In Persona 1, they called out their Personas at will. In Persona 3, they use guns called Evokers to summon their Personas. While Persona 4 they summon their card and shatter it to summon their Personas.
We won't know if they would use the same summoning system in P4 or something new.

The day this game is announced in full I'll cry with joy, providing it's not for PSP as it looks like it's heading that way what with P3P and the remake of the first game recently, eesh.
Other than that, I'm surprised there was nothing at E3 about it, but it seems the only media outlet that agrees with me there is the metro.
Y'know, that paper that's given out for free on public transport.
