Be they friend or family, i will protect them with my life to keep them from harms way. Even if they caused the issue that put them in the life or death situation, i will protect those i care for.

Depends on who it is and what I'm dying for. I'm not willing to throw away my life THAT easily.

No, people who vote yes have watched too much anime and can no longer tell the difference between reality and fiction. If you can so easily throw your life away, what's the point of you living to this moment?

I cherish my life and take into consideration that dying "the JUMP hero" way leaves everyone I know with more difficulties and debt. Your friends and families, the one's you think you're doing this for out of love, would end up in misery over losing you. They won't treasure your 'heroic ways' and idolize you. Plus, funerals cost a hell of a lot more nowadays.

dude, this has nothing to do with throwing your life away. Its saying if anything were to happen to your friends or family, would you save them even if it means losing your own life! Saving my family is not throwing it away, its doing something usefull with it. U think there wouldnt be misery if your mom died? or more if you let her die, knowing you could have prevented it? If all you care about is the price of the funerals when your family dies, you are fucked up in the head. and yes, you would be treasured and remembered for it, but thats not the point in doing it.

Personally, im in the military so i could die for complete strangers. So yes, for family and friends, without a doubt.

Giving up your life for a 'useful' reason is the exact same thing as throwing it away... you die in the end correct? It's like saying a strawberry milkshake isn't a strawberry milkshake if you added strawberries to a vanilla milkshake. It's the same in the end. Of course there would be misery, but being the one to recklessly give up your life and causing grieft for your family, isn't that selfiish on your part? Either way, someone is going to be caused grief, would you rather be the one grieving or your family and friends?

And if you hadn't noticed, I was joking about the price of funerals. Obviously you take this topic seriously. But seeing as how you haven't given up your life for complete strangers yet, then that means you do cherish your life. Which means you are, somewhere in your head, not thinking about dying for just anyone. Otherwise the American military would have kamikaze units full of 'JUMP' heroes. Isn't that, to some degree, the same thing you're willing to do, justifying it with the fact that you're protecting your family? That you would, 'without a doubt' give up your life to protect your family?

And I fully respect what you are doing for your country, so in no way am I trying to make fun of what you're doing.

What I'm trying to get across is that people need to cherish their lives more, what's the point of saving your family if you aren't there anymore to be with them? If you leave them with the burden of losing you, rather than you carrying the burden of losing them?
