I agree with you. No matter how friendly a member may be, it'll always feel weird talking to someone around the same age as my parents about anime/dramas

lot's of parents watch dramas. It's not so weird if they said a comment to you.
why should it be any different on the net?

Yes but there is a difference between talking to someone in person about dramas than talking to someone on the internet about them. You don't really know them, do you? I'd think you know what I mean by when I say they could be anyone. For all anyone knows, they could be just trying to gain someones liking and trust so that they can gain something else...

Don't get me wrong I don't think that all older members are like this but you can't help but think it really.

why not.. u were once 13. would u want to be treated like outcast by people 2 years older?

I meant around 13. Would you really want this site to be filled with like 6-9 year olds?

that's true. but I still can't help it that when the person comes with good intentions, someone has to suspect them. I know that you only mean well, but what about the good people?

It's just like your friends, you don't know who they really are either. You just talk to them. (notice I'm only comparing and giving an example)

like on most other forums I think 13 should be the youngest age... there are creeps on every website and if you're older you know how to deal with it better

Yeah I guess I agree with you on that. But I gotta say that its not as umcomfortable talking to people of a younger age than adults (for me).

What about when they lie about their age?
Lot's of people do that, and you never know, would you rather they lie about their age to make you feel better and talk with them?

If I'm honest, I never really suspect them to be lying about their age unless the conversation(s) turn a little strange. Like if someone randomly asked for my email address or something personal. Like I said, I don't think badly of everyone on this site so I don't instantly think they're lying about their age.
