if i could speak japanese sure why not. their uniforms uhh i dont think so. i dont think anime school uniforms are actually used in real life. coz in the philippines, the uniform for our school was

for boys:
white under shirt + white polo shirt + black slacks + white socks + black shoes.

for girls:
white under shirt + white blouse + black long skirt + white socks + black shoes.

and its pretty boring

While Japanese school uniforms are nice and they have awesome extracurricular activities, academically they SUCK. I'm not sure about the actual numbers, but many or most schools only need a 30% to pass. It's a small wonder that kids throw themselves so wholeheartedly into sports and clubs; they hardly need to study!

The consequence of that is they have to spend countless hours studying in cram schools to prepare for entrance exams for junior high, high school, and college. It's not uncommon to not return home until very late at night, only to get up bright and early the next day because you have to attend the late session at cram school. You really don't have a choice either, because your entire future is dependent on scoring well on that entrance exam.

So no, I am glad I was educated in America and I shudder at the idea of sending my kids to school in Japan.
