i think there is always some reason for the dislike, even if it isn't apparent at first. i try to give everyone a chance but sometimes it's best to follow the first impression and instinct.

This might deserve its own topic, but has anyone had just the opposite happen?
Like, when you first meet someone you feel "wow, we're like kindred spirits!" and then a short time later they start doing/saying things that make you feel uneasy.. until a time comes when you realize that you really hate them? The strangest part is that the more you hate them, the more they seem to think you're the "best of friends".
I've had this happen to me at least twice in my life and I was beginning to wonder if it was just me o.O

Yes! Yes! similar experience! At 1st day of classes I hated our clases' escort... kept the grudge for half a year, then he became my best friend...

yeah..... i meet that person last year i had almost every class w/ her i always nice when she around me but i couldn't stand her.... she lied to much, and if you like some one she like them to eventhough she had a bf she did anything to hurt ppl

i met this one guy at the beginning of last year, and i hated him... =/ and just when we started to become friends, he stills my girlfriend XD so needless to say, i kinda do not like him anymore.

I"m pretty good at reading people. There are plenty of people I don't really know but I don't like just because I got a bad or negative vibe from them. I always pay close attention of my intuition on these matters.
