Oh hell no. Please I beg you guys, do not live like I have

If I ever have kids, there is so much shit I will never tell them about my life...

It's not really my business, but the best way to avoid something is to be aware of it, if you don't want someone to follow in certain footsteps of yours it's best to tell them what you did and make them aware of the consequences and why they should never repeat your actions. If I ever have kids I will tell them whatever bad things I have done and what came out of it so if they are ever in a similar situation they will know how to react.

if it's about my future kids, i'm guessing the apples won't fall far from the tree.. they will be my karma for being a useless son.

if it concerns other kids.. i can only say: "when i was your age, i did a lot of crazy shit.. sure, i laugh about it every now and then but that doesn't mean i don't regret it!"

Me, compared to everyone at my school, yep.

"Yeeaaah man lets go eat some pills after school."
"Ooookaaay maaaan, lets go get drunk to the point that we get a friend, steal a truck crash into a ditch and killing one of us."
"Ohhh waaaaitt maaaan, that already happened last week eeehh?"
"Ohhh yaaah maaaan."

*both laughs*

I swear to god thats how 90% of the students at my school talk like that.

I think I am, I don't really do anything bad and I am very strict upon living my life with morals, I'm just lazy though that might be a problem

No not even close. Not that I do bad things like break laws and stuff, but I would not recommend living like I do.

Well I'm not quite in the position that I could be. Too be honest I could not tell you with a guarantee. But if I were to guess I would have to say no. I'm nothing special. I can't say I see myself as a good role model. I watch anime all day to escape life.
I'm an obsessed Otaku who take my anime too seriously and I can't get a single date...

I think a lot of you are a bit too hard on yourselves. Good role models aren't always saints. They might drink or swear. They might have a lot of mistakes in their past. You don't have to be "something special" either. Sometimes, too, good role models don't have to try, although I think it's good if you do try. Also, you don't have to be a role model to kids, you can be a role model to anyone - including your friends or even your superiors (parents, professors, managers).

Who is a good role model is pretty relative, there is no one person who would be considered a good role model by people of all religions (or lack of), all political standings, all cultural beliefs, all ages, etc.
In a work or volunteering environment, I try to be a good role model. To my friends, I try to give good advice and do things that they can repeat and I'd be happy. To my son, I am constantly working on trying to be a good role model for him. For me, that doesn't mean being perfect. It means a lot of teaching, encouragement, discussions, and guidance, though, and that's just fine with me.

I would be considered a bad role model by many - like extremely conservative ultra-religious super-Republicans. But what some think of me is irrelevant. What change for good I can cause in the world is what matters to me.
