Gantz, its got rape, murder (sometimes at the same time), gore, and generally all the filth of humanity wrapped in a demented little package. Not to mention, that show brutally kills a kid, an old lady, and eventually, a dog. Thats like three main rules of anime, dont kill old ladies, kids or dogs, right?

I agree...I cried a lot on the grandma/grandson part...I never expected that to come.

Elfen Lied or Black Lagoon. It's really hard to say which. Someone told me Saykano is pretty dark.

Definitely "melancholy" or "depressing" But I don't know about "Dark" Actually, I think Claymore is the darkest. turning into a ravenous guts eating monster has to be the worst. D Gray-man is also very dark if you think about all the people dying and the souls trapped by the Akuma. Jigoku Shoujo - sending people to people to hell and all the Messed up things people did each other. Blood + with all the turning little kids into vicious little goblinoids and such. Devil may cry - you know, it has the devil. Shadowstar Narutaru - I can't get into it at all without spoilng it, but it is seriously twisted.
