(The reasons for everything in the ratings are explained in the review section at the end of the article)

* Visuals: Like most Pony Canyon enterprises' animes.. beautiful.
* Music: Descent
* Plot: In some ways good in other ways blatantly rushed and absurd
* Overall Rating: 5.9/10( a bit above average and worth watching)

* Company: The 5pb/Dogakobo/Myself; Yourself Production Committee/Marvelous Entertainment/Pony Canyon Enterprises/Happinet Pictures

* Genre: Drama/Romance (at some points comedy)

* Format: 13 episodes

* Dates: 3 Oct 2007 – 26 Dec 2007

* Synopsis: It’s been five years since Hidaka Sana left his home town and his close friends behind, but now he is finally coming back. While many things in the town have changed, his friends, while now grown up, are largely as he remembered them, and all welcome Sana back warmly… all except Yatsushiro Nanaka, that is, who greets him with an angry slap to the face. Sana has no idea what he did to leave Nanaka so annoyed at him.

* Review:

This was obviously an anime in attempt to be different/original... The anime itself felt extremely rushed since the creators were trying to fit an extremely or atleast "attempted extremely" (which sometimes resulted in an absurd) complicated plot into 13 episodes. In the end what we get are some interesting conflicts which develop from some original (Yet sometimes imbecilic) plot twists throughout 12 and a half episodes to which the resolutions are utterly skipped in order to give a blattantly, unexplained, rushed ending. In other words the solutions to many of the conflicts aren't thoroughly or even at all given. Some of the conflicts are quite genuine but the ending basically skips how the characters dealed with them by transporting the anime ten years into the future at the end of episode 13 and telling us how the characters ended up.

But now that I've expressed my complaints towards this anime I will also mention some attributes about it which make it atleast worth watching. While the ending is rushed and causes the conflicts' after stories and resolutions to not be properly, or in cases, at all explained it is not exactly a bad ending. The ending itself is very satisfying and brings a descent close to the anime. It just isn't quite explained how we got to that satisfying ending. The stories plot was at a few points absurd but at some points it was intriguing and had strong moments. Most of the characters have to go through strong/emotional moments and are intensely developed throughout the anime. We discover what's underneath alot of what we think are the character's characters. We are shown that there's alot more to some characters than we think there is since people are complex life forms and that's what I really liked about this anime. Not to mention the beautiful graphics and visuals we are so used to getting from Pony Canyon animes. Another point worth mentioning is the romance between the main two characters (Nanaka and Sana). I found it to be a romantic and in some ways original romance. It wasn't the typical romance and while some people think it felt forced I thought it was enchanting and demonstrated what being there for someone really means.

The story itself had alot of potential and the anime didn't produce a terrible result... But with this solid story and the strong moments which were present, this anime could've been "MASTERFUL" had they extended it a few more episodes and not rushed. How the characters dealed with and resolved the conflicts/plot twists could've therefore been explained and this anime could've been a true work of art. Unfortunately it didn't live up to its true potential but it's worth the watch.
