I was reading a book when I read a part that said something like

Most crimes are committed out of love than vengance.

It kind of made me reflect that people actually commit crime because he / she needed something to give to his / her family and couldn't afford it and had to steal something? Or murder that was due to someone blocking their love?

Though I don't really think it's an excuse...

Well what do you think?

that's true -_-
Machiavellians do that. the end justifies the mean.

however,
there are lot of ways to help your family or love ones.
you are right, those reasons are just excuses. stealing or any form of crime (with whatever reasons you have) is still a crime.

~Oh, this topic just made me remember a show in ETC. It's called "20 acts of love gone wrong. The one that was pasted in my mind was an ex of hollywood actress Jodie Foster. She was loved so much by his ex(don't know the name) that he wanted to show-off how much he loved her by trying to assassinate the president of their time(also don't know who it was at that time). Jodie Foster's existence alone could have changed the fate of America because of that. Well that's what reporters said.

I completely disagree. Most crimes come from being greedy, lack of intelligence, and or because of debt problems. If anything, I think love would keep them from committing crimes. One who is in love, wouldn't want to hurt their loved ones.

if dat's true then you must not loving someone

Yes, people committed crime so that their family can survive, or its because of their love.

Still, People committed crime because they want to kill, revenge, doing their best to lose the evidences, etc. etc. So it doesn't matter if Crimes committed out of love, but "one reason" why people commit crime was because of love.

I'm bothered by the spelling error, anyways i think thats for most of the cases but there are some which have no explanation or there are crazy people out there roaming about trying to think of ways to commit crime while keeping safe.

Love shouldn't be used as a reason for crimes to be committed D: It's definately an excuse... just so the criminal can give himself some kind of justice to his actions. . . but if you're Robin Hood then . . .
