I miss my friends.
Everything else in high school is something that I don't miss.
But overall, I'm not missing it too much.

that's exactly how I feel! I skipped classes all the time and always got in trouble for it. It was the school itself I hated-- the people and most of the teachers. I didn't mind learning, I was even a pretty good student, but I couldn't stand being there

I'll admit, I do miss it a bit. There's a lot I want to relive. I miss the purple hair, the mohawks, the gothic-punk clothes, the awesome friends, the relaxed responsibility-freeness.

I miss a couple of teachers I had who were really cool. My two favorite teachers actually started the ultimate frisbee club and I do really miss that. But overall I have to say I like college more than my experience in high school.

Hmmmm, let's see, 1965. Thanks to John F Kennedy the country Vietnam was turning a nightmare of epic proportion for US military involvement. Involuntary military conscription of new recruits was still in vogue back then. Hate is too strong a word. I think the word despised is a better descriptor. The 1 word that best describes my attitude during all of high school would be MELANCHOLY. If there ever was a hell on earth it would have to be my time in high school. College the first time through wasn't too much better but it was a significant improvement over that penitentiary disguised as a high school.
My high school is purportedly the 3rd oldest in the USA and it's still in business: Baltimore City College, Baltimore, Maryland. Founded in 1839. My prison sentence: September, 1962-June, 1965.
Reunions attended since graduation: zero, zip, natta. Won't happen, ever.

I could care less about my high school, the only positive was that I had less responsibilities, it was hell other than that.
I enjoy college way more.
