Has your pride or chivalry ever stopped you from doing something? Or has it ever made you do something stubborn like?

Has it ever kept your will or faith to do something, made you do something respectful without knowing? Well what we do thats respectful or such we might not think is ever so chivalrous, but if you've ever noticed you acting in a different behavior share your stories.

Me myself, my pride gets the best of me at most times, I cannot admit defeat at times in which people tell me I cannot beat them or I cannot accomplish something. lol It's something I'm really stubborn at, but then again if my pride to not be demeaned wasn't present I would never have jumped off a roof and rolled, I might be less of a man I am today.

So share your stories =D.

I'm a rationalist and i know when i'm beat but when it comes to doing crazy stunts i lose all common sense... Me and my friend got obsessed with doing tricks on the trampoline to the point were there was no more physically possible tricks we couldn't do so we started doing flips off the trampoline and moveing the pillow farther and farther back (it was the landing pad) and put things in front of it... after we got bored with that and moved to aerials and he landed the first one so i gave it a try and i went into 450º :''( and broke my wrist... i didn't realize i broke it and kept on jumping.. thats when i realized i broke it... so now all i can do is use my ability of common sense lol

Almost all the time. I used to be always frustrated when I can't get what I want and worse if I feel like I cant even do anything about it. I'm pretty sure it's just plain ego, but it has put into lots of tight situations.

Much worse when I was living back in Phil way back then. I was a total war freak having gangsta friends and we'd hit on anybody who'd say bad stuffs or just looked us in the eye if were walkin' or crossed our path (metaphorically) somewhere, we'd hunt the guy's ass down day and night non-stop. Im pretty sure it was just all youth though.

Chivalry yeh, Pride of course.

I often thinks it is cool to die for a person, chivalry, brave or stupidity I don't know but I have thought about that since I was 11 years old.

started practising "dying" 4 year ago by many types of "death falling stunts" to find the perfect way to fall after being killed or something, crazy eh?=

I love taking risks..seeing what'll happen if I do this and/or that. But I won't go to the absolute extreme. Like, I won't set someone's house on fire or I won't run around the city topless. Doing certain things can make you look retarded. This might be leaning more towards common sense, though.

Sometimes for example, one time there was this thing at school where you dress up as the opposite sex. Most of my friends dressed up as a guy. They all wanted me to do, but I didn't. I didn't want to walk around school wearing some guy clothes, too much pride.

Nice example =D.

Lol yea, though its not that kind of "street culture" in Philippines when you're living in mostly poverty-stricken areas, crime is rampant and there's always some risk just walking 'round the corner. Some street culture patterns tend to appear.
