also on this topic, you cant really have an age limit on anything, even if you have lets say, an age limit of 18 on some site, all someone has to do to access it, is lie about their age, and poof done, so its impossible to keep a realistic age limit on websites..... tho you could do like a forum i used to venture, and ban everyone that posts things that makes them sound like a child ( tho your users count would fall drastically if this were attempted, or it might increase, depending on the type of site it is)

males over 40 shouldn't be allowed i suppose because they're usually the sexual predators

im sorry but this is ridiculous, that post is very biased you realize that sexual predators can be female as well right? also the avarage age of sexual predators is mid 30's in short don't post things with no backing.

I don't even look at age most of the time when I'm doing responses

The exception would be if they show immaturity, and then I see they're only a brat, though I won't say how young I consider to be a brat--esp since in the eyes of someone in their late 20s/30s I myself would be a brat

I don't think there should really be an upper limit for ages as people from previous generations could share their maturity and wisdom with some of the younger folks but it may be harmful for a person with a mind that hasn't sufficiently matured to be going on cr forums reading about 12 yr olds that die during childbirth (there's both positive and negative consequences to something like that)

Yeah...even some older people can say some surprisingly immature things, if that's what you mean...

I don't believe that an age restriction is necessary for CrunchyRoll, and I have two main reasons for that.

1.) It's very easy to fake your age on a website
2.) Anime (and drama) has enough content to span the majority of age groups.

What I would like to see is a segregated area of the website with uncensored episodes. It becomes irritating when an anime uses bright white fog that covers a good 60% of a scene just because one (or some) of the characters stands up from a bath, or whatever. Verification of age could be done by using a credit or debit card.

As far as sexual predators goes, it's both offensive and ignorant for someone to assume that a male of a certain age is a predator. That's a very nasty stereotype, and it's depressing to see someone talk like that. Males do not automatically become sexual predators at a certain age, and as someone else mentioned (thank you for that, by the way), it's not just men.

That stereotype is a real pain in the backside. There are some really interesting people who happen to be below the age of 18. Everyone misses out when you "can't" talk to people of a certain group. Just never give out your personal information... not your school, not your school mascot, and definitely not your contact information. When in doubt, don't give it out.

Hmm, I joined this site when I was 10 years old. I think about 2-3 years ago. Though I do think you have to be at least 13 to join.
(Even though I'm not even 13 years old yet )

I signed up when I was like 12, but I was 2 weeks away from being 13, I think. Plus, I made this account, and left it alone until december 2007, that's when I started being active.
Well, you'll be surprised to find out how many users here are under 13. Before, I used to feel young talking to people, being 13 and all, now I feel old. I really do think that you should be at least 13 to be on here, this place can get... how do I put it? inappropriate. I once met a 7 year old, I thought that was too extreme, she even lied to me saying that she was 15, then later on she told me that she was 7. That's like a big slap to the face. But then again, she did not act 15 at all, she was way too immature. Like when she told me she was really 7, she said something like "hahahhahahhah!! I fooled yoouuuu~~~ You felllll for it!! XDD I'm really 7 idiot!!!!!"

Does age really matter?

I mean come on! Age doesn't really matter, what matter is how that person is able to comprehend to the rules. Usually, we can actually see people in their early 20s still acting as immature as ever. I don't believe there should be an age restriction, instead we should have age testing in our society. What I mean is a test to tell your level of maturity.

We can see 13 year old children acting very mature of their age, or maybe even younger. So I tell you this---don't judge someone from their age, but from how they act.

I don't thing age matters as long as they aren't a Dbag on the forums

No age limits should be made to view this site. Maybe on the forums childish discussions and responses should be filtered as spoilers.
