For the record, I would love to see a second HOTD series, but it has a big hurdle in lack of material. The manga has been on hiatus since chapter 29 was released, and the series used material from the first 17 chapters.
With the manga on hiatus, that also means the publisher would have little interest in being part of the production committee, as they have no manga to promote the sales of. Reasons for the hiatus are not readily evident, but I found this at TVTropes.org:
; reasons for the hiatus are scarce: Daisuke Sato doesn’t seem to be writing any other manga series at the moment, but Shouji Sato still is seem working on Triage X, a series that he produces by himself, supposedly taking time with it to research on weapons, vehicles, etc for future HOTD manga chapters.; he even colored the first 4 Volumes of HOTD meanwhile the hiatus.
