idk i really like the anime but it always bothered me how toned down it is when compared to the manga. like i can deal with how some of the early chapters were omitted and such but the removal of blood is kind of annoying.

i can get by without it but some of the injuries lose there seriousness without blood, for example in episode 77:

i can't help but be a little annoyed when there is no blood from such a serious injury. what do other people think?

for the sake of conversation we'll talk about the anime openly (no spoiler tags) from this point on but anything that hasn't happened in the anime yet mark with a spoiler.

Yeah I do wish that, but don't you think that the animators really made it like it was for kids?
Say it, BLEACH and some animes would have blood and watched by people in Japan. This anime doesn't and the animators are either lazy or seriously made the show light-hearted.
I never knew that it should have blood until I read the manga. The Animator are gonna so make Genkishi like he's decomposing when he dies in the anime rather then exploding lol.

well considering in episode 134 the illusions of tsuna's friends just grabbed onto him (what the hell were they trying to do anyways?) when in the manga they actually grabbed onto his neck and tried to choke him to death.

so i wouldn't be surprised if they do something stupid with

Yeah. They made it like that so even 3 year olds could watch it as well. That episode with the illusions actually made me laugh, I mean, they said it was Genkishi's most terrifying attack and just look at that. WTF. lol

You can't blame that.
Anyway, I know these animes that was made by the SAME ANIMATING COMPANY. Artland animated these AND KHR! itself too.
Gunslinger Girl -II Teatrino- (2nd season) This anime has little girls using guns and working for the organization, and if I could recall, there might not be much blood but hey, one of the girls actually had one of their suits splashed with blood after killing two people.
As far as I know, only Gunslinger Girl was the other anime I KNOW to be animated by Artland, who animated Reborn! too, to have blood.
(Btw Gunslinger Girl's a good watch. Unfortunately, it just so happens to be one of the anime that is hard to find.) And I left out the anime Happiness! since it's not related.

Perhaps the animators wanted to make Genkishi look WEAK lol. But let's just say his illusions had some error and went for Tsuna's arms and instead of the neck!

I understand your concerns...but it's like this for a reason:

When the manga was first licensed for an anime it was still a comedy series and as such Artland believed it could air in a child friendly timeslot. Shortly afterwards it became an action manga but it was too late by that point so we're kinda stuck with it.

Though the edits are annoying, I don't hate them enough to stop watching the anime, and I think we should be greatful that even if it's a "child friendly time-slot" the Japanese don't have high standards like the US does(aka 4 KIDS) so there's at least SOME blood...

If they move to another time-slot then good, but realistically it won't happen.

well that makes sense, i don't blame the company too much cause they did try to keep the blood. go back and watch episode 21 where there was in fact blood. obviously after that they were prolly forced to avoid going to that level violence again.

it's just some questioning, don't take it too serious to a point that there are arguments, but i'm going to ignore what ever comes back if i feel that it is going to lead to something that is a waste of time.
Are you seriously thinking that the animators are toning this down because they are making it like it was for kids? they have a guy in speedo (EXTREME SWIMMING!) and a guy that strips into his boxers and runs around say that he'll do ______ with his dying will. they are about mafia, they have a sadist, i mean, around three, at least. and do they think that the parents will approve of it when their kids saw this show and they laugh like some of the characters in it, like belphegor and mukuro? and say that they'll bite people to death? I don't think that they had made it like it was for kids, but i do think that they just don't want to make this anime too serious because it was labeled under Humor after all. but i have to admit that this series had gotten a bit too serious for the past few episodes and then they lighten the mode just recently
and as for the blood part, why they have it int he manga is because, they don't want audience to see blood squirting/spilling out of bodies in the anime, or is that they just can't draw blood coming out of bodies in the anime. but then they should have taken the blood out of the manga too, since kids read it.
that's all i have to say, but we'll never really know what it really is unless the animators tells us

Other than Katekyo Hitman Reborn, there's another anime Artland animated called Gunslinger Girl -Il Teatrino- and there's some blood in the anime.

Yeah, the anime's version of Genkishi's illusions looked pretty lame. But overall, I think they've been less strict on the whole blood thing than they used to be. It's nowhere near as bloody as the first few fights were, but its a step up from that scene on ep 77.

Basically the story is about five girls. Before coming to SWA, they had a unhappy childhood before being saved. They were given cyborg transplants and now work as assassins for the SWA. They have a handler and called as a fratello, known as siblings.
Btw Artland animated the second season. 1st season would be better since the second season focused on something else.
