[Spoiler] Why did Sho kiss Kyoko?

i think he thouht that kyoko gived kiss to ren that why he kissed her

I doubt that. As I mentioned in a previous thread, Kyouko's speech to him directly before this incident, where she was ranting and raving about how she had every intention of living out the rest of her life single told Shou loud and clear that Kyouko and Ren weren't together. But the fact that she'd go out of her way to make him something special for Valentines Day, something other then the generic chocolate she gave to everyone else, and something she was embarrassed talking about, probably made him realize that Ren and Kyouko were steadily drawing closer, and made him realized that Ren was seriously a threat. That's probably more what that kiss was about then anyhting else.

totally agree! and of course, sho should be threatened! i mean, it's ren! although I HATED the fact that sho stole kyoko's first kiss, i hope this would give Ren a motive to get a move on! seriously, he needs to stop being the nice guy who's waiting patiently on the side-lines and do something that will prove his love! kyoko OBVIOUSLY has feelings for him too! so the kiss with sho is good and BAD all at the same time...i just hope that ren will do something about it! ANYTHING!

Sho is obviously just jealous, that's all.
He figured out that Kyoko did something special for Ren for V-day.
Remember how much Sho hates Ren? that's probably a big trigger, for Ren to steal Kyoko's heart.

well hopefully some of these will be answered with the next chapter. i just had a thought i wonder what would have happened had reino stolen a kiss from kyoko infront of both ren and sho of course back during the stalker chapter. i think it will be interesting to see both kyoko and ren's reaction in the next chapter and like everyone i'm hoping that ren will start to get out of his nice guy shell a little to make his feelings known to kyoko

Hey, Ren didn't kiss Kyoko. Sho actually loves Kyoko, that's why he kissed HER, I THINK.

by "he kissed him" did you mean "she kissed him"? b/c if you did, remember that SHO was the one who forced kyoko...not the other way around! hehe

I think that shotaro was jealous of Ren,because he knew that something was going on between those two and he was afraid that he is going to loose kyoko forever,that's why he kissed her Perhaps =/

I honestly don't think it's because Sho's jealous. He wouldn't even admit it even if he did realize that. He's too full of himeself and knows Kyoko so well to consider Ren more than a threat.

He knows he can't ever win her back and that it's too late. But as long as he's still the driving force to her life (i.e. her loathing motive for revenge through show business) it would mean he's still #1 in her life, even if it's not in the same way as he used to be. So that's good enough for him. That's what his ulterior motive has always been when he went to see her: To guarantee that spot stays there (and if she happens to be swayed to into his arms in the process, all the better).

Well, I guess there is still a little jealousy in the mix because what WingsofMorphius said is true. He does hate Ren. How dare Kyoko even think to give him something (especially something more than just chocolates) on V-day! That's probably what drove Sho into steeling her first kiss right in front of him. Now that he understands (well, kind of, anyway) just how much he needs her and the fact that she's starting to move on with her life, of course his strategy will be changing. The kiss is something that would instantly freeze her world back into place and keep him on top. Plus it puts another #1 on the list. And Ren can't do a thing about it, as far as Sho's concerned.

And I must say, I just LOVE Ren's reaction!! The burning rage and jealousy~ And when he sees Show smile like that and realizes what he was up to... How he just smiles back and brushes off the kiss like it was nothing. After all, if he can convince Kyoko that it was nothing Sho's whole trip would be null and void. He's got some sort of reason (probably to do with acting, maybe?) why he can't "be" with Kyoko yet, so he's got to keep it so no other guy wins her frozen heart (yeah, right...) before he's done.

Wow, sorry this got long...

I would really love to see all of that put into the anime. I really wish they would continue..
