Annette and Aiden arrived at the garden around the same time as Eira and Fin. As soon as Annette saw them, her face flushed a light shade of pink. They must think I'm a freak, and hate me. she thought softly to herself. After all, even as crazy as the President was, everybody respected him. The behavior she showed at the office was unforgivable. It's okay, Aiden reassured, It's not your fault. You're normally not like that. Only when you get majorly pissed off, and I know you had a good reason. They wouldn't understand, so its fine. She didn't feel any better after hearing those words.

Suddenly, Aiden tensed, feeling a presence headed towards them. After a few seconds, he relaxed. It's just Ellie. he told her. Ellie was the President's Guardian, and all the Ringmasters respected her as well. She was in her human form, as she walked gracefully towards them.

"Hello everybody. I'm sure you're ready for the trip? We'll be sending you four at first, and send more Ringmasters as necessary. You'll be leaving on a private MHC plane, at the Circus airport, which is only about 10 minutes away from here. The plane ride is 14 hours long, and I hope you guys will use that time to bond. Feel free to call us if anything comes up. Have fun~!" And with that, she turned around and left.

Annette coughed softly, as she walked towards the main gates. Her throat had started to feel crappy too. A sleek black mini limo was waiting for them at the gate. It was the kind where the seats were facing each other. Annette was the first to climb in, Aiden following. She took a seat and stuck to the window, while Aiden stretched out next to her, taking up all the space.

When Eira and Fin entered the garden, Eira considered waving, but was still upset with Fin for throwing away her vodka bottle. She had paid a lot of money for that, and he had just taken it away. Sure, she was underage, but by what? five years? That was barely anything. Fin was against her habit, and hated when she drinked. But Eira could hold down her drink well, she hardly ever got drunk.

When Ellie approached, both of them listened intensely, waiting to hear were they would be going.

14 hours long. You have got to be kidding me. Where are we going that takes 14 hours? Eira complained insider her head.

At least you will have your magazines.

As Ellie walked away Fin sighed, he was never one for airplanes. Being on one for 14 hours wasn't his cup of tea. They followed behind Annette and Aiden to the main gates, and smiled when they saw the limo. MHC always rode in style; they could not wait to see the private plane. They sat with the space that Aiden had left free, Why are you still in your human form? It's bugging me. Fin rolled his eyes and replied, Sorry I can't always please you, princess. Ugh, he was still mad at her. Eira turned away from Fin so that her back was facing him, he did the same to her.

"14 hours." Eira moaned to herself.

When Eira and Fin squished into the seat, Aiden immediately jumped off- wanting to give them more room. Annette immediately zoomed closer to the window, not wanting to get close to anybody. Aiden sat besides Annette on the floor and thought, Tell them I'm sorry about talking all the room. She blushed at the thought of even talking to them, No way! I can't even say hello, and you expect me to talk to them? I don't think so. He rolled his eyes mentally and replied, They might misunderstand us, you know. Before she could respond, she started to cough quietly again. Aiden turned around, and nudged Annette's hand with his nose. You okay? Annette just nodded as she coughed. She didn't know how she was going to survive the long plane ride.

Soon they arrived at the Circus airport- the MHC's private airline. A personal attendant was already waiting, and she led the group towards the plane gate. They walked onto the plane, and Annette's eyes widened at the interior. It was a plane that could probably fit 80 people, but it was completely personalized just to fit four. There were beds, seats, sofas, and so much more. It was almost like a huge house, all in one room- or rather, plane.

The plane also came with personal attendants and a cooking staff. A pretty smiling woman offered to take Annette's bag, so she handed it to her. She took a seat on a comfortable chair, as Aiden sprawled on a bed. Usually when she went out for jobs, she took a regular plane, with other people. More like, no one went on First Class planes for a job. These kind of planes were solely for the President and the other higher ups, and yet they were riding one. She had a bad feeling about this. It kind of felt like the feast before getting told you were going to be executed, if that made sense. She pushed the thought out of her head, as she coughed. This was going to be a long ride.

Fin quickly took a seat away from Eira when Aiden moved, and gazed out the window for the duration of the car ride. He ignored her as she begged from him to talk to him.

Fin, look... talk to me. I'm bored. Really bored. You gotta talk to me.

Fin said nothing back to her, and stepped out of the car when it came to a stop. He grew instantly excited when he saw the inside of the private plane. Fin was contemplating what food he would be eating. He sat far in the back and watched as Eira took a seat in front of Annette, looking desperately back at him, her eyes pleading with him. Her thoughts still urged him to talk to her, but he refused. He hated treating Eira like this, but she needed to learn her lesson. There had been so many times when Eira had almost killed herself with her drinking. This was only once a year, after she visited her brother, but she would always drink a little when something troublesome came up.

Fin! Please, this is going to be a 14 hour flight, I can't stand it alone!

He looked out the window and waited for the plane to take off, trying his best to not look at Eira.

~~~
Eira crossed her arms when Fin did not reply to her. Why did he have to be so grumpy? She had only brought one bottle along; it was barely anything. She sighed and remember what Ellie had said, "I hope you guys will use that time to bond." Eira nodded her head and turned backward in her seat so she was facing Annette.
"Hey, so are you sick or something, cause it sounds like your gonna cough up a lung?" Eira could slap herself, couldn't she just start out with something normal like, "Hey, how is it going?"
The plane took off, and Annette finally stopped coughing for the moment.
"Hey, so are you sick or something, cause it sounds like your gonna cough up a lung?"
A look of surprise and terror filled her eyes, but thank god for the sunglasses. She was frozen again, and the usual blush warmed her face. Aiden let out a soft snort, Talk to her, idiot! After a few seconds of akward silence, she finally managed to reply. Her blush deepened as she softly said, "I'm fine..."
Her blush deepened as she softly said, "I'm fine..."
Eira smiled and responded, "Well, since you are obviously feeling sick, tell me if you need any help. I know you got your Guardian and all, but I'm hear to help as well. So is Fin." She nodded toward Fin who was still staring out the window, she clicked her tongue on the roof of her mouth and continued, "I mean I'm probably not ideal help, but-" Eira stopped and turned around, she slid deeply into her chair and grabbed her stomach. She was never good at planes- either was Fin provably because he was born from her soul and inherited- she thought she was doing well up tell now. She continued, trying her best to sound normal, "but, you know we are here together so..." she let her voice trail off and gripped her stomach tighter. Her stomach was going on it's own personal roller coaster, she needed a drink. She was going to bring the vodka so she could block out the flight terror, but Fin ruined that plan.
"Umm...thanks..." said Annette, who looked curiously at Eira, who had suddenly turned around. She had caught the slightest change in Eira's voice, and wondered if something was wrong. Aiden who had a good view of both Eira and Annette said, She doesn't look too good. Annette's eyes widened, Did something happen?! Aiden silently chuckled, No, I don't think anything is wrong. More like, I think she's not good with riding planes. Or, you could have given her whatever sickness you have.
She started to worry. Even though she barely knew the girl, they were both fellow Ringmasters. Annette softly asked her, "Are you okay?"
Annette softly asked her, "Are you okay?"
"I'm magnificent." Eira picked her bag up and quickly brought out a the newest addition to her favorite wedding magazine, and began flipping through pages, trying to keep her mind off her stomach. She looked up from the magazine- after pinpointing the most delicious looking cake- and glanced around the plain. "So does anyone know where we are going?"
~~~

Fin felt nausea wash over his mind, and realized it was Eira's not his. He moaned, and slouched into his seat. He was becoming sick of being in his human form, but wasn't willing to change back just yet. He liked the advantage of being able to talk to whoever he wanted, instead of just asking Eira to tell what he wanted to say.

"So does anyone know where we are going?"

Annette was about to say something- when she jumped up from her seat. She whispered, "Excuse me..." Before darting to the bathroom, her hand covering her mouth. Aiden immediately sat up, and flashed into his human form. "I'm afraid I have no idea where we're going. That President of ours never bothered to mention it..." he slowly trailed off, his eyes never leaving the closed bathroom door.

He could hear and see perfectly well what was going on- thanks to her thoughts- and it was not a pretty sight. Annette, you okay? He asked, worried. Yeah, I feel perfect, She moaned, sarcasm dripping with every word. She was sitting on the bathroom floor, her hands tightly gripping the toilet seat, her face looking into the bowl. She felt something shoot up from her stomach, and she puked into the toilet. Ughh... Aiden sighed.

Ustiona, Daichi, and their Guardians watched as a plane
flew across their view of the sky.
The two Ringmasters were laying on the grass, on their backs, reflecting on the events that had just happened.
So it was pretty quiet, except for the occasional ruffling of Sova's feathers.

Daichi broke the silence. "Ustiona...?" he asked simply without turning; his eyes fixed on the sky.
"Hmm?" she responded casually. She was too calm to even notice that Daichi had called her 'Ustiona'.
He noticed this and laughed to himself. "What just happened?"
A pause. He heard her sigh. "Oh, I don't know. It's just something we weren't supposed to get involved in."
He thought about this. "I guess you're right."
"Oh, but isn't this nice and peaceful?" Ustiona stretched her body, touching the grass with her fingers. It was soft.
Daichi turned to look at Ustiona. "Yeah. It is."

Though Eira couldn't be certain, she was pretty sure Annette was puking in the bathroom. No one got up that fast just to use the bathroom. She watched as Aiden stood and warped into his human form, ready to help. But there was not much he could do, just ask her if she was okay. Eira looked at the bathroom door a moment, and then back to her magazine. She was on the section about how to pick the perfect wedding dress. She wanted a sleeveless dress, with a puffed out bottom- for her wedding that was never going to happen. She studied the various looks of makeup and imagined herself in the models place, with some handsome groom by her side. It didn't fit her, and it never would. She threw away the magazine and skipped past the parenting one to the fashion one. She opened it quickly and buried her face into it.

Who knows? Fin's thoughts finally went into Eira's and she smiled.

I know.

Then why do you torture yourself with them?

Eira mentally shrugged her shoulders, I want it, and since I can't have it, I guess I... I guess I just want to try and feel it.

Fin stood from his spot, no longer being able to stay away from Eira. He had shifted to a smaller version of his lion self. When he reached Eira she patted his head and whispered to him with her mind, She seems really sick, you think she can make it through the mission? Fin said nothing.

Annette stared into the toilet, barely making anything out from her tear stained lenses. She gently removed the sunglasses from her face, and placed it next to her. As soon as they touched the ground, she felt her stomach lurch. She puked, but barely anything came out except for water. She had already finished puking her breakfast half an hour ago.

She was starting to feel claustrophobic. She had been stuck in the cramped plane bathroom for an hour now, and she just couldn't stop puking. Her head felt like it was about to burst, and she felt hot from the fever. Her throat felt dry and scratchy, and everytime she swallowed, it hurt like hell. Her stomach had clenched into a knot, and it felt like someone was punching it repeatedly.

After another 10 minutes, the puking finally stopped. She quickly rinsed and washed her mouth, and wiped the dried tears from her sunglasses. When she looked into the mirror, she grimaced at her appearence. She looked horrible. There were dark rings under her eyes, and her face had lost its color. Her hair had gone limp and lost its usual glimmer. She pulled the ribbon off and tied her messy hair into a neat ponytail again. She quickly placed her sunglasses back on, before managing to stumble out the bathroom.

Aiden was already by the door, ready to help her. She shook her head as he reached out to support her. Instead of walking back to her seat, she sprawled onto the bed Aiden was using earlier. She burrowed under the covers, curling into a small ball. Aiden tapped her shoulder, and she looked up. Pills. he said. She opened her mouth, and he dropped them in. She swallowed without water, throat burning. She dropped her head back to the bed again, and re-adjusted the blankets, so it was fully covering her- including her head. It didn't take her long to fall asleep.

Aiden sighed and returned back to his original form. He jumped lightly onto the bed, and curled protectively around Annette. He gave a big yawn, before following asleep as well.

Why do you think life is so tragic? Eira asked as she stroked Fin's mane.

Because without tragedy life would be boring. Fin answer, not really thinking about it. Eira tugged at Fin's mane, for not getting the answer she was hoping for.

She turned her head around when she heard Annette stepping out of the bathroom. She had finally finished puking. Eira stomach had already gotten used to the flight, and she no longer felt sick, she wished she could say the same for Annette. When Eira got a good look at her face, Annette looked a good deal paler than she had when she had first rushed into the bathroom. She watched as Annette flung herself onto the bed, and as Aiden joined her. She felt awkward watching the two, so quickly turned her head back to Fin and back to their conversation.

I would much rather have boring life, than a tragic one.

You say that now, but when life begins to slow down, and it feels like nothing; you will wish for anything, just something to happen. No matter how tragic it may be.
This time Fin had thought about his answer, and watched as Eira agreed with it. A life with children and a husband is not one for you, my Swan. You would become bored so easily, this life is more fitting. Once again Eira agreed with Fin, he was always right about her. It was annoying to say the least. But heading off to kill one of their comrades- who granted had killed 30 (and counting) other Ringmasters- wasn't ideal. Eira shifted into a more comfortable position, and found that her eyelids had weights on them, closing her eyes shut. The instant her eyes shut sleep engulfed her and she entered a dream. Though the word nightmare would fit her dream better.

(Danni's Note: Okayy, this is a flashback having to do with the story, but there's blood and stuff, so if you can't handle blood, just skip over it. Although things might get a bit confusing if you don't read it, but not that much of a big deal.)

- - - - -

Aiden woke to the feeling of someone violently shaking against him. He quickly opened his eyes, and threw the covers off of Annette with his mouth. His eyes widened at the sight. She was no longer curled into a ball, and was beginning to thrash wildly on the bed. Her eyes were opened, but her eyeballs had rolled towards the back of her head, only showing the whites of her eyes. Her mouth was slightly open, and blood was dripping down from the corner of her mouth. But that wasn't the problem. It was her neck. Growing out from the center of her neck were countless threads, forming a huge spiderweb. The web had surrounded her neck, and it was slowly spreading towards the other parts of her body. Aiden tried to get through to her thoughts, but there was nothing. He couldn't find her thoughts, no matter how deep he dug. It was almost like she was... dead.

Suddenly, he saw something move. Something was nestled into Annette's golden hair, and slowly, it came into view. Aiden growled sharply when he saw what it was. It was a hideous spider looking monster, the size of a fist. It had 10 legs, and more eyes than he could count. Aiden immediately jumped off from the bed, landing onto the floor in his human form. He watched as it climbed onto Annette's face, and slowly, her thrashing stopped. A short, but horrifying scream escaped from her lips before she fell silent again. Aiden didn't know what to do. This was bad.

Eira's eyes snapped open when she heard a blood curdling scream rise from Annette. She stood quickly, to find the Fin was already watching the scene.

"What the hell is that," Eira screeched out as she saw a strange spider like creature crawling to Annette's face. Fin was standing defensibly in front of Eira, his teeth bared. Something radiated from the monster, a dark aura. Not one you could see, but feel. A growl escaped Fin's throat and Eira watched as Aiden stood there, unsure of what to do. Ew, ew, ew, ew, ew. Eira pushed herself past Fin and over to the bed where Annette lay. The only thing that was running through her mind was getting that thing of Annette's face. With a closer look of it, Eira felt her breakfast rising. It was repulsive; she wanted nothing to do with it. She focused on it, studying it for a moment. Fin's thoughts burned into her mind, Don't touch it! Don't touch it! Eira ignored him. Quickly she reached her hand out- preying it would not bite her hand off- and grabbed one of it's legs in an attempt to fling it of Annette's face.
