ok, so my friend showed me this skit and after watching it, i pretty much cried >.<

it's about a girl who starts off having a good relationship with Jesus until different challenges intervene, drawing her away from the Lord

i RECOMMEND you watch it since it speaks for itself (and my words can't really describe how amazing it is)

Oh god. I thought it was lame that God looked so hiphop, but then it was very touching how the girl was pulled back by Jesus. I would have HURLED myself towards him, like really throw, claw, do whatever possible way.

It's really sad to see how teens think all of the sins are Cool, fashion statements. Lust is nothing but chasing after the wind, money is not evil, but satan's motives are, alcohol is but a method to keep your senses dull to lower your guard.

You know humans have to rely on their 5 senses after Adam had sinned against God? Before that, our 5 senses only played a small part of our lives. Because everything was good, we didn't need our sight to see danger, didn't need our tongue to let us know what was OK to eat, didn't need to feel to rush into sharp and dangerous points, didn't smell to smell the good and bad, our 5 senses were to better enjoy God's goodness, as an enhancement to our lives with him.

Now, we use these 5 senses to learn, to discern the bad and good, and satan strives to dull them by use of drugs, alcohol, cigs, keep our sights on the wrong things, like money, ideal 'beauty' of hollywood standards, and keeping our mind filled with unnecessary worry. By blinding a person the path to God, Satan keeps the person thinking he's lost, and alone. If only he would see!

hmmm, i don't mean to offend you or anything but i found it a little ironic that you used the phrase "oh god" in the beginning when the Lord has said not to use His name in vain.

this also makes me want to bring up another point: do you notice how people use God's name in vain all the time but they never use anyone else's? it goes to show how much satan despises God by manipulating people to only use God and Jesus's name out of context. no one ever uses Buddha, Muhammad, or any other person's name in vain.

I use his name, but not in vain. I like to use it because I know we're cool with each other, me and God. He knows my style, and I love to declare his name for nothing. Plus, I really think using his name in vain is to call it out and not mean it. Like calling out to God, then blaming things on Him, or calling his name and make it part of vulgar verbal curse.

The secular world likes to take things out of context. Notice that they have many new religions that use the Bible but not in the right way. Cults use the Bible, but the stem of it is selfishness. They seek to siphon money off businessmen.

And sometimes, people who interpret wrongly from the Bible (as long as it's not one of the foundational truths, like Jesus did not die for our sins, but for eg. read love into a passage that has nothing to do with Love, they can still be saved, despite the wrong impression. Because God is merciful, and as long as our focus and sights are on him, his forgiveness are paid for through Christ. Thus if we repent, be it from that we want to acknowledge and tell him that we are aware and want to seek his help to change, and not repent to try to seek forgiveness that was already bought by Christ.

(Do you know that believers create sin from things that are not? For example, if someone feels that eating doves is a sin, disrepectful to God, even though it may not be true, no written law that it is sinful to eat a dove, but as long as a believer thinks it is, AND eats it still, then it's sin.)

I was watching that vid with God, as usual, and he kinda told me that he was more graceful looking than that haha.

Haha. I kinda like the name Jesus better. People use 'God' for their own gods, you realise? It's too non-specific.

Wow. That was so touching. I cried the first time I saw it.. I keep watching it over and over again. I think this is incredible, He loved us the first moment he saw us, even before then. I loved how this was played out. It was so.. wahh amazing! I love this so much.. I love Him so much! I am just stunned and uh.. I don't know what to say, just word-less.. Want to say thank you very much for this.. God is doing such a deep work in my life.. Undoing what's been done and just.. I am just literally word-less.. I cannot say what I feel.. Incredible. Thanks so much.
