uhm...just to share what about the assuming and expecting goes on...
last night i got a text message from my friend...it's a quote saying that expecting does not hurt us..but assuming does...

i just replied that what is the difference between assuming and expecting...why does she say that assuming hurts us than expecting while in fact, i think, expecting comes after assuming...and vice versa. Here is my point..i think that expecting does much hurt us rather than assuming...why?..you can assume without expecting that person to do a next step...its all in the mind...while expecting, you wanted more and REALLY expect something to happen..right?...

so here is it...what do you think much more hurt us in a situation?assuming or expecting?....

share you opinions please...thanks...

This is confusing... it took me a while to fully understand what you were trying to say. But you make a good point; in my opinion, expecting is worse than assuming.

Expectation has a lesser impact because we are only expecting, instead of being so sure about something. Actually you can google this and you'll be surprised by all the different views.

I'd love it if someone would dumb this down a little for me. My tiny mind cannot comprehend it.

haha..ok,here is it...the question was what hurts most in a situation,to assume or to expect?....for me it is expecting because expecting someone even though you know he/she might not do what you want brings so much disappointment...rather than assuming that you only assume to have a better chapter in that situation but you dont expect if he/she will do it...^_^

Oh, I get it now. Thank you. (:

I definitely have to agree with you on that one, to be honest. Expecting is worse and the outcomes can be more hurtful.

I'm okay with both of them. It doesn't really matter.

i think i just read something related to this last time, and i think i read the same message as yours..

i think both hurts. however, it all depends on what and the level you are assuming or expecting. really hard.

i always assume things. 0.o

Expecting is easier than Assuming, since it doesnt really matter if you're right or wrong.
