Best Country to Live in?

Well its certainly not Ireland for obvious reasons.
Scandanavian countries always seem to win happiest/best/prettiest country polls and the countries all look beautiful,so I'd say their the best.Plus Sweden is the home of Wallander, one of the best shows I've seen of late so thats a plus.
Don't feel so bad, if anything the US kinda beat you there when China absorbed the US debt. In fact I actually like your honesty, as opposed to the ignorance and denial that are the typical US mentality.

I would like to visit Sweden for once, a friend of mine went there on her European trip. And it's really nice even from Canadian standard.

I wish to board ship and sail to Ireland after Uni for many reasons, to find my Alpha and my Omega....roots, in other words,
be a strayawaychild , a wanderer there on that Isle of my ancestors, for many reasons known only to myself and the things that have been handed down to
me through voice, song and the Shamanism of my grandfather.....all in my lifetime on this earth. 23 years ..

But then I will return to my fields of corn and blackbird, my forest of mayapples. oaks and raven...go again to
the river which runs deep and wild beyond the sea of trees, all these things I call home.

Here in these United States,

I love my heritage, but God Bless America.

Slainte!

to be fair every country has a set of flaws 8P so this is a hard question for me to answer, I figured most people here on CR mostly say Japan, 8P but really? what makes it "better" then any other country in this world? (no I have nothing against Japan and im not Anti-Japan either) those who say it has the lowest crime rate dont keep this in mind, Japan is a smaller country, of course its gonna seem that way, just as much as theirs rapists, murders and ect in the US, that stuff happens everywhere, every country is gonna have its ugly sides too it regardless, Japan is not all about fashion, girls/guys, anime and J-pop, Japan is not like living in a real life anime 8P, yeah I do wanna visit there and live there for a bit but I dont think its better then any other place in this world

I love my home in the USA and am pretty patriotic, but I would like to think I could live anywhere there were warm, friendly people. I LOVE PEOPLE! I love learning what and how and why we all do the things we do. I am fascinated by how we are different and the same. If you met me IRL I would hug each and every one of yer necks and want to get to really know who you are inside quickly!!!! (((((HUGS))))) sandi

From my own experience i;'d say USA. It's relitively cheap cost of living wise and house pricing is really good you can get way more for your money than most countries housing and the job market is quite vast.

And anyone who said Japan will need to try it to get a dose of reality it's expensive,Hard to find a job and you're still a nerd in Japan and will be treated in the same alienated way you are treated in the west. Sure the crime rates are low and it's a safe place to live but they have one of the highest suicide rates in the world. Think about it.

Denmark, Sweden, Norway or Finland when it comes to nearly everything. The standard of living there is just higher than anywhere else in the world, and the difference between rich and poor the lowest. The only downside I can think of is relatively long winters.

This is the absolute truth. In fact, 80-90% of CR membership would be ostracized from Japanese society.

Nerdiness and extremely love of anime doesn't make a person special or wanted. If they hate nerds in America, they REALLY hate nerds in Japan.

I love Sweden, I think it's a great country to live in. Our society is very well built and stable. If not Sweden, I'd probably like to live in Norway. I wouldn't want to live in Japan, but I'd love to maybe spend a month or two each year there.

I keep hearing awesome things about Nordic countries. I've been to Japan and Germany, and for the most part, I enjoyed them both (I actually enjoyed Germany a bit more). I'll have to visit there, though.

Anime is merely an art form ....of fantasy,,,it does not automatically make anyone a nerd,,,per se

I think they have much more sorrows to relate to now...than nerdism...

I will live like a wildflower....in a clannad....

Yeah you should, however, the downside is that we may not have a lot of mindblowing tourist-attractions, if you know what I mean. It really depends on what kind of person you are :)..

*edit*

Mountains for skiing is probably the only thing cool we really could offer xd

Those statistics are BULLSHIT. Well actually, on the bottom graph, I'd say most of it is true, but you can't explain stuff well with just lettered grades.

"God once kissed a place on Earth, and we named in Germany"

Oh, Germany is wonderful. Oh, Germany is free. Any british people and American people ever complain about the government? Yeah, all the time. So much, that it's almost seen as normal throughout the world to us. But the thing is...it's not like that in other countries. In Germany, the people adore the government and it's policies, because they're not moronic illuminati puppets.

Okay I'm not exactly sure what you're saying here. otherwise I'd have either a caustic or enthusiastic response. Are you being sarcastic in some way? anyhow. I'd love it if you cared to rephrase and explain what you mean.
