, whom started this thread and was asking me to take care of it for him. He nuked his account shortly after and now for some reason out of the blue his post got deleted today. maybe a mod did this.... i dunno. . . . . now i have triple post, "yay." boy, that was a 'long winded' explanation and not really necessary. well, if you're still reading this it's yodf because u didn't heed my advice to ignore this post

original post~
Will do.

This is not the only instance of a user compiling a list of legal sources online. Many similar attempts have been made on other sites and forums. So I am not alone.

BTW, this thread is a continuation from the original that has plenty of hidden goodies in it as well from contributors. This list is not perfect nor complete, but it is still a nice reference.

Thanks for reviving the list.

Also, I would like to know the other sites and forum that has such an extensive list.
I think that this is one of the more completed list out there.

No problem. Zendude turned it over to me.

They all pretty much have the same stuff. One that I know of is incomplete, but can be found at the Anime News Network forum. Here's another and another...

Thanks for the list.

By the way, I like this list better because it is colorful. Although, some of the urls need to be fixed because they are so long and look awful.

If I were you, I'd probably update the link on ANN from the old thread to this one.

still think you shouldnt put these lists out in the boards on a site against nonliscensed anime streams- cause that just gives them a list of who to shoot down.
