ok.. so im going to japan in like six weeks.. so around late october and early november..  .. anyways i have always been wondering if it is appropriate to wear uhmm.. short shorts? lol and you know loose tank tops wear u can see bra straps and all in japan? or is it not really ok to wear revealing clothes in japan?> |

If you're going late October into early November, it'll depend on where you're at. Though frankly, unless you're down in Okinawa, you'll want to avoid short shorts and tanktops anyway. It's going to be chilly, you know! T-shirts for the days it's still decently warm, long sleeves for when it gets a little cooler, and a light jacket when the temperature starts to drop (or a heavy jacket if it gets too cold, you never know).

its not unnormal to wear those kinda of clothes in japan, alot of girls wear stuff like that durring the summer, and remember, tho its a different country, japan is very into the western style in some things and clothes just so happens to be one of em so expect to see what u would normally see in any western country or ur own country. BUT since u said around oct.-nov. its gonna be chilly-cold there so bring light jacket and jeans and/or a heavy jacket cuz its gonna be Fall there

how about a SWEATER, and JEANS....its fall i'm pretty sure its somewhat cold over there >.> people don't care what you wear tbh Japan, China, thailand, America, Puerto rico , etc.....

will it be weird if i wear winter leggings in dec?
i mean, coz it will be snowing and everything.
so the top will be a fur coat.
as in, the top half of ur body will be baggy, while the bottom half only got winter leggings with boots, will it be strange?
coz in jdrama, ppl also wear skirt even in winter

I know this is way late, but you want to stay with more modest clothes, especially if you are a girl. while they do wear Western clothes, cleavage is considered unacceptable by many Japanese. because western girls typically have more curves than japanese girls, alot of the clothing that they get isnt as revealing as clothes we get here. if you hear "munesegi (cleavage)" it's probably a negative comment and you'll want a sweater or something to cover up. although if you dont speak japanese, you're in the clear from hearing the comments |
