Uhm, shouldn't they be more concerned on helping Twilight fans? Like making a rehab center for them.

Why do they need to shut off the internet, man? Just be there are a few terrorist forums which they can never find because they never try GOOGLE.

I'm pretty sure it affects everyone who uses the internet, despite their geographical location. >_>

But man, if they feel threatened, we need to suffer as well?

LOL.
That is all.

they are doing it because of potential cyber attack, imagine hacker hacking into the government and launching nukes everywhere. Do you want that I don't, plus it's not 100% possible to shut down the internet. plus he would only use it when a cyber attack happens not when he feels like it. I rather live without internet for a day then die because the cyber infrastructure is killing us all.

If the us has that much lack in security they really need to beef it up. I mean i do a bit of hacking every now and then but the grand-scale they are talking about would take someone with a vast amount of knowledge and I highly doubt some suicide bombing morons could figure out how to turn on a computer let alone get pass passed a multi layer firewall with 128bit hex-key security. All I think this bill is going to do is give power of what we are able to obtain and not obtain information on.

they might not have computer knowledge but they do have money and is capable of hiring someone who DOES have the know how to hack the system

there are double agents everywhere but I highly doubt it would happen, we already tried to cut down on our nuclear arsenal as it is and the only way to stop funding these bastards it to come up with our own source of energy.

And we'd finally have a world full of withdrawal symptom-ed zombies.

It's possible, but i'd be dead by then, and obama will, too.

So i'm not stressing.

Well, considering that 4 of the 13 root DNS nameservers are located in the US (2 of them owned and operated by the US federal government), it is possible that if the US went down, the entire Internet would be adversely affected - not just the US servers.

This is easily relatable to Egypt. The internet was shut down. People ended up getting creative and people didn't just give up. Why exactly was this bill introduced, in like a paragraph as opposed to the book that the OP posted? Was it for "our security" or THEIRS...? The People should be able to overthrow their government if the government breaks its contract with the people.

" They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. " - Benjamin Franklin
