KARA to perform 2PM's Again & Again

KARA will be challenging themselves to performing beasty idol group 2PM's hit song Again & Again.
They will be performing it for Idol Special on SBS Inkigayo to be aired on 16th August. The song is a upbeat dance song which won triple crown on Inkigayo for the month of May.
Also for this special performance, KARA will be using the stage set which 2PM used for their comeback stage on Inkigayo on 26th April.
Much anticipation as to how the KARA girls will pull off the performance.

I guess we’ll be seeing KARA on Tokyohive!

With the launch of our new J-Pop site Tokyohive, just around the corner, and KARA's plans to pursue a full Japanese debut towards the end of the year, we'll be seeing a lot more of these fine 5 ladies!

DSP Entertainment stated:

"KARA's Japanese management feels KARA has huge potential in Japan and we will begin full on promotions as originally planned."

In addition, entertainment industry professionals believe KARA has the biggest potential in Japan out of all of the girl groups in Korea at the moment. Their cute and bright image will fit in very well, and in fact, there is already a KARA-Mania brewing in Japan.

Kara claims Mutizen on Inkigayo for Wanna

Kara broke the streak of Brown Eyed Girls by claiming their 2nd-ever Mutizen award on SBS Inkigayo on 30th August.

After back-to-back wins for Brown Eyed Girls over the past 2 weeks (16 and 23rd August), they looked right on track to claim their maximum quota of 3 wins to make a triple crown. But it was not to be for Brown Eyed Girls who couldn't conjure enough Abracadabra, with Kara picking up their first award for Wanna since releasing it in late July. This was Kara's 2nd Mutizen, their first coming on 8th March, which they won with Honey.

Kara seems to have continued on the girl groups momentum, with previous Inkigayo winners being SNSD, 2NE1 and the Brown Eyed Girls. But with a certain G-Dragon making his debut this afternoon, things will probably change. He has afterall already won his first K-Chart on Music Bank this past Friday, without even performing there

KARA Takes On 1000 Songs

On the August 30th episode of 1000 Songs Challenge, KARA's Seung Yeon stepped up and sang "As Time Goes By" and leader Gyuri sang "I Ask" and "Wa".

As the battle of the girl groups rages on, a little something extra is needed to push yourself to the top. Gyuri and Seung Yeon definitely provided that little something and proved that KARA isn't just about looks or butt dances, but that they have some quality talent and deserve to be among the best.

I was hoping to see a flashback to the 'Pretty Girl' style, but no luck there. Wa was a little bit upbeat, and the dancing in the background was pretty hilarious, but unfortunately the other two songs were both slow and sad, a style KARA may explore in the future? They've already proven they're up to it. Either way, the performances were great. Check them out below:

Our Popular Girl Group Has Won!

As said, they came back STRONG and that paid off. Winning on August 30 and KARA came out victorious last Sunday, on SBS's Inkigayo. All the members were emotional and crying when they accepted their Mutizen Award.

KARA to Make a Cameo on MBC’s “Hero”

Although many will be disappointed when "Heading to the Ground" ends next month, it looks like MBC is continuing its idol line-up - though TVXQ's Yunho will be exiting the big screen, the new drama "Hero" is set to feature the ladies of KARA in its first episode!

Last Friday (October 9), it was announced that this quintet of cuties would make a cameo in the first episode as the stars of a mini-concert at which the leads of the drama, Lee Junki (a reporter) and Kim Min Jung (a police detective), will first meet.

“It’s an honor for us to start off this drama together with Lee Junki and Kim Min-jung, who are actors we have always liked," the members of KARA expressed. "We’re already excited just thinking about filming, and are really looking forward to it. It feels exciting to be able to show a different side of KARA in the drama.”

With names like Lee Junki, Kim Min Jung and now KARA, this is shaping up to be a solid & highly anticipated drama. Indeed, "Hero" was licensed for a Japanese broadcast nearly a year ago, way before its license for Korea. As one source explained on Friday, such licensing is not finalized until 2-4 episodes have aired due to economic considerations and other factors. “However, in Hero’s case, recognition of the solid synopsis and lead actor Lee Junki has led to an unusual circumstance of an early sale at a high price.”

Keep an eye out for the first broadcast of "Hero" on November 18 on MBC.

4Tomorrow releases “Tomorrow” Group and Individual Music Videos

What do you get when you combine the mascots of popular girl groups KARA, Brown Eyed Girls, 4minute and After School? Why, 4Tomorrow, of course!

As you may have known already, Han Seung Yeon, Ga-In, Hyuna and UEE joined forces together for a special project group, which includes a song and MV of the digital single, "Tumor Row" "Tomorrow". While the former was released not too long ago, the latter became available for the public's viewing only recently.

Instead of a specific plot throughout the video, the setting is fixed on one location, which appears to be a small concert. The girls put on a show for the audience in attendance as they perform their choreography on stage and dance on top of tables. Near the end of the video, actor Lee Dong Gun pulls up in a suspicious-looking vehicle and admires the girls on stage from afar. If I didn't know any better, I'd think he was a creepy stalker, especially with his Snape-like hair.
