How would you describe your surroundings in this situation?

I just wanted to change things up and make a different kind of thread.
Hopefully it doesn't bomb too hard.

You are standing alongside a lake, and you have just murdered someone you love.
You are in a daze, still in shock, full of emotion and adrenalin.
The loved one is not necessarily in the lake, but they could be.

You are staring at the lake and its surroundings.
How would you describe it (the water, the sky, the land around the lake), in the mind state of a murderer?

Anyway, if I just murdered someone why the hell would I still be at the scene of the crime? There would be no describing because I'd be too busy running my butt off.

That's a really deep question. I'm not sure about how I'd describe it.

Now why would I want to murder anyone :3

The images around me would seem extremly clear but yet I wouldn't be thinking anything, I would be completely empty minded, dazed and confused. Then I'll fall into the lake and drown while looking at the lights above me xP

dude you do know this is her HOMEWORK right? i've taken creative writing/short story and i know for a FACT that exact example is given all the time.....god dammit you should do it yourself! relying on the internet for a creative writing assignment is just fail >.> that and it would do the opposite of what your teachers trying to do with ya.

well to contradict my very statement just for the heck of it i'll do it anyways.

....Apparently nature wasn't as fascinating as it once was.....the crystal blue lake which i've once swam in had become a dark pale blue. the shining clear sky seemed to be enveloped in shadows as the dawning sun sets, oddly enough what little sparkle that the stars once had faded into oblivion as they seemed to pale in comparison to the moon....oh the moon, the gallantly figure began to rot in my eyes, its white and pure surface became gray and scarred, its majestic look began to fade as it became clearer and clearer and somehow its size seemed to be ballooning slowly into an ever more dreadful and huge figure. the bunnies, deers and fishes slowly receded from view as the pond became ever more silent as though something lurked beneath. the lake howled as it became louder and louder as if calling my name sending a cold chill down my very soul.

As i stare around the desolate view of the lake i noticed that the thick bushes and trees slowly creeped up behind me almost forming a cage of thorns. Everything seemed muddled as i recollect my thoughts. have it always been this dark and lonely?
