Well geez bet you can't guess mine. lol! FFVII is my favourite but I will say I do like VI as well, X was ok and VIII was pretty good as well.
I like them all in their own light though I didn't care for XIII though.

Final Fantasy VI or as some know it Final Fantasy 3. I admit I rather enjoyed 5 as well but not quite as much. The series as a whole has been one of my favorite rpg sets out there though I have had issues with some of the testing they have done here or there. 8 would have been higher on my favorite FF list if that whole draw magic system hadn't been present as I loved the GF idea in and of itself. Yeah, FF6 was the best to me over all.

Why is it my favorite? Well it has no set main character which is something I don't think can be said about most any other rpg out there. The characters were varied, interesting, and had some nice powers. Plus, I just find it hard to top using the two Figaro brothers, Gogo, and Strago.

Now it's FF IV, IX, VI, Crystal Chronicles and FF Fables Chocobo Tales. Soon Dissidia, Dissidia Duodecim and Versus XIII will be on the list when I get them. I don't really like VII, X or X-2.

I've always loved VI myself, it's story, large and varied cast, and the villain everyone loves to hate: Kefka

Marry me. Please. You too rokubungi-g! I dont think I've ever met anyone else who like FFVI, I fell completely in love with it, through and through. I never managed to clear it because I didn't level everyone up enough. Only had one group of strong characters, and during the final boss... Yeah. Gave me problems, and then my old playstation died :<

I like VI the best because I love characters, and VI has the most varied characters I ever saw. I also like 12 and 13, despite few characters and 13th's linear gamestyle, because of the characters' interactions and the underlying storyline. I've never played 8, 9, 10 or 10-2 so I can't say, same goes for 5 and back. 7 was decent. From what I can tell of the higher numbered ones they look nice and could be interresting to play, but I have my doubts I ever will though.

My favorite FF series is divided into these two factions: Classic FFs (FFI - FFVI) & Modern FFs (FFVII - FFXIII)

So far, I only liked:
- FFIV (Classic) = I liked its storyline, challenging difficulty, and its plot twist about Cecil's family. It seems I started to like FFIV a little better than FFVI.
- FFVI (Classic) = Widest array of characters I ever seen in FF series.
- FFVII (Modern) = Yeah, you know. Although it's so freakin' overrated, but I still enjoyed it. Many revolutionary stuffs started in this first entry of Modern FFs.

Hmm... Well, FF X was a horrid game with no characterization (go and check, no-ones personality changes at all, nor does anyone get anything more than slight forced development if they even get that, Tidus is easily the whiniest main character ever seen in a video game, the majority of the cast have personalities so undeveloped it's insulting, etc), a retarded story (you can't die unless you want to? seriously? and Tidus is a dream? wtf), the most horrid endgame ever (permanent auto-life is not fun, it's cheating, and having bosses who one-shot your party every attack so you need to spam auto-life is painful), the stupidest method I have ever seen for gaining super weapons not to mention the idea that they were 100% needed for bonus endgame content (seriously? mini-games? and for the most part not even good ones?), and the single most annoying leveling system ever seen (1 hour of grinding, 3 hours to level up... how is this fun?), so we can safely leave it out.

Divided between 12, which had the funnest gameplay but only an ok story, FF4, which was all-around a solid game, and FF6, which beats 4 in the first half but loses in the second half...

I'd say 4, due to consistency in quality. FF9 was probably my 4th favourite.

Also, for those who haven't beat FFX, yes, everything I said about it is true, you get permanent auto-life for the final sequence, and all bonus endgame bosses require you to spam auto-life, which is possible only because you can make Yuna spend 1 mp per spell with 999 mp, and the bosses are so slow you can re-apply it to everyone before the boss attacks again. Oh, and in order to do them you need the super weapons and a maxed sphere grid.

I think 7 gets too much credit sometimes.
I mean, after a game that's been called 'epic' how can you expect later games to match up??
It clouds your view of them. (No pun intended)

Personally I love 9. Zidane isn't the usual hero-type. He's a chivalrous pervert with a dash of good looks and a monkey tail :)
The storyline itself is more focused on Zidane's and Garnets births and the mysteries behind them rather than the usual 'OMGIhavetosavetheworld' type of thing

I loved the 8th installment

The storyline was superb and the setting was quite unique.
