Do you have travel sickness? What's the best remedy?
Posted 12/31/07
I get headache easily. Sometimes I feel dizzy, but that's about it. I daydream my sicknesses off.

I don't like it though when you haven't walked for a long time and your feet and ankles get so swollen and creepy looking. It gets kind of gross.

Me too! I get travel sickness, never throw up or anything, just feel sick or dizzy. Especially in cars, planes and boats. (not so much on trains and buses, idk why...)

Anyway...you can get travel sickness tablets (although I wouldn't recommend it for every trip, just for the long or difficult ones eg. boat, plane) or just open a window if you're in a car. Chew gum or listen to music (the music tends to distract me)

Don't read or play games (basically any activity where you're concentrating on one thing) and if you're looking out a window, look at distant things that move slowly, not at other cars or trees that are moving fast. These things just make you feel worse!

Hope that helps

I'm fine but my little sister has motion sickness. She wears these weird wrist bands that apply pressure to some part of her wrist and then she's fine. I don't know if it really works or if it's all psycological thou.

I love to travel. ^_^

I get a little dizzy on planes, but I love to fly, so I don't mind it so much.

It's seasickness that bothers me...>.< When my family went on our Alaskan cruise a few years ago, I got seasick like I couldn't believe! My mom and I tried almost every seasickness remedy in the book and, would you believe it? Nothing worked!! X0 I was greatly disappointed...however, thanks to this, I was able to thoroughly enjoy the shore excursions. XD Anything to get off of the ship!

The most sickness I get from traveling is jet lag.. No matter how much I sleep during the ride... I end up feeling more sleepy when I get off..

I get car sick like crazy. That's why I never leave the house most of the time.

Don't read when your travelling, it gives me a headache and nausea anyway. When your looking out the window don't look at the groud because it seems to move faster than the sight you see when you look up.
