I'm sure you think it is. And you are free to do so. But I don't think worshiping your government helps prove it to the rest of us. That's how Germany got itself into trouble 60 years ago if I recall correctly.

Ah, people always recalling the wars. What about the other 150 years (exactly, year-wise) that the country has been founded? It became the richest european country for a while, and even now is beating other countries in all kinds of social, economical and political areas, but nobody can create a valid argument against this when they are negatively commenting about the nation, so they always refer to Nazi Germany. You've gotta realise - Adolf Hitler was a neo-nazi and a nationalist, with a few cronies who became an army and forced the entire country into a war. Worshipping the government never got them into trouble - one man with unrealistic ambitions did.

Also, I don't wish to prove anything to the rest of you. I dislike the world and all of it's people. LOLOLOLOL.

Then you became your own monster, through the "Seven Social Processes that Grease the Slippery Slope of Evil":

* Mindlessly taking the first small step
* Dehumanization of others
* De-individuation of self (anonymity)
* Diffusion of personal responsibility
* Blind Obedience to Authority
* Uncritical conformity to group norms
* Passive tolerance of evil through inaction or indifference

Not that any of that bothers me.

Are you going to counter what I said about Germany, or just discuss me personally?
Neither, when the Lucifer Effect can affect all walks of life, irregardless of nationality and personality. Therefore you're just another propagating mindless ape.

The opposite of a hero isn't a villain, it is a bystander.
The opposite of love isn't hate, it is indifference.
The opposite of good isn't evil, it is apathy.

The opposite of a hero is a villain
The opposite of love is hate.
The opposite of good is evil.

There are times where I am more spiritual, but alot of the time, I see what is in front of me only. I become realistic. And right now, the reality is that you are speaking of an irrelevant topic. This thread's purpose is to discuss where the best place to live is. Unless you can disagree with my view that Germany is that place in a fair way, then I no longer wish to talk to you on this particular area.

As for me being a propagating mindless ape...well, all humans are. You are too, and you realise this. You just don't want to admit it like most people, because it is frustrating that the boundaries of our knowledge prevent us from behaving any differently.

Now please refrain from replying, unless of course, as I previously stated, you are going to comment about my opinion on Germany - or else I will simply ignore you. I am not avoiding what you say - I'm just plainly not interested.

What's so important about you boxing yourself in the arbitrary concept of nation states? When you can't even think globally, that "realistically" speaking there's only one place we can live due to globalization: putting Earth in a bad place.

Try your best to ignore that. When you're simply being superficial.

No I'm not recalling any wars. I'm recalling one specific regime that shoveled 10 million of it's own citizens into an industrial furnace because the government they worshiped ordered it.

minor correction. Neo-nazi means 'new nazi' Hitler was one of the founding members of the original National Socialist German Workers' Party. There is nothing new about him. and your description of his tenure in power is equally erroneous and superficial.

Nationalist is not necessarily a bad thing. but when you're arguing that your country is the greatest, don't you think it's a bit disengenious to use the nationalism of another man as a scapegoat for one of your country's failures?

Unfortunately, you have not corrected me. Indeed, Hitler was a founder of the National Socialist German Worker's Party. But he wasn't there when the real ORIGINAL German Worker's Party were made, who had a different concept and different political views. Along comes a young man named Adolf Hitler, he starts an up-rising, and most of the nazis agree and join in. I'll have you know that he was an amazing speaker, and if he wasn't a warmonger, or he was the leader for either Britain or America, while someone who was the same as him became a nationalistic socialist for Germany, things would have been much better. So of course they followed him, with his charisma and whatnot.

And I am not using him was a scapegoat for one of the country's failures.

If Germany wasn't suffering from prolonged economic depression and war debts at that time, do you think extreme totalitarianism and fascism would had a chance to succeed?

You gave one lunatic far too much credit than he actually would deserve.

I have only credited him on one of his personal skills, nothing more. And no, I don't think that it would work, but the Nazis certainly did.

That he's nothing but talks? While he's talking about superiority complex in the form of national pride, in an era of great suffering of inferiority. Hardly amazing in my perspective, when it's all just narcissism through the cultural practices of self-promotion and self-advertisement. Or rather an extreme form of ethnocentrism and labeling that justified colonialism.

Nazi is a contraction of National Socialist. He wasn't that young when he and the SS murdered the SA in the "night of the long knives" or are you talking about his role in the abortive Munich Putsch? or are you just talking out of your hat?

anyhow blind worship of your government ANY government in any nation. Is not, to my mind, a good thing.

funny, now that I think of it. The discontented being in the pay of the secret alliance of international banking was common nazi tagline.. .what were you saying earlier about the Illuminati?

This couldn't be right...
Ireland's economy is horrible at the moment.

But I would like to live in Ireland maybe... Germany isn't this bad. We just got a huge flow of immigrants and thos with German origins get less children with every year. This would mean that one day, Germans might become the minority in Germany... But that's far away. I also have to think what I might do when I go to another country. I'm going to go to university, but it would just suck if I couldn't do my job in an other country...

So.. just learn how to make everyone a good German regardless of mother tongue or birth nation...

... I'll let you know in a generation or so how that's working out for us here in Canada.
