Show me your steering wheel? Moreover this is a general thread on steering wheel so anything on it can be discused and posted here.

Formula one Technology - The Steering Wheel

Image

Each hand-made steering wheel cost approximately 40,000$ to fabricate, using carbon fibre, miniature electronic components, bi-directional data transmission equipment and military connectors. It weighs only 1300 grams.

These pieces of art are used not only to steer the front wheels of the car, but also to adjust dozens of parameters of the car, front flaps, KERS, engine, differential and gearbox while the car is circulating on the race track at more 300 km/h.

Although teams use buttons for certain very specific functions, most buttons are common to all teams.

From 2008.

Image

Tach is gone, gay light-up pedals are gone, 5-speed swap done, trim is back to black.

Steering wheel and quickrelease is all that remains.

Personal, Neo Eagle steering wheel (rare. $250. only wheel made by personal besides the TopSecret collaboration that's blue)

WorksBell Yoshioka quick release ($280, the real deal, not the bullshit NRG knockoff that has tons of play and wears out quick)

Hey, I got that same air freshener as you, and it's exactly in the same spot too. How awesome. Image -thumbs up-

Anyway, no pic of my steering wheel, but just imagine a stock 97 Camry steering wheel and there you have it. Blehh.

lol. Apparently many of the people I know don't have one. Maybe I just don't sit in enough different cars to really notice if others have one or not. Image

Well again, this shows how old the car is. monster tachs were 'the shit' to have back in mid-late 90's.

I'll have more pix once I have my megasquirt and HKS goodies installed properly.

Even before the first Fast and Furious. F&F didn't start it, F&F followed it.

Not my car (which is a 1999 Subaru Legacy Outback Limited wagon with a 5-speed manual), but quite similar:
