It was the first next gen system and the price was reasonable for a new console (not like some other systems that cost more than my monthly wage at the time they were released, yes I'm looking at you PS3).

I just recently got my first 360. For the last few years I have been a Sony guy and I still play the heck out of PS3. I stumbled upon a Gamestop.com deal that offered a refurbished 360 for just $100. That deal combined with my desire to check out some 360 exclusives is what finally got me to jump on board with Microsoft.

There were two reasons for me.
The first was the letdown by the Wii. I'm not a fanboy, but I really had hopes this console would really get the games back. Metroid Prime 3 used the controllers so perfectly, I had thought other games would do the same. Nope. Just a bunch of mini games because they thought people were too stupid to play games, I guess.
The second was Bioshock. Hands down, one awesome game. I had almost bought the PS3 instead, but after the way Sony keeps taking everything away from people (no ps2 support now), no way.
I bought it a few months ago and I play it every day. Right now, I'm playing Assassin's Creed.  |

My younger brother wanted to get one so we put our money together and got it. I didn't really care for it. Now, my brother doesn't play with it and I've gotten quite addictive to it.

I bought my first 360 because I liked Oblivion and Arkham Asylum and wanted to play them. I won't say why I bought my second but it had to do with the first having something red in the form of a ring.
