What made you get your first xbox 360?

for me all my friends kept talking about how good it was and talking about getting halo 3, and finally they talked so much about it that i wanted to get it, so that christmas i got the 360 with 20 gigs hard drive and halo 3

i bought my first 360 because i wanted to mod it to play games that I burned to DVD. This was purely for "backup" purposes of course...

I got my 360 in February because I wanted a console that would double as a media station, and where I could still get some use out of it without replacing my TV with an HDTV model. Also, that was when I had the money to do it.

So far it's just a straight vanilla 60GB console.

I bought mine after selling my PS3. Why? Because there are more games on the Xbox360 I wanted to play (RPGs)

Got mine on launch day. Perfect Dark Zero was why I got mine, that game so kicked ass. Also, knowing Halo3 would be release on the 360. If Halo3 was released on the PS3 then I's have a 360 and PS3, but I only have a 360

I originally got my 360 for Halo and Halo only, but then I got CoD4 and now the only thing I play is Call of Duty. Lol.
