depends on the genre and adding if its paid or not
This is not based on my top favorites or in number sequenced.

my opinion that good ones paid:
1. World of Warcraft
2. Eve online
3. Rose online(cool with the robot and the car)
4. Everquest 2
5. Ragnarök Online(paid or free servers)

Free mmorpg or beta:
1 Asda story(latest I'm playing)(still new)
2. Grando Espada ( Its such a big file)( playing 3 characters at once)
3. Fly for fun(The broom which is ride )

mmorpg that last for a little while but is good:
1. Lunia(2d story game)

theres a bit more, but I cant seem to remember them at the moment.

drifting into the abyss of free mmorpg games.

If you have a lot of time on your hands and have time to play a game for long hours which literally consumes your life. . . .FFXI is the game for you.

But if you don't, there are many MMORPG which doesn't take time to accomplish something in the game.

Every MMORPG these days basically uses the same fighting style; where you just press the numbers on the keyboard to the special moves. You repeatedly press on those number keys until the mob dies or something. It gets very boring.

Most of the MMORPG games can be solo. Just you and yourself all day killing mobs to level up and get some new gears. Yeah, you can find a party to level up with, but you don't kill the same mob because you can kill one on your own which just...doesn't make sense. So you go and kill your own mob and the party suddenly disbands and you're left alone...but you don't care cause you can solo. You just party to get some kind of xp boost or something but thats about it.

Those games don't take effort at all... very easy games. Kids love to play easy games, that is why most MMORPG are run by kids which leads to unstable community and then pretty much a stupid game. Since people loves to PvP a lot, most games are base on the PvP battle system, which I don't even care about because I think it's boring and trying to see who is tougher is pointless. In the end, it's all about PvE.

*Yeah I'm whining because MMORPG games made these days are boring and repetitive.

But FFXI is very different. Although it lacks in some areas like PvP and *SHINING SWORDS & SHIELDS*!, It's so far one of the best MMORPG I've played. I don't like to PvP so it doesn't hurt me. And in my opinion, shining weapons make the game look messy.

FFXI probably has the BEST community of all the MMORPG. You literally have to party to level up which is a good thing. You get to know people and actually have someone to talk to. FFXI is all about helping each other, you won't get anywhere without friends. You can level Beastmaster which can solo, but thats 1/20 jobs. It also has a great PvE system. FFXI doesn't have the repetitive fighting style like others, it has a cool box with options to choose from. You can use macros too and the style FFXI uses for macros are just way cooler.

FFXI is a great game to play. Takes a lot of time, but making friends is probably the best part of the game. Yet, this post is just what I think of MMORPG. ****Just test out any and many MMORPG and see what suits you best.**** I've played many other online games but I just keep coming back to FFXI.

Ok, I assume one don't want to pay2play
so here r the easiest to get into and play I've found:

Mo siang - nice select of skills, tasks and weapons, manga looking chars
Scion of Fate - chibi char, very clean graphics
Asda - Kingdom hearts lookalike, tons of costumes

If U like ur character less chibi -ish try:
2Moon- beautiful graphics, BLOOD!!
R F online - Sci-Fi, cool choice of being magic user, mech or inbetween) they have BIg GUNS
9dragons - focused on martial arts(very detailed, but time consuming )
