What's the difference between knowledge and wisdom?

The world says knowledge can be found in books and academics. But true wisdom means taking that knowledge and applying those facts to your life.
The word smart is not the same as being wise. It doesn't matter if you're grades are all A's. That may make you smart, but it doesn't make you wise. Being wise involves making good decisions with the knowledge you have.

I think wisdom has got something more to do with life. Like a higher mode of thinking in life. Smartness and knowledge are different too. You could be knowledgeable and not smart, or smart but not knowledgeable, or both, or none.

I think knowledge is acquired from facts you learn in life.
Wisdom is applying what you learn to other things..
I dunno, I can't really explain it well..

Um.. Knowledge is like knowing the text book and wisdom is like knowing the book back to front and able to give it in your own words and add in other facts or opinions. It's like how people can memorise things, know the book straight but then if explain it the book too meaning they have greater understanding. Something like that, I think
