I wrote this story a while ago in livejournal. I decided it to post it here (: There will be 10 chapters + epilogue. The first couple chapters will be really short but I hope all of you guys will enjoy reading it as I enjoyed writing it!
It was a beautiful Saturday morning, the birds were chirping outside, it was a sunny day. A young boy was quietly snoring, looking comfortable in his bed. He slowly awakened, it was still quite early. He got out of bed and did his daily routines, like any other day. He had the responsibility of waking up his housemate/band mate, since he woke up before him.
Hi! I'm Daiki Arioka. I'm your typical 17 year old boy, there isn't much to expect. Well..except that I work for Johnny's Entertainment, I'm a member of the young boy band Hey! Say! Jump. There's 10 of us in the gro-- hold on a second. I have to go wake up my housemate.
“Ryosuke Yamada! Wake up! “ Daiki yelled into Ryosuke's ears.
“Let me sleep.” Ryosuke retorted, and he pulled his blanket over his head.
“If you don’t wake up then I will eat all your strawberries.” Daiki simply replied.
“AhhhWHAT?” Ryosuke quickly leaped out of bed and ran downstairs to the kitchen to see if his precious strawberries were still there.
Ah! I knew that would work. It works everyday! Okay so as I was saying before, I have 9 other band mates. One of them is Ryosuke Yamada, 15, a strawberry and animal lover. Our house has 9 pets and all of them are his. Chinen Yuuri, 15, a member that can do really cool things like acrobatics. Ryutaro Morimoto, 13, youngest member, loves playing on his ds and watching dvds. He has really good fashion for a 13 year old. Yuto Nakajima, 15, a caring and kind person. He's an insect lover. Takaki Yuya, 18, he cares a lot about his hair, but he's really cool. Keito Okamoto, 15, he came back from England not too long ago. Keito's really fluent in English, he’s my translator. Inoo Kei, 18,a pianist and really smart. He got into Meiji University. Yabu Kota, 19, oldest member. He’s just like my older brother. Yabu is the unofficial leader of Hey! Say! Jump. He cares about everyone. Hikaru Yaotome, 18, the joker of Hey! Say! Jump. He cheers up everyone.
“Moshi Moshi” Daiki spoke into his cell phone.
“Hello Daiki, this is your sister Reiko Arioka said the female voice.
“Yeah… what?” Daiki questioned.
“I’m going to move into your house next week” replied the girl.
“Wait… YOUR WHAT!?"?Daiki yelled out.
“Oh by the way, I have news for you! You're going to be coming to the airport with me, to pick up my sister.” Daiki said while paying the cashier.
“Ugh… why am I suddenly your servant? I have to do everything you say.” Ryosuke asked, in utter disbelief.
Daiki simply smiled and handed Ryosuke one of the boxes of strawberries. With this Ryosuke stopped all his ranting, and just stared at the box, imagining all the things he could make with this box of delicious strawberries.
"Don't eat them right now! Wait until later okay?" Warned Daiki.
"Aw man. I can't even have my precious to myself." whined Ryosuke.
So we made our way to the airport, it was 2:55. My sister's flight was to come at 3:00. Ryosuke and I waited at the spot that passengers were supposed to come from. It was 3:00, and the passengers started coming out. I jumped up and down in the crowd, I couldn't see her. Soon the passengers vanished, they had all come out. Had I lost my sister? What would she do in here! I was quite worried, she didn't know too well about the airport. How about if she didn't make it on the flight? Oh no.. what to do?
"AHH. What's taking your sister so long Daiki? Is she a tubby one? I could be sleeping right now you know. But you just HAD to drag me along with you. Look, all the passengers are gone. Maybe she's not even coming." Ryosuke complained.
"No! I think she's lost Ryosuke. I didn't see her come out through that door! I think we should run around the airport and look for her! I'm worried."
"Oh my god. You and your unorganized ways. Fine. How will I find her? Do you have a picture?"
"I don't have one on me..OH! She told me what she'll be wearing. Not exact clothing, but look for somebody with black hair--"
"And fair skin, and is a girl? What kind of description is this Daiki? I need better descriptions! Anybody in here can be your sister!"
"Sorry, my brain is all fumbled. Okay, she's wearing purple and black. And she'll be wearing a white bag, and black high heels." explained Daiki, in the best details he could remember.
"Okay, got it!"?
So the boys went in different directions, in search of Daiki's sister. Ryosuke was quite depressed, he was really tired, and this was just taking up more of his time. Daiki had a sweatdrop fall from his forehead, he was extrememly worried. His sister didn't know anything about the airport, at all. What would she do if she was lost? After a while of searching, Ryosuke got a bit worried too. It was his bestfriend's sister, how about if she really was lost? He started to hurry, searching everywhere in the airport. In his rush, he crashed head to head with somebody and fell to the floor, knocking the other down as well.
"Ouch! Watch wear you're go-- wow." A million thoughts flowed through Ryosuke's head. There was a beautiful girl infront of him, rubbing her head, which he'd just crashed into.
"You watch where you're going stupid! I'm already stressed, now my head hurts even more. Stupid stupid." exclaimed the girl.
Ryosuke got up and gave the girl a hand. She glared at him and got up on her own. Ryosuke simply smiled and shrugged.
"You're cute when you're mad." he said.
"I know." replied the girl.
"I'm Yamada Ryosuke, and you are?"
"RYOSUKE! YOU FOUND HER! THANK GOODNESS!"
The two jerked their heads to the direction of the voice.
"DAIKI!" She ran over to Daiki and gave him a big hug.
"I thought you lost yourself!" Daiki hugged her back, he looked so relieved.
Ryosuke stood there shocked. He looked at the girl again, she was in a purple dress, with a black coat on top. She wore black leggings underneath, and black high heels. In her hand she was holding a white bag. It was Daiki's sister. Ryosuke shook his head back and forth. He'd just told Daiki's sister that she was cute. Now she'd be in his house. Oh no, the disasters to come.
"Reiko Arioka meet Ryosuke, my bestfriend."
"You have? When? Ryosuke you didn't tell me you knew my sister!"
"Haha, no Daiki. He just introduced himself now. I’m Reiko Arioka. It's nice to meet you."
"Haha." Ryosuke laughed nervously.
Afer sitting in the car for what seemed like hours, the three finally arrived at a decent looking house. They stepped out of the taxi, one after the other.
"Yo Ryosuke! Help me get Reiko's stuff out of the trunk will you?" Daiki yelled out from the trunk while trying to get Reiko's luggage out.
"Do you have to ask. Ugh .... why does she have so much luggage?" Ryosuke looked in disbelief.
"Shut up" Daiki said.
As they walked into the house, Reiko's mouth dropped in shock. The plain house that she had just seen outside, was incredibly beautiful on the inside. She turned around in a circle, admiring it. There was a long elegant staircase on the left, and there was an open view of the sea on the right.
"Wow! It's gorgeous. So, where's my room?" exclaimed Reiko.
"Ofcourse it is. Your room is upstairs, Ryosuke would you like to show her the way?" Daiki shifted his direction to Ryosuke.
" -sigh- Sure, why not?"
Ryosuke held his arms out for the luggage. Daiki dropped the whole load into Ryosuke's hands, and he fell down.
"What do you have in here? It's so heavy!" Ryosuke yelped.
"Things." Reiko giggled.
Ryosuke groaned and slowly walked up the stairs, with Reiko close behind, who was commenting on everything she saw. She kept talking throughout the whole way upstairs, and the walk was long, since Reiko didn't offer to help with HER bags.
"Hey Reiko, why don't you help me with your bags?"
"Nah, that's for men to do. I shouldn't be carrying anything. Besides, I'm the guest."
"Oh my god."
After what felt like forever, they finally arrived at the room. Reiko excitedly opened the door. Her mouth made a big 'O' shape, not in shock but in disgust.
"Oops. I guess I didn't clean it too well. Hahaha."
"EWWWW. THIS IS SO GROSS."
"Hey, you're stealing my room. Maybe you should clean it for yourself."
"Ew ew ew. I'm calling my broth-"
"NO! I'll clean it god, you're such a pain."
"Hehe.....hey. I smell my favourite fruit...strawberries."
"What!? Strawberries are my favourite fruit, pick another one."
"There's nothing that says they're your favourite fruit and I can't like them is there, no didn't think so."
"Yes there is. Look at that."
He pointed to what looked like a poster on his wall. The poster had a big strawberry that said "Ryosuke's property food, don't touch."
"That doesn't count as anything. Even if you do find proof, I don't care. I will still love strawberries the best."
"UGH! You're going to ruin my life."
"No, we can be friends."
"In your dreams."
With that, he walked into his room and began cleaning, with Reiko standing at the door. A couple of minutes later Daiki came upstairs.
"Reiko, what are you doing outside?"
"Your friend is cleaning up his room for me."
"Ryosuke! I thought I told you to clean up before!"
"You told me to do a lot of things Daiki, I'm not a machine."
"Sorry. I made you do a lot of work. Hey Reiko, since you're just waiting here, why don't you go and eat strawberries?"
"Haha, that's what Ryosuke and me were arguing about, but okay!"
She smirked at Ryosuke and quickly hurried down the stairs. He got frustrated and started throwing his things faster into boxes. When Daiki turned around, Ryosuke dashed for the door. But he noticed that he was running in the same spot, turning to realise that Daiki was holding on to his shirt. "You aren't going anywhere until you clean up this mess Ryosuke."
"That's not fair! She gets to eat strawberries. This is torture I tell you, TORTURE!"
He slouched and went back to cleaning. The scent of strawberries was coming up the stairs, and Ryosuke's stomach started grumbling. Reiko showed up at the doorway, with a box of strawberries in her hands. Ryosuke thought that she was going to give some to him, so he smiled to himself and started working faster. However, when he glanced at her 5 minutes later, the box was empty. She was grinning at him, her evil eyes twinkling with glee. Ryosuke began mumbling a lot of innapropriate words under his breath, nobody could hear him. Reiko was really going to get it soon, nobody was allowed to eat strawberries infront of Ryosuke like that, without sharing.
When it was finally time to sleep, Ryosuke was running to his room, yelling "STRAWBERRY CANDIES" all the way there. He opened the door and jolted inside, suddenly stopping. He stared at the empty table that he had left his strawberry candies on. Then his ears turned red. Reiko had stolen them.
“WHY ARE YOU SCREAMING IN MY ROOM?” shouted Reiko
“YOU ATE MY STRAWBERRY CANDIESSS!!!!!!!!” Ryosuke shouted back.
“Your strawberry candies? My brother bought them for me..” Reiko replied, kind of annoyed.
“ARE YOU STUPID? THOSE WERE MY CANDIES I TELL YOU MINE!” Ryosuke screamed.
Daiki was sleeping in his room, then he heard the sudden screaming and woke up. The voices sounded familiar to him, but he was still only half awake. When everything came into focus, he realized it was Reiko and Ryosuke's voices. They were coming from Ryosuke's room, which was now Reiko's room. He shifted his head towards his clock, 2am. What on earth are they still doing up? They should be sleeping. The shouting was getting louder and louder, and Daiki rushed out of his bed and ran towards the room.
“Why are you guys shouting? It's TWO AM. GO TO SLEEP. STOP ARGUING, PEOPLE IN THIS NEIGHBOURHOOD NEED THEIR REST YOU KNOW." Daiki yelled, trying to make the two stop fighting.
“He said I ate all his strawberry candies, but they weren't even his. They were from you." Reiko told him.
“IT WAS MY CANDY, NOT YOURS.” Ryosuke shouted at her.
“Wait… Reiko, I never gave you any candies..” Daiki replied, kind of confused.
“The candy that was on the desk, it had a note on it saying 'Enjoy' with a smiley face on it.” Reiko explained.
“I meant 'Enjoy your stay with us' ” Daiki said.
Ryosuke was mad now, no he was in rage. It was a misunderstanding between those two, but his strawberry candy was gone, it would never come back. He only ate one a week, and now ALL OF IT WAS GONE. He got those candies when he went on a trip to Hawaii with Yuto Nakajima, his old best friend. Ryosuke slowly slipped out into the hall, then quietly walked down the stairs. He walked into the kitchen and flung open the refrigerator. He rummaged through the food, and managed to pull out a box of strawberries all for himself.
On the second floor, Daiki and Reiko were talking to each other as they did not notice Ryosuke had left. After about twenty minutes of talking, the siblings realized it was getting pretty late.
“Ryosuke, come on. Let’s go back to my room” Daiki said as he turned around.
“HUH? WHERE IS HE”? Daiki shouted.
“I think he went downstairs to watch TV or something.” Reiko replied, not really having any care.
“Okay then, I will be heading back to my room to sleep.” Daiki said.
As the two went back to bed, Ryosuke on the other hand, was making his way out of the house. He couldn't stand that HIS precious strawberry candies were all gone. He stood outside the house, thinking of a place to go for the night. He couldn’t go to Yuto’s house, his family would all be sleeping right now. If he went to Yabu or Hikaru's house, they would send him back immediately, telling him that he was being foolish. He thought outloud to himself "am I being foolish?" Then he shook his head in frustration. Ofcourse he wasn't being foolish, he was doing the right thing. After crossing out the members in his head, he had one last choice left, Chi. He remembered Chi's words, saying that if he ever needed him, just call.
Ryosuke dialed Chi number.
“Hello?” Ryosuke heard a sleepy Chi.
“This is Yamachan, can I come over to your house right now?” Ryosuke asked.
“It’s 2:45am….Yamachan” Chii replied, yawning.”
“Will you like to come downstairs and open the door Chi?” Ryosuke asked politely.
As Chii heard that, he ran downstairs and he saw Yamachan at the door.
“Hey Yamachan!” Chii said as he let Ryosuke in the house.
“Sorry, I hope I didn’t wake you up or anything… well I guess I probably did since it’s so late, but can you let me stay at your house for a while? Please?” Ryosuke asked.
“Huh? What’s wrong, I thought you lived with Daiki?” Chii asked confused.
So then Ryosuke told Chii the whole story because if he didn't say anything, Chii would have bugged him until he spilled the truth.
“So she ate ALL the strawberry candies that you wouldn’t even let ME have?” Chii asked in amazement.
“YEAH AND I GOT THEM FROM HAWAII!” Ryosuke shouted in anger.
Ryosuke and Chinen talked all night, they didn't even realize they pulled an all nighter.
Now over at the Arioka family
Reiko couldn’t sleep well the other night, she felt bad for eating all of Ryosuke's candy, but whatever right? They're just candies, he can buy new ones any time he wants. But Reiko didn't understand that these candies were the best brand in Hawaii, and it would take forever to go buy them again. There was the sound of shuffling feet around the house, and Reiko slowly awoke. Her door flew open, and the expression of her brother's face was the greatest look of concern that she'd ever seen in her life.
“Daiki! Why do you like so worried?” Reiko asked confused.
“HAVE YOU SEEN RYOSUKE?” Daiki asked.
“No… I haven’t. Why, what’s wrong with him?” Reiko asked.
“I CAN’T FIND HIM ANYWHERE!” Daiki shouted.
“Why don’t you try calling him then?” Reiko asked, she wasn't very concerned. Besides, Ryosuke didn't mean anything to her.
“I DID BUT NOBODY PICKED UP!” Daiki was getting even more worried now.
“What about his friends, he has friends right?” Reiko was not the least bit concerned in this situation.
Daiki quickly called all the members. When he got a hang of Chii, Chii said that Ryosuke hadn't come over to his place. Ryosuke told him not to tell Daiki that he was over at his place.
Daiki was seriously worried now, they don’t even have work today since it’s Friday, and they don’t have work this weekend either. So he had no way of contacting Ryosuke until Monday.
The weekend is almost over but there are still no signs of Ryosuke. Where is he? My sister does not care where he is, but he’s a very important friend of mine and I hope he’s safe. I looked everywhere for him but I still can’t find him. I even went to his favourite strawberry café to see if he was there. All I can hope for is for him to come back home.
“DAIKI!!!” Reiko yelled.
“Huh? What?” Daiki confused.
“I called you about 2156456 times already!” Reiko said.
Reiko continued on,” So where’s your friend…?”
“I don’t know…I really don’t know.” Daiki said as he wandered around the house.
Reiko stood there wondering where Ryosuke could have ran off to. He was causing Daiki a whole lot of un-needed stress. She had to find him fast. What would happen if the next news that she heard of him was that he committed suicide? What kind of person runs away from home because his strawberry candies are gone? But Reiko did find him rather good looking, however his childish anger got her annoyed.
So the day has finally come, it’s Monday, yes I finally get to see Ryosuke!
Daiki was about to run out of the house but….
“Daiki! Where are you going so early in the morning?” Reiko asked.
“I’m going to work and find Ryosuke!” Daiki said urgently.
“…What work?” Reiko asked.
“Remember when I told you I was in this band that’s sort of famous called Hey! Say! Jump?” Daiki said.
“Psh, I bet you guys aren’t even popular.” Reiko was full of herself.
Daiki just ran out of the house towards work. He picked up his pace, the faster he ran the quicker he could see Ryosuke. Ryosuke didn't have a family in Japan, so he was basically a brother to him. He finally arrived, his shirt was soaked in sweat. When he walked into the practice room, he realized that he was an hour early.
-Ryosuke and Chi-
“Chii.. should I go? I don’t know.” Ryosuke asked in confusion.
“Yeah, just go or else Dai-chan will be really worried if he doesn’t see you today…He sent me so many text messages and calls this weekend!” Chii said.
“Sorry for troubling you, truly sorry.” Ryosuke felt bad.
“So will you be going?” Chii asked.
“Uh…I guess.” Ryosuke said.
Chii felt bad for lying to Ryosuke. Daiki had only called him five times and text messaged him five times as well. But Chi really wanted Daiki and Ryosuke to be friends again. But then the thought occured to him that they probably still were friends, except that Daiki's sister got in the way of their relationship.
So as Ryosuke and Chii made their first step in the practice room…Daiki attacked Ryosuke.
“RYOSUKE!!!!! RYOSUKE!!! WHERE WERE YOUUUUUUU?” Daiki shouted at the top of his lungs.
“I hung out with Chii the whole weekend.” Ryosuke said calmly.
“WHAT? YOU WERE WITH CHII?? YOU COULD’VE CALLED ME OR SOMETHING! WHEN I CALLED CHI HE SAID YOU WEREN'T WITH HIM!” Daiki was even louder now.
“Well I told him not to tell you, I had to think over things. By the way, I might move out soon.” Ryosuke said.
“ARE YOU BEING THAT CHILDISH? IT WAS JUST YOUR STRAWBERRY CANDY!” Daiki retorted.
“JUST my strawberry candy? DO YOU KNOW HOW PRECIOUS THEY WERE TO ME DAIKI!? Anyway, it will be better for you and your sister, you guys would have more time together. You don’t even care about me anyways. I'd rather not be an interference.” Ryosuke said.
“I DON’T CARE ABOUT YOU? YOU THINK I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU RYOSUKE?" Daiki shouted.
“He kept on calling me, asking if I knew where you were. He was really worried about you Yamachan.” Yuto interrupted.
Yabu, who was on the other side of the practice room, heard a lot of shouting and he noticed that Daiki and Ryosuke were the centre of attention, he thought that since he's the unofficial leader, he should stop this.
“You know Yamada, Daiki kept on calling everyone to see if they knew where you were, and if you were safe or not. You can’t say he doesn’t care about you. You should’ve at least told him where you were. Chii, you should’ve told Daiki instead of listening to Yamada. and not listen to Yamada." Yabu lectured.
“DAIKI THIS, DAIKI THAT!” Ryosuke shouted as he ran off to the rooftop.
Ryosuke was incredibly mad now, how come nobody ever thought of his feelings? They were always on Daiki’s side. Although Yuto and Yabu were the only ones that said anything. But when Yabu says anything.. everybody else agrees with him. After sitting on the rooftop for a while, he calmed down. He heard foot steps….it was Daiki. He didn't want to fight with Daiki anymore, it was ruining their relationship.
“Hey Ryosuke… I just wanted to say sorry for yelling at you back there. And for not being considerate about your candy. And all the other bad things that I did to cause your anger. Can you please not move out?" Daiki asked, he had tears in his eyes.
“I forgive you. But I don't think I will be staying in the house." Ryosuke said.
“WHY NOT?” Daiki complained.
“It'll just end up like a couple of days ago, and then I will move to Chi's house or something.” Ryosuke said walking back to the practice room.
Throughout the whole practice Daiki was depressed. When practice was over, he wasn't feeling any better. As Daiki and Ryosuke were walking together back to “their” house, it was completely silent. Ryosuke looked over at Daiki, he couldn’t see anything but a frown plastered across his face. He wasn't going to change his mind on things and agree to staying in the house. Especially if Reiko was going to be sticking around. As they arrived home, Reiko ran downstairs hoping to see a happy Daiki with Ryosuke, but all she saw was a depressed Daiki with Ryosuke.
“Daiki!! What’s wrong? You found Ryosuke, didn’t you?” Reiko asked. She didn't greet Ryosuke with a welcome back or anything.
Ryosuke ignored the two and went to his room to pack his things.
“He's moving out…” Daiki said while walking to the kitchen.
Reiko couldn’t stand this, she thought her brother would be happy that Ryosuke was back. But now he looked worse than he had all weekend. So she ran upstairs, trying to think of a way to make Ryosuke stay. She ran towards the room that Ryosuke was packing his things, and flung the door open.
“I know I know, this is your room. But after I’m done packing my things I will be gone, it's okay.” Ryosuke said.
“Why won’t you stay? Do you know how sad your making my brother? I’ve never seen him like this before!” Reiko said.
“Why are you being so selfish? Only caring about your brother. I have my own reasons for why I don't want to stay. Actually, you should be excited that I'm leaving. I won't be of any annoyance to you anymore." Ryosuke replied.
Reiko didn't pay any attention to what Ryosuke was saying, she was just staring at his lips the whole time. They were so kissable. She leaned in closer and closer to him, until their lips met. Seconds passed and soon minutes, Ryosuke finally realized what he was doing…he was kissing her back. He pushed her away.
“What did you do that for!?” Ryosuke asked in shock.
“I felt like it, do you have a problem with that? Besides, you kissed me back.” Reiko said smiling.
“Whatever, I’m leaving.” Ryosuke said as he made his way to the door.
“Wait, don’t leave! Let’s have a competition. If I win you have to stay, and if I lose then you can do whatever you want.” Reiko said.
“On what?” Ryosuke asked, he didn’t want to reject this offer. He loved competition.
“Basketball. I haven’t played that for so long." Reiko said.
“Okay fine, meet me at the basket-ball court tomorrow at 3pm sharp, if you're late then that means its an automatic win for me.” Ryosuke said.
It’s 3am and I’m still awake…. In about 12 hours from now, Reiko and Ryosuke will have their basket-ball match. I don’t know if I should be happy or not since Reiko is really good at basket-ball but I haven’t seen her play since she left to Canada to study. Ryosuke is good at basket-ball too just that he’s better in soccer. If Reiko wins, then Ryosuke will get to stay and continue living with us but Ryosuke is really competitive and hates losing, so losing to a girl might make him really disappointed. Who will I be cheering for? My sister or my best friend that I treat as a brother?
As the day slowly pass, it’s an hour till their basket-ball match, Ryosuke is already in his jersey and shorts while Reiko is out shopping. Why would she still be shopping at a time like this?
Half an hour later, Reiko finally came home with tons of shopping bags. Oh boy, she has fully changed after coming back from Canada. I wonder what those Canadians girl do with her. The day she left Japan to go to Canada, she was fully a tomboy, she would be wearing shorts and jerseys all the time but now what does she wear? All she wear is tank top, shorts or really feminine clothes and high heels. Now there’s 15minutes till the match.
“How are you going to play with high heels on….? I’m so going to win this way” Ryosuke chuckled???
“Who said I will be playing with these on? I won’t let you win” Reiko said determinedly. As she said that she went upstairs to changed. 10minutes later, she came downstairs with her hair tied, her jersey and shorts and basketball shoes.
Whoaa she looks like those hot girls I see on TV playing sports, No, I can’t have these thoughts, I must win Ryosuke thought. “Come on hurry up, let’s head to the court”
-at the basket ball court-
Ready,Set,Go. As Daiki blew the whistle, he threw the ball up high to the sky. Ryosuke was a bit taller then Reiko, so he had the advantage and got the jump ball.
5 minutes in the game and the score was still 0 vs 0. Both of them are very competitive and can’t get through each other.
Daiki on the sideline with the rest of Hey! Say! Jump. Except he’s the only one that’s worrying about who’s going to win. Some members are cheering while the others are just chatting away not bothering about the game since it’s been like that for a while. Until…..
Reiko started to do some tricks and then she did a slam dunk.
“WHOAA SHE JUST DID A SLAM DUNK” Inoo shouted.
“A WHAT?” Ryutaro asked
“A slam dunk” Inoo said.
As Inoo continued explaining to Ryutaro about Reiko’s slam dunk, both Daiki and Ryosuke were amazed.
Whoa, when she went away she couldn’t do a slam dunk and now she could wow amazing. That’s my sister.
“WOOT GO REIKO!” Daiki cheered
Aww man not even Daiki is cheering for Reiko. I must try harder, I cant let her win. Ryosuke thought. As he said that, he ran fast part Reiko and did a slam dunk too. The score is now 2-2
The game been going on for an hour or now, the score is now 6-8, Reiko in the lead with two points. They were both very tired, but both had the energy to defeat each other. Once in a while, they will say mean things to each other.
“You know, that I am going to beat you” Ryosuke said.
“No you're not.” Reiko replied as she was trying to snatch the ball from Ryosuke.
“OMG! YOU BROKE MY NAIL!” Reiko yelped.
With that as an excuse, Ryosuke quickly ran down the court and took a shot. Reiko was still looking at her nail. The score was 8-8 now. One more shot until the winner is decided.
Ryosuke had the ball as he was running down the court with Reiko defending him, his foot got caught in front of hers, Reiko took a step back and BOOM she was on the floor.
“FOUL FOUL!” Inoo shouted.
“That was so not a foul!” Ryosuke shouted back.
Inoo ran to the court and gave a hand to Reiko while saying "It was so a foul.”
“Okay fine, whatever.” Ryosuke said, not even looking at Reiko to see if she was okay.
But when Ryosuke saw Reiko touching Inoo's hand, his heart started to ache. Why is my heart aching just because their hands are touching?
“Thanks.” Reiko smiled at Inoo, and he returned the smile.
Reiko was heading down to the net, to do her foul shot. If she got this in, then she'd win the game.
Uh oh…it was a foul and Reiko was going to make her shot. Would the shot go in? Daiki dropped a sweat. -Swoosh- Daiki was frozen on the spot.
“Daiki! Daiki! Your sister won!” Yuto was shaking Daiki for two whole minutes.
Nothing happened, another five minutes passed and basically the whole group of Hey! Say! Jump members, except for Ryosuke, were shaking Daiki.
As Daiki snapped back to reality, he saw the back of Ryosuke walking slowly, with his head down, back to their house. Daiki turned sad seeing Ryosuke like that, seeing that Ryosuke didn't even want to live with him anymore. But what Daiki didn’t know was that, Ryosuke was secretly glad that Reiko won. Who knows what Reiko will do with Daiki? What if she turns him into her?!
A week passed since the basket-ball match, and everybody Ryosuke and Reiko would have arguements, and Daiki would try to break them up. One day, as Daiki was trying to find a way for them to stop fighting, the house phone rang.
“Hello.” a female's voice came from the other end of the phone.
“Hey…who’s this?” Daiki asked since he did not recognize the caller id.
“OHHH sorry, I forgot to tell you who I am. I’m Michiko and I’m a friend of Reiko. I will be coming to Canada three days from now. Since I want to celebrate Reiko's birthday with her.” Michiko explained.
“OH CRAP, REIKO'S BIRTHDAY!” Daiki shouted, good thing he was the only one home.
“Wait.. so you forgot about your own sister's birthday?” Michiko asked, startled by the sudden excitement.
“What? You can’t blame me for it, I haven’t celebrated her birthday with her for so long.” Daiki explained.
"Oh, that's right. Sorry. Well, when I come to Canada, I will help you plan a surprise party okay?"
"Hey! That's a fantastic idea, thanks!"
"No problem, anything for Reiko."
"Okay, I think she's coming, I'll tell her you called. Bye!"
"Okay! Nice talking to you ...Reiko's brother."
“Good Morning!” Reiko said as she walked in the room.
“Hey Reiko! First day of school huh?” Daiki asked, trying to sound normal.
“Yeahh yeah…how do I get there…?”
“Don’t worry, Ryosuke will bring you there!” Daiki said as Ryosuke was coming down the stairs. Ryosuke heard this and became alert.
“HUH? WHAT? SHE’S COMING TO MY SCHOOL?” Ryosuke yelped.
“WHAT? HE’S GOING TO THE SAME SCHOOL AS ME!?” Reiko screamed.
“YEAH YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO BE IN THE SAME SCHOOL, WON’T THAT BE GREAT?” Daiki yelled back at them.
As Ryosuke heard that he pushed Reiko against the wall.
“HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?” both Reiko and Daiki shouted.
Ryosuke leaned in closer and Reiko and Daiki both got scared.
“Don’t tell anyone, I repeat, ANYONE, that I am Yamada Ryosuke at school.” Ryosuke warned.
“Why not?” Reiko was confused.
“JUST DON’T!” Daiki shouted with Ryosuke when he realized what he was talking about.
Reiko was standing outside her classroom, waiting for her sensei to give her the heads up to enter.
“Class, today we will be having a new student.” Sato Sensei said.
The class broke into whispers, except for Ryosuke. He was sitting at the back left corner of the classroom. Nobody spoke to him, neither did he speak to them. The only empty desk in the classroom was the desk next to his. “Oh crap.” he thought to himself.
“Please come in new student.” Sato Sensei called out.
Reiko was walking along the edge of her classmates' desks. She was incredibly nervous, but managed to put on a smile. Reiko just wanted to have friends in her new school.
“Hello, my name is Reiko Arioka. Nice to meet you all.” Reiko said while she bowed.
“Reiko, since your name starts with an R, you will be sitting next to Ryosuke. Ryosuke please raise your hand.” Sato Sensei said.
Reiko was looking for a hand, and she spotted one at the back that was slowly raising. She took a glimpse at his face and slouched. "Not him again," she thought to herself.
The boys in the class were practically drooling as Reiko made her way to her seat. Wild thoughts were going through their heads. All the girls in her class were gossiping about her last name.
“Do you think she’s related to Daiki Arioka by any chance?” one of the girls whispered.
“What if they're siblings, or somehow related to each other?” another asked.
“Stop the fuss! Pay attention, this will be on your exam!” Sato Sensei shouted.
Reiko realized she’d already learn this in Canada. So she decided to look out the window, but there was nothing that fascinated her outside. There was a lonely playground, waiting for the students to come play in it. She turned her focus back to the classroom, looking to her right. She caught a glance of Ryosuke's face. "His face is pretty....pretty boy." She noted to herself. Reiko stared at Ryosuke for a long time, he didn't notice though. "If he had a better personality, maybe I'd fall for him."
It was lunch time, and Reiko turned around to take her lunch out. As soon as she was facing forward again, she saw the crowd of people around her desk. They were all introducing themselves at the same time, but Reiko didn't catch a single name.
“Are you related to Hey! Say! Jump's Daiki in anyway?" A girl suddenly questioned.
“Hey! Say! Jump?” Reiko confusedly asked. She didn't remember the name too well, but she recalled hearing it before.
Ryosuke heard what the girl asked. If Reiko said yes, then the days he spent hiding his identity would be gone to waste.
“She’s talking about your brother Daiki Arioka, tell her you are not related to him in anyway.” Ryosuke whispered in her ears.
“You don’t know Hey! Say! Jump!?” squealed a girl.
“THEY ARE LIKE SO POPULAR IN JAPAN!" another girl shouted.
“YEAHH ESPECIALLY RYOSUKE!” another classmate shouted. Ryosuke smirked, he always liked to know that his fans loved him.
“DON’T FORGET YUTO!” another one said.
“DAIKI ARIOKA IS LIKE SO HOTT!” retorted the girl who asked Reiko the question.
“NOOOOO RYOSUKE IS HOTTER!” another girl said.
Reiko's mind clicked, and a million thoughts were flowing in her mind. "So my brother's band is quite popular. I’m assuming Ryosuke is part of his band too since he did warn me not to tell anyone that he is Ryosuke Yamada. Then I wonder what his name is in this class? Girls in Japan actually think my brother is hot?"
“Who’s Ryosuke?…. this one?” Reiko asked while pointing at Ryosuke.
“NO! I mean Ryosuke Yamada, this one is Ryosuke Izawa.” one girl explained to her, as if Reiko didn't know already. Ryosuke simply walked out with his lunch and made his way to the rooftop.
“He’s such a nerd though.” the girl continued. "And nobody likes him, he's such a loner."
“Enough with that girls.. so Reiko...are you single?” a guy asked.
Ten minutes later, all the guys in her class were asking her out, arguing with each other over who Reiko would pick.
“Sorry guys, but I have a boyfriend already.” Reiko lied. She could see that some girls in her class was getting jealous of her already. She just wanted to make friends. Even though one guy caught her eye. He was mixed, well he looked mixed. His name was Irie Yamamoto. But her mind was only able to fix a picture of Ryosuke. "Did Ryosuke really have no friends? He doesn’t seem to be talking to anyone in the class." Reiko thought to herself.
After Reiko had exclaimed that she had a boyfriend, all the boys were thinking on how to steal her heart. They assumed that her boyfriend was probably living in Canada. Class was going to start again and Ryosuke came back from the rooftop.
“Where did you run off to?” Reiko asked curiously.
“None of your business.” Ryosuke replied coldly. He turned around and began listening to the teacher.
Reiko felt that she had nothing better to do than stare at Ryosuke, so that's what she did. As Ryosuke was copying the notes from the board, he felt a pair of eyes on him. He turned to his left and he saw Reiko's eyes glistening. "Boy does he have a pretty face, he’s such a pretty boy. How I wish I can kiss those lips again." Reiko was fantasizing in her head, and she didn't realize that Ryosuke was too staring back at her, in confusion. Ryosuke was getting creeped out, so he decided just ignore Reiko, since she didn't seem like she was going to turn around. He felt her eyes staring at him. Ryosuke was wondering why she was staring at him. "Is she planning on eatting all the strawberries in the world?"
When the bell rang, Ryosuke ran out the classroom as fast as he could. He couldn’t stand her staring at him. Although he sort of enjoyed it, but it was still pretty creepy. Nobody ever stared at him in class well except for the early days when he first went to this school. But then soon everybody started to just ignore him and began bullying him because he was just a nerd. But what everybody didn’t know was that he was Ryosuke Yamada, a member of Hey! Say! Jump and not Ryosuke Izawa. Ryosuke ran until he made it out of the school. However, he realized that he had to bring Reiko home with him. But they also had practice….
Ryosuke had waited for Reiko outside of the school for about half an hour. Yet there was still no signs of her.
As Ryosuke saw her with a bunch of guys and girls who was from their class, he ran up, grabbed her hand and head towards Johnny’s building. They left shocking facial expressions on their classmates. Especially the male classmates, whom were now incredibly envious of Ryosuke, how a nerd was able to just pull her away.
“LET GO OF ME!” Reiko shouted. But Ryosuke just tightened his grip.
“NO! Were going to be late then!” he said.
“WHERE ARE WE GOING?” Reiko shouted confused, having intentions of getting kidnapped.
“PRACTICE!” Ryosuke shouted back.
As they entered the building, they saw posters everywhere, all the Johnny’s group. Something caught Reiko’s eyes. It was a poster of ten guys, they were wearing white and red. One of them looked like her brother Daiki and the other looked like Ryosuke. Reiko thought Ryosuke looked really cute in that photo. On the side it said Hey! Say! Jump. She looked around the building, it was gigantic.
Ryosuke dragged her into the elevator. They stayed inside and waited for the fifth floor. They walked down a hallway that was filled with Hey! Say! Jump posters and some other bands. But it was mainly Hey! Say! Jump.
Reiko noticed that their hands were still together. A tint of pink appeared on her face, and she tried to pull away. But he just tightened his grip like he had before, so she just let him hold her hand.
When they finally reached the end of the hallway, they entered the Hey! Say! Jump practice room. Reiko was so lost, there were so many people. She was trying to count but lost count. It was a big room filled with mirrors. Was Hey! Say! Jump this popular? As they walked into the room, nine sets of eyes were staring at them.
“Is this your girlfriend?” Ryutaro asked excited.
“No! She’s not my girlfriend, I have better taster then this!” Ryosuke said.
“Excuse me.” Reiko glared at him.
“Ohh..I though she was your girlfriend since you guys are holding hands." Ryutaro pointed out
“Yeahhh same here.” Hikaru said.
Oh my god, my sister and Ryosuke are holding hands… what happened to them? Are they dating? How come they didn’t tell me anything? They better not be dating, or else I'll have to kill Ryosuke.
“Ryosuke! WHY THE HELL ARE YOU HOLDING ONTO MY SISTER'S HAND?” Daiki shouted.
“Oh crap.” Ryosuke muttered to himself as he let go of Reiko's hand. He didn’t even know why he was still holding onto her hand. It’s not like he liked her or anything, it just felt nice holding onto her soft hands.
“Wait…that’s your sister? She looks so different from the first time we saw!” Inoo claimed.
“SO WHY WERE YOU HOLDING ONTO MY SISTER HAND?” Daiki yelled.
“I was just uh…..” Ryosuke couldn’t finish his sentence.
Daiki ran up to Ryosuke and held him by his shirt collar, giving him a good blow in the face.
“Don’t do it ever again Ryosuke.” Daiki warned.
Ryosuke was on the floor, his hand slowly touching his face. “Ouch” he cried out.
Reiko ran up to him, “Are you okay?” Reiko asked.
“Yeah…I’m fine.” Ryosuke said while trying to ignore the pain.
“Oh my…pretty boy, your face is ruined!" Reiko said to herself.
Reiko helped Ryosuke up and brought him to a couch. She helped him sit down and went to go get ice. When she found ice, she ran back to the Hey! Say! Jump practice room. She walked over to Ryosuke, and sat next to him. Reiko slowly placed the ice on his face.
“AHH” Ryosuke yelled out.
“It’s okay I can do it by myself, I don’t need your help” Ryosuke said while trying to get the bag of ice in Reiko’s hand. Their hands brushed slightly and Reiko dropped the bag of ice.
“No, it’s okay. I have to help you, my brother caused your face to be like this.” Reiko said while picking the bag of ice back up and softly placing the bag of ice on his face.
Seeing my sister putting ice on my best friend's face just makes me want to punch him again. But his pretty face is ruined because of me. Would our friendship get ruined by this punch of mine? Should I go and say sorry? Most of all, are they really dating? If they are, should I not care about their relationship or should I disagree to them?
After what seemed like hours of thinking and watching Reiko placing the bag of ice on Ryosuke face, Daiki decided to go and apologize.
“They really do look like a couple.” Takaki whispered to Daiki and the rest of the members.
“Yeahh, a cute couple too.” Yuto agreed.
“But don’t they like fight everyday?” Keito asked.
Daiki walked over to Ryosuke and his sister to apologize.
“I’m so sorry Ryosuke, I just got angry that you were holding onto Reiko’s hand.” Daiki apologized.
“It’s okay man. I was just bringing your sister here since we had practice. Well in the future, I will know not to mess with your sister, right?” Ryosuke said, smiling.
When Reiko heard “not to mess with your sister”, she felt sort of sad. Will this mean that in the future nothing could happen between them? She shook her head. No, she wouldn’t even want to have anything happen between him.
With that, Daiki walked out of the room, making a text to every member saying:
"Guys, next Tuesday is Reiko's birthday. Come to my house at 6pm. It will be a surprise birthday party for her."
I’m getting ready to pick up my sister’s friend, Michiko, from the airport right now. I hear music coming from downstairs, it’s probably Reiko playing the piano. As I pulled the pink t-shirt over my head, I faintly heard ‘Star Time’ playing. Where was it coming from? My computer wasn’t on, and my phone ringtone doesn't sound like that either. Weird. I made my way toward the music. The next thing I know, I was heading downstairs towards the piano. Reiko was playing ‘Star Time’….what? She knew about Hey! Say! Jump before coming here?
“Whoa Reiko, you know how to play Star Time?” I asked when the song was coming to an end.
“Yeah I do. What’s so weird about it…” Reiko asked while starting to play Mayonaka No Shadow Boy.
“WHOA YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY MAYONAKA NO SHADOW BOY TOO?!” Daiki yelled.
“How do you even know… the name of the songs I’m playing?” Reiko asked.
“My band sings those songs, it’s songs from Hey! Say! Jump.” Daiki explained.
“WHAT?!?!” Reiko asked.
“Yeah…. See I told you my band is POPULAR.” Daiki shouted, proud of his band.
My sister continued playing some more songs from Johnny’s Entertainment, I can tell Reiko and Inoo get along well. I wonder if she even listens to Japanese songs. Ever since she came back from Canada, when I passed by her room. I always hear western music coming from her iPod.
“Hey Reiko! Do you even listen to Japanese songs?” Daiki asked curiously.
“Of course,” Reiko said with a smile on her face.
“Mayonaka No something boy by some band,” Reiko said.
“MAYONAKA NO SHADOW BOY? I told you already, my band sings it” Daiki said
“I don’t believe you, your band probably sounds really bad. Since they have Ryosuke in it” Reiko said.
“Okay fine, I will prove it to you. What’s your favourite part from the song then?” Daiki asked, trying to get to know his sister better.
“Why are you asking me so many questions all of a sudden? Well ummm… I like the first shadow.” Reiko replied.
Whoa…. So she likes Ryosuke’s part. How can you be so clueless? Is she secretly hiding that she does not know about Jump or is it really true? How can I even think my sister will be lying in the first place! I looked at my watch, I was going to be late for the airport! Reiko’s friend is coming, I have to go pick her up, I’m not going to make it on time! I said bye to Reiko and headed for the door, picking up a pair of sunglasses and a hat on the way out.
As I arrived, I realized Michiko’s flight came about 10 minutes ago. I began running around the airport trying to find which gate she was coming from. I was carrying a sign that read “Michiko (Reiko’s friend)”. I noticed I didn’t ask for her last name, how stupid am I? I finally arrived at the gate that her flight was coming from; Gate 15. I rushed to the line of people standing there and quickly put the sign in front of me. A girl about 5’3walked near me and was staring at my sign, slowly tilting her head for some reason.
She walked closer to me and said “Hey I’m errr Michiko.”
“Reiko’s friend?” Daiki asked.
“Yeahh, umm… you got your sign upside down.” Michiko said.
“OH CRAP! Sorry! No wonder you were tilting your head staring at the sign, I thought you were some creeper.” Daiki said.
After talking for a while, they decided to talk at a café.
-At Star Time Café-
“Wow nice name…Star Time Café..reminds me of something,” Michiko said in wonder.
“Yeah nice name..” Daiki said, as he prayed for her to not be a Hey! Say! Jump fan. He was scared that he might get interrogated.
Daiki lead Michiko to the VIP section.
“Hey! We can’t go there, it’s for VIPs only.” Michiko said kind of worried.
“Don’t worry,” Daiki said while holding on to Michiko’s wrist.
Eh.. why is my heart beating so fast? Michiko thought.
Daiki brought her to a table of two next to the window.
“So when do you want to do the party?” Michiko asked.
“How about Tuesday, I told my friends to come on Tuesday.” Daiki said while taking off his cap and sunglasses.
“Sur--- YOU LOOK SO FAMILIAR!!!” Michiko screamed out loud.
“Really…?” Daiki asked calmly, hoping again that she was not a fan girl.
“Like someone…I saw on TV… but I don’t remember correctly...” Michiko said trying to think of who he might be.
Oh crap, what if she really is a fan girl. Won’t that mean Ryosuke and I have to live with a FAN GIRL in our house…Daiki thought to himself.
“So the party will start on Tuesday at 6pm.” Daiki said trying to change the topic.
After sitting at the café for two hours, trying to sort out all the details and everything, they decided it was best that Michiko stayed in a hotel for now. She would move in with them later on. So Reiko won't be living in a house just with two guys.
-During Hey! Say! Jump dance rehearsal-
“So you guys will be coming on Tuesday right?” Daiki asked hoping everyone will say yes.
“Of course, it’s Daiki’s sister’s birthday,” Takaki and Keito exclaimed.
“We’re coming too.” Yabu, Hikaru and Inoo chanted together.
“Same here,” Ryutaro and Yuto said.
“Me----“ Chinen got cut off by Ryosuke.
“Sorry Daiki, Chi and I already have plans,” Ryosuke said.
“WHA---“ Chii said.
“Remember the plans that we planned out a month ago,” Ryosuke said trying to shut Chi's mouth.
“Come on Yamachan, we all know you don’t have plans,” Yuto said.
“Yeah, just go.” Inoo said.
Daiki was disappointed to hear that Ryosuke and Chii wouldn’t be coming to Reiko’s birthday party. He wanted Reiko to have the best 16th birthday party ever. Since he didn’t spend Reiko’s birthday with her for a long time. He thought Ryosuke would understand how he felt. They seemed like they were getting along better.
Ryosuke dragged Chii out of dance rehearsal, not wanting to hear the rest of the members saying 'Just come, we know you don’t have plans, and you don’t want to see Daiki’s disappointed face.'
(Ryosuke point of view)
What will I even do at Reiko’s party? Daiki and I will probably fight again, and then her party will probably be screwed.
However, secretly, although he hid it, Ryosuke wanted to go to Reiko’s party. He wanted to make her happy on her sweet sixteen, but he didn’t know why. He knew he didn’t love her or anything, but to prevent anything to happen like that, he had to avoid her. Daiki would kill him.
Reiko was looking through a calendar in the house, she lost track of the days in the month. She checked, it was May 1st. That meant that tomorrow was May 2nd. Her 16th birthday was approaching in less than 24 hours. She hoped that Daiki wouldn’t remember her birthday. She hated when people made a big deal out of birthdays, especially her birthday. Ever since she came back from Canada, she felt quite lonely. She wished Michiko would be there to talk to her.
-I’m Yours by Jason Mraz (Reiko’s ringtone)
“Hello,” Reiko said.
“Hey it’s me, Keito,” said the voice on the other line.
“Ohh….” Reiko said, trying to remember who Keito was.
“I’m one of your brother’s band mates.” Keito said, knowing that she would be confused as to who he was.
“OHH! Hi Keito!” Reiko said.
“Are you free right now?” Keito asked.
“Yeah,” Reiko replied.
“You want to hang out?” Keito asked.
“Sure,” Reiko said happily, she had nothing better to do anyways.
The two decided to hang out at the mall. They started talking about their likes and dislikes. It seemed like they had a lot in common. Their clothing styles were similar, so when they were shopping together at the mall, they helped each other pick out clothes, causing other customers to think that they were a couple. They passed by a sports store and Keito caught Reiko staring at a Michael Jordan jersey.
“You like that?” Keito asked.
“Yeah..uhh not really, it’s too expensive. Come on, I’m hungry let’s go for lunch.” Reiko replied, tugging on Keito’s arm.
Reiko and Keito were eating lunch, chatting and laughing at each other happily.
Ryosuke, Yuto and Chinen were shopping for Reiko’s gift. Somehow, Yuto had convinced Ryosuke to go, which let Chinen go too. They were heading to the food court to grab something to eat. Yuto was looking around to see which place he wants to eat at. Until he saw two people eating together happily laughing and chatting.
“Hey! Isn’t that Reiko and Keito?” Yuto asked, pointing at the two people a couple of metres away from them.
“Whoa! I think it is!” Chinen said in shock.
Ryosuke glanced at them. He never saw Reiko smiling so bright before. He then saw Keito brushing Reiko’s face. His hands turned into a fist.
Chinen saw and commented, “Hey, calm down. There’s probably nothing going on between those two.”
“Not like it matters to me if there was something going on between them.” Ryosuke retorted.
“Well since it doesn’t, let’s go join them.” Yuto said while skipping over to Reiko and Keito’s table.
Chinen followed right behind Yuto, while Ryosuke was slowly dragging his legs. Reiko was laughing so much with Keito.
“Hey guys!” Yuto said.
“You guys are here too?” Reiko asked and saw Ryosuke was with them.
“Hey Chi, I’m going to go look around.” Ryosuke whispered to Chi. He couldn’t stand a second of this nonsense. His pulse was getting faster and faster. He could’ve sworn that he was about to beat up Keito.
“Hey Ryosuke!” Reiko yelled out wondering where Ryosuke was going.
Ryosuke turned around and glared at her.
“Whoa, Ryosuke looks scary…I wonder what happened to him.” Keito said.
What if he thought Keito and I were going out? Reiko thought.
Reiko ran after Ryosuke, having no idea where to look for him, but she had to make sure Ryosuke didn’t misinterpret things, she didn’t like Keito in that way.
Keito ran after Reiko, wondering where she could possibly go. He caught up with her and made a grab for her wrist.
“Hey, where are you going?” Keito asked.
“Leave me alone.” Reiko said as she shook Keito's hand off.
She continued to look for Ryosuke.
-At Yuto and Chinen side-
“Whoa, this is like a drama.” Yuto chirped happily.
“YOU BAKA!” Chinen hit Yuto's head.
“OUCH!!” Yuto yelled.
Ryosuke was walking, then he quickly picked up his pace. The next thing he knew, he was running in the mall trying to find an exit. He couldn’t get that image out of his head, where Reiko was smiling so happily with Keito. All Reiko ever gave Ryosuke were evil looks.
He heard a familiar voice yelling his name repetitively. It was Reiko’s voice, causing him to run even faster.
Reiko ran even faster, trying to catch up to him. She was an athlete in school anyways, so she got a hold of Ryosuke’s hand and squeezed it. She wasn’t planning on letting go.
“What? Let’s go of me!” Ryosuke yelled out getting even more angry.
“It’s just a misunderstanding!” Reiko yelled back.
“I don’t care about your life, go with Keito!” Ryosuke said trying to get out of the hold before he did something stupid that he would regret later.
When Reiko heard this, she felt like a knife just stabbed her in the heart. “Okay, fine.” She slowly dropped his hand and walked away. Tears were falling down her cheeks.
Ryosuke heard Reiko crying. He couldn’t believe he said that.
“Hey Reiko, wait.” Ryosuke yelled, running toward Reiko.
Reiko turned around, wiping her tears away, trying to look strong.
“What do you want? I’m leaving you alone.” She began walking again..
“I didn’t mean that, I’m sorry.” Ryosuke said while pulling Reiko into a tight hug.
Reiko hugged him back while crying on his shoulders, not caring if she was making his shirt wet.
“It’s okay, don’t cry.” Ryosuke said while wiping off some of Reiko’s tears.
Keito, who saw the whole scene, got mad. He made Reiko cry, what right did he have to hug her? Keito ran up to them and pushed Ryosuke away from Reiko.
“Don’t worry Reiko, I’m here.” Keito said.
Keito punched Ryosuke a couple of times. Ryosuke was now on the ground, getting punched and kicked by Keito.
“STOP IT KEITO!!” Reiko screamed, wanting the horror to stop.
Keito wouldn’t stop, and soon Ryosuke looked like he was half dead. Reiko went in between their fight and decided to protect Ryosuke, before Keito killed him.
Keito decided to punch his hardest, when he punched, he realized he punched Reiko not Ryosuke. Keito pushed Reiko far away from Ryosuke, making her hit the ground hard. Ryosuke slowly crawled toward Reiko, while Keito punched him some more. Ryosuke had enough of this, he couldn’t stand seeing the girl he liked be injured on the floor. He got up and punched Keito in the face. KAPOW. But at that very moment Daiki unfortunately came, only seeing Ryosuke’s fist fly into Keito’s fact. Yuto and Chii were already there from the very beginning. As the fight had some what calmed down, Chii and Yuto went to help Ryosuke. Daiki saw his sister on the ground and got freaked out. He quickly picked up Reiko and put her on his back, carrying her away. On the way back to their house, Daiki demanded that Keito and Ryosuke give him an explanation on what had happened back there.
Ryosuke took Reiko upstairs while Keito was giving Daiki an explanation.
“So what happened?” Daiki asked.
“Reiko and I were just hanging out at the mall. Then Ryosuke, Yuto and Chii came. Reiko simply said hi, but Ryosuke ran off. Reiko got worried and went to look for him. But Ryosuke said harsh words to Reiko, so she started crying and then all of a sudden he started hugging her, so I told him to go leave Reiko alone, since her birthday was tomorrow. But then he began to punch me, for no reason at all. Reiko kept on telling him to stop but he pushed her towards the ground, claiming she was in the way. Of course I had to defend both myself and Reiko, so I threw some punches at Ryosuke.
Daiki was furious hearing what Keito said, he quickly ran up the stairs heading toward Reiko’s room. He saw Ryosuke holding tightly onto Reiko hand. Daiki threw a punch at Ryosuke, making him fall to the ground.
“Don’t ever step into this house again, don’t think you will be allowed to get in after what you did to Reiko and Keito” Daiki shouted.
Reiko heard some loud noises, and her eyes were slowly opening.
“What’s going on?” Reiko whispered trying to get her voice back to normal
“Nothing, Ryosuke get out now!” Daiki screeched.
“What did Ryosuke do?” Reiko asked.
“Don’t you remember Reiko, he was the one who hurt you.” Keito retorted.
“All I remember is that, Ryosuke was on the ground, then someone pushed me toward the ground. Then before my eyes closed, I saw Ryosuke punching Keito.” Reiko said trying to think of anything else she missed.
“Let me clear things up for you. It was Ryosuke who pushed you to the ground.” Daiki said pushing Ryosuke out the door.
“Just let Ryosuke stay, Daiki. Ryosuke, say sorry to Keito.” Reiko said hoping Ryosuke would be able to stay if he apologize.
“Why should I?” Ryosuke said
“GET OUT NOW!” Daiki shouted
“For me?” Reiko said quiet enough for Ryosuke to hear.
Ryosuke really wanted to apologize for Reiko, but he couldn’t bring himself to it. He wasn’t the one who pushed Reiko to the floor, he wasn’t the one who started the fight. He couldn’t love Reiko, Daiki would get even more mad at him.
The other best members were practically in Reiko’s room, pushing Ryosuke out the door. They never thought Ryosuke would do something like that. But they believed Keito, because he was always honest.
